Fabulous gift shop selling good from local artists…read more I have to admit I underestimated this shop from the outside. I had walked past it countless times walking up and down 23rd, but finally decided to stop in when I was looking for a gift for my partner's mom. I was not disappointed, and this shop has something for everyone, not just middle aged moms. Not only did I find the perfect gift and card, I bought a few things to take home for myself. The quality and craftsmanship of the items here is really impressive. From the paper quilled greeting cards, to the pottery, to the hand carved wooded fountain pens, I was in awe at the level of talent displayed in this store. It's really well decorated (with emphasis on the current season) and there is eye candy everywhere you look. I really wish I had taken more pictures because the two I took just do not do this place justice. My favorite part of the store was the "toppings bar", a cute little nook filled with ribbons and cute gift tags to add the perfect finishing touch to any wrap job. Bottom line: If you are looking for a gift, or just something festive for your holiday decor or table setting, this is a great place to consider.

Setup was super easy and felt very intimate in the space. They have a fan and ability to open the garage door for warmer days. Loved the booth to check in on entry, as well as the bar. Would absolutely recommend this space for a memorable event. Easy public transit access and plenty of free street parking around, although plan into the schedule time to find a spot for events starting ~6pm. Literally around the corner from Lil' America food truck pod, and walkable to a bunch of other restaurants.

Shout out to Kelly and Syd for answering questions and settling issues quickly. As a community, they also run a bunch of different events and happy hours that are included in the price of membership. 10/10 would rent from them again. I bought a top for my babe and when I was looking at it she mentioned she had a navy colorway, which wasn't out on the floor but she went to get it for me to take a look at and I MUCH preferred it to the green one I had seen and was considering. I can't wait to see her in it! It's not a cheap shop, particularly if you're looking for clothing. But they had a sale going on when I was here and the two racks were packed with stuff. Staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming without being pushy. The main ceramic artist is JaMPDX and their pottery is super cute and often involve little critters, fruit baskets, swirly designs, pastel colors. A few of the other artists who use the shop are more edgy or masculine. I believe they all make the ceramics in the back of this very store. The gift shop helps support local senior crafters who sell their handcrafted items on consignment. It also benefits the center's programs and services through the sale of items donated to the store. There is a completely random selection of merchandise such as scarves, hats, aprons, baby clothes and toys, household items, small appliances, books and more. And the best part is the prices! It's not uncommon to find dishes and candle holders for 0.10 cents, or books for 0.25 cents. The handcrafted items run the gamut in pricing, but it all goes to a good cause. I'm committed to doing what I can to help seniors in my community, so shopping here and donating items for them to sell is the least I can do. But mostly, it's fun gossiping with the senior volunteers who run the store.
