They had the perfect amount of space for us! We booked a 4 hour slot on a Wednesday evening, and they allowed us to bring in some catering for dinner. They had a vast menu of different crafts, with materials like macrame, cement, leather, and more. The prices were $39 or $44 depending on the crafts, with more add ons. Each of us chose our own craft and were provided the materials and tools. Each table had some basic tools like scissors and tape, and they had a wall of paint, stains, and string to choose from! I chose a macrame yoga mat holder, so my craft bag had some rope and wooden rings, and I got to use a vertical frame with a hook clamped to the table to help with my weaves. Each craft has very detailed instructions and the employees checked in regularly and helped when we needed it! I had some frustrations because I was struggling to pull extremely long pieces of rope through knots I was making. The owner came by and gave me some tips to make it easier, and brought over some rubber bands to help bundle the ropes so it wasn't as difficult to make the knots. I highly appreciated his attentiveness and helpful tips!! I wasn't able to finish my craft in time so they gave me a copy of the instructions so I could finish at home. Overall, the employees were so helpful and made sure we had a good time! They also had some drinks on tap, I got a prickly pear seltzer which was really yummy! Overall, this was such a fun experience & I highly recommend booking for teams. I work in a virtual environment so I only see my team a few times a year. I really enjoyed being able to do a fun, creative, hands-on activity with my team. It was a bonus to have catering and drinks so I could take some breaks to mingle and walk around and see my teammates' progress on their crafts. Thank you DIY BAR for a wonderful experience!!!

There are a lot of fun items, and you never know what they will had. That said, it is chaos!! Not just filled with grabby people, but the items themselves are just everywhere. It reminds me of what I'd expect cleaning out a grandparent's garage would look like. The employees seem frustrated when interacting with customers - maybe because it was the end of the day, or maybe it's just a personal decision? My needs were simple, but most remained unmet. I was excited to FINALLY get an opportunity to stop in during our mom-and-daughter Galentine's Day adventure. There was one person working there, and they were so sweet, friendly, and helpful. That alone would bring me back again and again. Secondly, the space is airy, well-lit, and delightfully organized, which is very conducive to knowing exactly where to get what you need and also lends itself to relaxed meandering when you don't have a specific need, BUT as all yarn-crafters know, the yarn will let you know you need them. I don't make the rules. There's a fabulous selection of premium, affordable basics, natural, and synthetic fibers. The knitting needles and crochet hooks are behind the counter, so you will have to be intentional here. In places where I don't necessarily need any tools but see one, I tend to buy it. (Please respect my privacy on how many size 6 16" circulars I have purchased.) So, in this regard, Fiber Rhythm is saving me (and my pocketbook) from myself! In addition, there are dyes, several kits, and a winder to self-wind your purchases. To be honest, there was much, much more, but I had parked in a spot where I had to move by 4:00 pm, and we got there at 3:49 pm. This was a literal "speed run" through a yarn store. I was able to see glass sheets being made and take a tour of the factory and Resource Center. The staff was friendly and helpful and I had a whole new appreciation for the amount of work and quality controls that go into each sheet of glass. I really appreciate that the company works hard to retain their employees and create an atmosphere of collaboration. Seeing the thought that goes into creating the glass not to mention the choreography of the adding and mixing (and yes, I DO mean choreography!) to make the combination of colors.
