BUYER BEWARE! They do not maintain the RVs and as a result they have water damage. WHEELEN sold me a unit with water damage and then denied it and told me to call the manufacturer. Water came in the roof through several spots 10 days after I purchased it. Lance had a problem with the tape used to seal the roof vents and dealers were instructed to pull the tape and caulk them before sale. This dealer did not perform that maintenance and as a result the unit has leaked in several spots and they take no responsibility. No doubt this is also the case with the other units on their lot. Wheelen did not disclose water damage and did not perform required maintenance, then stated the unit is in new condition. Be Careful with this dealer. I was going to place an order for a new Lance Camper. The dealer quoted me a price. I inquired about the deposit and what the refund of the deposit if something went wrong. Here is the reply" Deposit is $1000 and it is with intent to purchase..... why would you ask about a refund if you are going to purchase it?? We have NO control over delivery date! Approximate build date and delivery to the dealership is up to Lance". I proceeded to explained its a what if MFG can't deliver, or something wrong with with the unit. Here is her reply. "Guess you need to look elsewhere for the camper! Get one where you can! We have not had a problem with any of the orders that we've placed and getting them! I've got sold units coming in all the time, we have a very good service department and very few returns after the delivery!! Never had to give a deposit back yet.... now I have made the decision that a customer may too much of a problem and told them here's your money go someplace else! This is a long established RV Dealer who is primarily know for its long relationship with the Lance travel trailer and truck campers. This is a old school family business and Sheri Wheelen and her family provided an excellent hassle free buying experience for the purchase of our new Lance travel trailer. This is not a high overhead dealership. They have a very nice and adequate facility that was probably paid off years ago. I found Sheri to be knowledgeable, straight forward and easy to work with. She provided us accurate information on her product and was extremely helpful in a honest evaluation of our tow vehicle and professionally guided us to the trailer we could safely pull and stop. Our TV is a first year SUV with factory airbag suspension and zero knowledge base to draw from. Prior to the sale Sheri took the time to research our TV so she could guide us to a safe and suitable TT purchase. Wheelen RV performed without issue on all aspects of our new Lance RV. Went in to buy parts and sealant for my cabover. The lady let me shop in peace and looked up prices on items for me if they weren't easily found. I expected crass jerks based on the reviews but I was pleasantly surprised to find decent parts and people stocked in the parts and service building. read more

I am a professional window cleaner. I wasn't a customer, but I spoke to the Mr. Wheelen a few months ago about cleaning his window. He was alright in his demeanor, but said they were going to wait for the weather to break. In the mean time I made an estimate and sent it to them specifically saying what the terms were and everything. I do this for a specific reason. I want the customer to understand what I'm offering and the price I'm offering it for. Every time I called to be sure they got the estimate and see if there were any questions I was always tossed around from person to person then told to call back very, very rudely. The rudest I believe was his wife, Mrs. Wheelen. She was terrible. Really laid on the sarcasm and not carrying about how selfish and rude she could be. I spoke to Mr. Wheelen last week, he asked the price and I told him $200. He said, "That's it? Alright, come in next week." He wanted me to come in after the weather broke, which I don't understand because his windows were located beneath deep overhangs and wouldn't be touched by the rain and rain water, unless you're in a very dirty, polluted area, doesn't hurt the windows at all. I got there and took immediate notice at how terrible the windows looked along with the deck, railings, the siding had bird feces all over it. It was just terrible for such a pretty place to be contaminated as such. I was going to make an offer to clean all of the bird waste, the algae on the floor and the algae on the railings up. I got started doing the BASIC CLEAN which I highlighted and outlined in the estimate as a very basic cleaning where I just put water on the glass and squeegee it off. But, they never saw the estimate. I have no idea why not with as many times as I called. The highest windows were terrible. I cleaned them once with just soaping the window and squeegeeing it down, but it didn't do much at all. I took my rag and wiped it and it came clean. This was a lot more work than the initial estimated cleaning and $200 allotted for. I would have had to have taken the rag, tie it to the pole, extend it roughly 28-foot in the air and scrub all of the glass. I decided to let them know and tell them if they wanted that I would have to add an additional $50 onto the bill. I tried to tell Mrs. Wheelen, but she was absolutely terrible and hateful to me. She said something to the effect of, "Yeah, well I don't want to deal with that right now. Look at all this! Look at is! I've got so much other stuff to do, the windows are honestly the last thing I'm worried about." I was thinking, "You ought to take a bit more price in your appearance and things may go a little better for you." She said her husband was on the lot and I needed to go see him. I took to the lot and found Mr. Wheelen in a trailer. I told him that I could do the basic clean for the suggested price or add $50 and wipe down the tall windows. He says, "Well, that's not what you said. You're trying to jerk me around around." This caught me completely off guard. I mean completely off guard. He said, "That's not what you said when you quoted the price and you're trying to get over on us." I said, "Sir, did you see the estimate?" He said, "Just never mind." I said, "You mean you don't want the service?" He said, "No, I don't. I'm busy. Just get out of here." I said, "Hang on a minute. I'm trying to be fair with you. I told you I could do the basic cleaning which is what I estimated, but your windows up top wouldn't be as clean. I can still do it." He said, "No. Just get out of here. I'm busy and don't have time for you." So, I left. I was upset because they were so rude and short with me. Why couldn't they just talk like civilized human beings? I just wanted to converse and find out what they wanted. That it. No, they wanted to get short and just slam me and try to run dominance on me. Why? How silly. Right now their windows could be sparkling clean and shiny and I could be up $250, but I was out an entire day because that's how long i set aside for them and their windows still look terrible. I could understand this if it just happened once, maybe if it happened twice, but several times it happened with their haughty attitude and rude, selfish, biased behavior. They ought to be ashamed of themselves. If my son would have acted like them I would have bent him over my knee and told him big boys don't act like little boys. Goodness. read more

This is probably the worst rv dealer in the four state area.i usually shop at coach light rv nice people there btw anyway I figured I'd try wheelin out bought a couple parts for my rv one broke so I went to take it back she snotty lady at the dest says not happening since it's been opened very rude.while I was waiting I overheard a mechanic there talking about putting used parts on an rv there repairing to so beware if you use them check any parts. read more

Horrible customer service and extremely rude!!! I am in the market to buy an RV and took my family there on Saturday. We arrived about an hour before closing and the sales women was walking out of the door. As soon as I got out of my truck she asked, "What do you want?" I said, "I am interested in an RV and saw a few online that I'd like to take a look at." She said, "Well! We are closing so I can't help you!" I said that your sign says you are open until 3. She said, "Well! We ain't get no customers all day, so we closing! [sic]" Then she walked away. You'd think if you haven't had any customers all day, you'd welcome a customer interested in your RVs.
