Bad, our sales person started by assuming he could only get us a good rate on a brand new trailer…read moreeven though what we had already picked out was used. Then once we had decided we were going with what we had previously picked out all was well. Started the process and everything was going as it should. Went to pick it up, did the final walk through and saw a large break in the front glass and brought it to their attention. The sales person, Lance, stated that it was very common for stars to happen and they run like any other auto glass when a rock hits then. That we should just file an insurance claim after a while to have it replaced....that it was definitely like that before... so I guess it's current practice to ask customers to commit insurance fraud... the day we pulled it off the lot, we took it out. We made it to our campground and while driving through the campground one of it's two awnings came out on it's own, while we are driving...clipped a tree and ripped completely off. The warranty will not cover it, even though it was an obvious mechanical failure as it came out on it's own...because it collided with the tree. So day one, insurance claim. Put it in the shop, insurance adjuster says, well wtf...I thought I was here for an awning only...this thing needs a new roof too....it has a ton of hail damage....I called Colaw and got the run around about how the adjuster is trying to say we need more than we do...excuse me that I don't believe the fraudsters

We purchased a 2018 Forest River Wildcat travel trailer from them. They gave us a check list of…read moreeverything they said checked out good & said there was nothing wrong with this trailer. We walked thru it & it looked good to our eyes (which we did not know what to look for) it was also cloudy that day & hard to see inside it so we asked plenty of questions. We were told everything worked, no leaks, no holes in the awnings, good roof. Well when we got it home we called a professional that is all he does is hook up campers & trailers. He went thru it & pointed out that the roof had NEVER BEEN sealed & it indeed leaked inside & you can easily see in the (sunlight) which we did not have sunlight looking at it on the lot. They had tried to repair it without it showing but he was able to point it out into us. All corners of living room & bedroom had been leaked on & is plainly seen! Also both Awnings HAD HOLES IN THEM! They said there were no holes in them & the Awnings also was on their check list that had supposedly been checked out. Also one of the Awnings arms is warped so badly it barely works & just flops around. There was no carbon monoxide protector in it & it is supposedly against the law to sell a travel trailer without one in it. We paid $22,500 for it & found out it's only worth $10,000. They ripped us off Royally!!!! Buyer BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY! They will lie to you just to get their sale. Then when you called & confront them they said we did a walk thru & they are not liable, I guess we will hit an attorney & take them to court. BEWARE! BEWARE of COLAW RV SALES!!!

We listed our rv with this company the last week of March. Yesterday I reached out for an update…read morebecause it has been there nearly two months and have not heard a word from them. I spoke with someone who shared comments on the rv. Later that day we sent them an email, offering to reduce our payout price if they reduced the asking price. I received a call from them and we agreed. The amounts were in writing in the email and no other amounts were discussed. Then I went to their website and discovered that they did not use the asking price they agreed to. So I emailed them. They argued with me, even though we had an agreement. I make a counter offer on how we could fix this situation. They told me to come get my rv. They then removed my rv from their online lists and told me when I could come pick it up. These people breeched our agreement by removing our rv before the agreed upon 60 days. They never bothered to reach out about lowering the price. Then they unlisted our rv. Bait and switch, pure and simple. Do not let them waste your time. They have unsavory business practices.

Are you kidding me? This is obviously a tactic to keep buyers from seeing the problems before purchasing it, and no one with any sense would work with a seller that does this. It's shameful.

In response to your evaluation; they showed me what they used and it was JD Powers Low retail which…read moreif you click the information icon, it says that "should not be used as a trade in value". Your personnel also had not added options that came with my unit. So your "business" is using an online tool that says is "not for trade in values" and not including options to evaluate a trade in. If you do add in the options JD powers says not enough data on units sold to evaluate. If they would have taken the time to search online what units like this are going for, you would see that their quote was not reflective of the current market. I would say give me another quote but I do not have confidence in how you conduct the most simple business tasks you are supposed to do. I would love to see that evaluation and compare it what JD Powers shows on my screen right now now of 30100 and that is without my options that came with the unit. I pointed this out to Ian and he agreed that your evaluation did not include options. Also if there is not enough data according to JD Powers how do you evaluate it and why didn't you do this instead of just saying " oh it only about a thousand with your options" which was the dismissive tesponse I got every time I pointed out things.

But I also knew most of the time it sat empty unused and a burden on taxpayers. We are surrounded by RV dealers, did we really need another? Apparently yes we did! The staff is professional and seem to knowledgeable and are helpful not pushy. Buying an RV is a big decision, it takes time and if you're doing it wisely lots of evaluations and inspections to ensure a smart purchase. They seem to get this and are patient and supportive about the process of making a decision. They also do upgrades and service on site which is important to me. As people learn more about the dealership and the area behind Sam's continue to grow I think this will be a positive addition to the area. And this also helps the competition stay competitive and keep their service high to compete. That's good for everyone.
