This place is a joke.. They do shoddy work. The owner has the gift of gab and believes that he knows everything and customers don't. That's probably true for some, maybe, possibly, the majority, but there are those who do. They may not be "subject matter experts", but it's not rocket science. The owner, Dana, tries to paint himself t in the light and believes he's always right. He doesn't want the truth out there that may paint a bad, yet true, picture. He may have his hair share of happy customers, yet I'd be willing to bet, that summer of them have no idea what was, or was not done, they just "trusted" that the job was done, and done right. Please educate yourselves on the totality of damage to your vehicle has, what's needing find, what else may have been impacted, what's being done, as well as if it was actually done, not to mention if it was done properly, and professionally. Just remember, they're getting paid no matter what, whether it be you that pays, your insurance company, your deductible (you), and your insurance, or even the other person's insurance. So, I won't mention the insurance fraud that took place, I just ask that before you take your vehicle here, or any other place for that matter, please take the time to maybe learn something new. Your vehicle just may be YOUR LIFELINE, it's not theirs. Worry more about the mechanical, working parts that make, or help, the vehicle go down the road, not how pretty, or nice it looks. I couldn't give no stars, because overall, I definitely would have. Lastly, and this doesn't necessarily point to this business, just hopefully your decision making processes in life. They quickly did an estimate of my car as well as the damages, giving a fair price. The next week at the schedule date, as I didn't have any other available transportation, they allowed me to stay in the building until they were finished. The owner as well as the workers all have a great personality and are very knowledgeable on automobile repair. Highly recommend to anyone in the 4 state area. read more

They pissed in my oil or something. I had some freezing rain jam my window on one side and I didn't try to force it and burn up the motor but it did get off track so I gave em a call. They said it'd be just an hours labor and they'd pop it back in. So I had an appointment but they had no knowledge of it and I waited an hour and a half for them to come tell me they "think" it's the motor and it's going to triple the cost on parts they know I won't inspect inside the door panel. I said no thanks and what do I owe for your time? 20 minutes later the owner making sure to act like he's on a first name basis with everyone in the lobby tells me it's the motor and I explained I'll pay for their time but I have 2 mechanics in the family and I only took it to a shop to not pester the fam with the small stuff and if it's gonna cost much I'd get them to do it. His reply was to say with an immediately suspicious smile, that I didn't owe them anything and maybe if I have any bigger issues I'll come back. I literally just said bigger issues I'd not go to a shop for and his smile had me worrying not in retrospect but right away. They taped up my window and the next morning on my way to work my engine light was on. Took it to O'Reilly and it came up as a bad camshaft solenoid. Obviously I didn't go back. Changed the oil and the solenoid and the oil was "milky". I've waited awhile checking the dipstick and actually changed the oil again and no more water in my oil. I went in for a wheel alignment, and it was found that I needed a right wheel hub, which is a little costly. I scheduled that repair for the next day and being who I am, I was skeptical, but in reality I found that it in fact was needed, and my car was much quieter when I left. And honestly, their pricing was very fair, and their service was done in a timely manner. I had the privilege of meeting the owners Dana, Mike and Terry all of who were very nice and knowledgeable. My Daughters vehicle was involved in an accident. We had it towed to Snodgrass and it took them over a month to complete the work (understandable) but we had to call constantly as they were unwilling to provide us with updates. How hard is it to call your customers to provide updates or changes??!! Also the windshield that was not included in the original insurance claim was later added and many weeks later they still claim the windshield has not come in. Um no....All other auto glass places either have it in stock or can get it next day but Snodgrass cant get it In many weeks? The accident was September 19, 2022 and today is November 25 . Still No windshield. Would not recommend this business just based on the very poor communication alone. Take your vehicle elsewhere. Dont let the bright fancy sign out front fool you. A friend of mine had vehicle work done on two occasions. She recomended Snodgrass. I took my 2016 F150 in. Was pleased with results and price. I took my 2019 Ram 1500 in for body work. The truck looks brand new. I am very proud of their Quality and Price. The staff I met are very personable, easy to work with, down home folks. If I could give this place zero stars I would. This place is a joke. They towed my bf car per the insurance company request and was asked to look at the car. The owner Dana didn't even have the car picked up on time after sitting on a three-way call with the insurance company setting up a time that was convenient for us. He had it picked up 4 1/2 hours later than what was discussed. The adjuster came out, assess the damage to the car and Dana called Wanting to know if we were going to have them fix the car and telling us that the tow bill was one price and the shop price to have the car looked at was another price. We asked for a statement so we can go pick up the car that day. They did not have it. They did not have the statement until two days later. Because we did not have them fix the car they did a 35% up charge which was completely different than the statement that was provided to the insurance company that the insurance had paid for. I do not recommend this place whatsoever. Apparently they have that nice fancy sign in building by committing fraud. Dana is the person that we spoke with, and couldn't keep his story straight if I could upload the recorded conversations and the threats that he made to us I would. The owner is rude, disrespectful and immature. Why would anyone do business with a place that says the invoice is one thing only to find it has a 35% up charge and then to speak about it get yelled at, talked at and treated like crap by the crooked owner. He also threatened to call the cops because we drove the vehicle from there. Which is our decision since it's our car. Well now we know how he got that fancy sign. Lol. Like he told us if your not having him fix your car don't bring it there. He doesn't have time for people not who don't use him and he will ban you from doing business there. Lol jokes on you buddy. I use to think Snodgrass Collision was the best repair shop in the Joplin area. Until I took my car to be repaired in July '10. Picked my car up on 08/11/10, paid $324.64...which included my deductible of $250 and 25% for one tire and 30% for the second. When I picked up the car, the TPMS light was on. Went back inside the shop and spoke to Dana. The chase to get it fixed from there started. He couldn't remember where he'd sent my tires to be replaced or who ordered my wheels. The insurance company paid him to put two new tires, two new wheels and to fix some minor scratches on the front side panel. I accidently opened the area where my spare tire is located one day. My car comes with a full size spare tire. The tire was damaged as was the rim. Snodgrass Collision had just purchased one tire and one wheel and used my spare. Guess they thought I'd never find out. When I confronted Dana about it. He said I told him to use my spare because I didn't have the money to pay for my deductible. He just didn't realize that I was smart enough to keep my receipt. He said he was going to call my Father and have him, "straighten me out." I'm an adult. There's no need to involve my Father in an issue between Dana and myself. Also, the cost of the tire and rim far exceeded my deductible cost plus the amount I was having to pay for the tires. So if it were true that I told him only order one tire and wheel....he kept the extra money. Dana has cursed and belittled me over the phone. He just picked the wrong person to attempt to get away with insurance fraud! What irritates me the most is the fact that Dana knows my Father and my youngest brother. He's also related to my brother-in-law. He knew at the time I had my vehicle towed to him to be repaired that my Mother was terminally ill. I've learned to never do business with anyone that your family knows or is somehow related to your family. Dana's brother, Mike, is very calm and a great guy to deal with at the shop. I had recently had my 2012 Malibu repaired at snodgrass. I have been a loyal customer for 20 yrs or more and I am not happy with my car repair results. When I picked up my car after it was finished, I found my "new" car full of sanding dust, my interior outlets/plug ins had been used, my right front bumper had an unexplainable "new" scratch on it, my damaged wheel had never been replaced as promised and there was a film of overspray "all over" my NEW CAR!!! After 3 or more attempts to correct the matter, my car still was not right. Dana Snodgrass personally detailed my car and promised me a dinner for my husband and I and a full tank of gas. When Dana returned my car, i noticed that the overspray was still on my car, especialy on the front and back window and the car still had sanding dust in various areas. Dana claimed to have taken care of all my concerns. He stated that he had to scrape the windows w/a razor blade and chemicals to remove the overspray. Yeah, he did attempt to do that and in the process, he left tiny little scratches all over the windows where he sracped with the razor blade!!! Needless to say I NEVER received my full tank of gas or my dinner gift card or my car back to its original NEW condition! I ended up taking my car to a detail shop to PROPERLY redo the necessary clean up like: shampoo the interior, REMOVE the overspry and buff out my car. According to the detail shop, the overspray was everywhere!!! They managed to remove it and completely detail my car the way it should have been done. To top it all off, the detail shop found another scratch on the trunk that was so deep it would not buff out... I am very disappointed with the service I had received and I plan to never return. I'm not sure what happened to Snodgrass quality and customer service that they have been noted for but I do know that I will not recommend them to anyone!!! read more
