I needed a new wheel because of this and the actual car dealer found that every lug nut on every wheel was loose and not properly up to STANDARD. I will continue to report this business until I am reimbursed for this. I had a 1200 dollar bill at the dealership after their poor service AND could have been in a serious accident as I had to pull over on the side of the highway from my car shaking so badly I couldn't drive it. DISGUSTING. Own up to this.

Around the same time, I noticed I had missed a call from a manager. When I called back, there was a little bit of back and forth and some time on hold, but then Mr. George called me directly on my other line. We had a great conversation about everything that happened. He listened, acknowledged the mishaps, understood my frustrations, and most importantly he wanted to make it right. And he did exactly that. I went back to the store, and Mr. George personally made sure my concerns were addressed. Shout out to Mr. George for being a man of his word. Isn't there a saying that all a person really has is their word? Well, Mr. George stood on business and followed through. What really impressed me was seeing leadership in action. I even had to laugh when one of the younger employees told him, "Mr. George, you're going to have to work in the bay!" Without hesitation he replied, "Yes, if I have to, I will." In this instance, he absolutely did what was needed to take care of a customer. Hopefully, I won't need to see Discount Tire anytime soon since I now have four brand-new tires, but because of the way Mr. George handled the situation, I will definitely be back when I do. They asked if I wanted to replace one of my wipers and the price wasn't bad so I agreed. They ended up replacing the other one too free of charge! My appointment was at 11 so I was a bit worried when I saw that my car wasn't taken into the shop until 11:30, but they had the tires changed and done in 15 minutes! I asked if I could bring a cheaper used mirror I found & pay them for labor and they said no - making me think this was beyond easy repair. However, my experience completely changed afterward. Today, I needed to replace my brake pads and attempted to remove the wheels myself. I was unable to loosen the lug nuts because they had been tightened extremely hard during my previous visit. While trying to remove them, I broke one of the wheel studs due to the excessive force required. I stopped immediately and went back to Orange Tire to address the issue. I explained that I had been there a month ago and that their team had overtightened the lug nuts to the point where I couldn't remove them. Instead of taking responsibility, the staff initially tried to blame rust. I can understand one stuck lug nut -- but not three out of five on a single wheel. That's not normal and clearly indicates improper torque. The manager spent about 15-20 minutes on the phone (possibly with the owner), and eventually told me that I would need to purchase new parts myself, bring them in, and they would replace them for free. I offered a simple and reasonable solution -- just reimburse the cost so I could handle the repair myself and not waste additional time. However, the owner responded in a dismissive and unfriendly manner, refusing any refund and insisting I follow their process. This situation shows a lack of accountability and poor customer service. What started as a great experience turned into a very disappointing one. Be careful -- over-tightened lug nuts can cause serious damage and additional expenses.
