THANK YOU PETER AND WHEELWORKS TEAM. I got a gouge on my sidewall on my new 2018 Toyota Camry. I felt pretty crappy about it, but Peter and his associate made sure I was well taken care of! They went over different options with me in terms of what works best with me and my car, and went over any concerns about how to tackle this issue. Best part was, they never shame-blamed or insinuated that I was the one who caused the gouge. Even though my visit/call was last minute, they were really flexible with my drop off time. There was no wait, and the person manning the desk was very efficient and quick, making sure whoever came through their doors was taken care of and apologetic towards any small amount of waiting. They gave me an estimated wait time for 1 hr, but only was waiting for 30-40 minutes for the replacement wheel! I came in on a donut on Monday morning. Servers were down, printers were out of ink, the tire delivery truck was blocking the shop - but I was able to get in and out in an hour or so. My car was the one of the first in the shop that day. They were not able to repair the tire. Repairing a tire here is $31. New tire with all the warranty they upsell and the labor is $143 for ONE tire on a 2010 Honda Civic. They tried to sell me the 15K maintenance warranty even though I just got an oil change. They did a free inspection and determined I needed ANOTHER oil change even though I just did it last month. They also showed me my dirty air and cabin filters. They weren't that bad. I'm going to do it myself and order the filters online. They want $50 to snap in and exchange both filters and the filters are less than half the price they charge. No thanks! Do not do the 15K service anywhere - just get an oil change and change the filters yourself. This location offers free tire rotation at no charge or cost. Simple: oil change, two filters (I'm going to do it at 25K miles) and free tire rotation with no purchase (I asked on behalf of my fellow yelpers). Also, it is not clear whether the 5K rotation is required for the road hazard warranty. 5K rotation is required for the manufacturer's warranty but should not be required for the road hazard warranty since it's a separate contract with Wheelworks and not the manufacturer and you paid separately for it. Women be aware that you do not have to buy into the 15K or X mileage maintenance if you have your bases covered. Look in your owner's manual and figure it out instead of shelling out money blindly! I go to Wheel Works regularly for my auto maintenance. I suggest you look on their website and look for any coupons of the service you are interested in. I have had pleasant experience at Wheel Works. Their quotes are usually cheaper than other auto shops I have called. I do think it takes them a while to get the car out of the shop. That would be something they can improve on. If you plan on taking your car on the weekend, make sure you schedule online or through phone. I took my car here to get a strange sound looked at and they proceeded to give us this this long list of things my car needed which cost a couple thousand (inspection fee, transmission fluid, brake fluid, change brakes, etc.). After we picked the car up we still heard the sound so we just took it to the dealership a couple weeks later. Turns out none of the break fluid or transmission fluid was even changed. Drived in to have one of the tires checked as it had something stuck on it. I thought the tire was damaged as it made a strange noise. The representative who assisted us was so helpful, and kind. WORSE experience ever i went there just for a patch on my flat tire. Service advisor -7 Garcia (Chris) is nice BUT don't fall for it. Just a strategy showing you he's genuinely willing to help you out. Lets start with the pricing/quote how much will i pay? At fiirst he say's $19.99 + tax then inspection begin. And guess what ? now he's saying that it's not fixable and NEED to change the tire and it's best IF all 4 tires!!! Really for real !? My tires are new (2 years old). Finally we agree just to change 1 tire and waiting time is 2 hours. I did not leave my car cuz only problem is 1 tire. I'm waiting for there call 5 hours past none. And crystal clear we discuss i really need it on my line of job mostly drriving. He even told me i can not drive my spare tire more thann 50 miles. That's why i agree on replacing the whole tire in the first place. So i go back to the shop and ended up paying $148. What happen next is another story - mechanic told him there is a resistant on the stud so he asked me if okey to go. And there is a chance it might break & he telling me if it did happen it's not there staff fault. Doi have choice? None. So i say yes then it happened all 4 stud broke and now i got curios on thatt part. And ask him are you going to charge me for those parts? He says YES right away and i missed that part-me paying of what staff broke? So i did try too argue with it. And he start blaming my husband for making ham putting spare tire on it. And telling me it's my husband fault that the staff cannot unscew that stud. He make lots of calls to find a spare part that in the firstt place they should have it. Finally there's 1 store have it but on bulk like whole package -20 pieces. He did charge me for the whole thing even i need only 3-4? I told him justt breakdown the priice and charge me for whatever you use on my tire. But nope i ended up paying again $138. 2 hours waiting time ended up consuming my whole day. This is the first time they did a very lousy job. I dropped off my car for oil service on 07/09/18. I had an appt. but had to wait for an hour an a half for it to be done. When they were done with the car, the sticker for next service was not affixed and the maintenance notification was not reset. They checked out the air filter and said it was dirty. They did not close the lid. I noticed it when I got home. When I opened it, the filter was not dirty with debris but with dirty oil all over the filter. My guess was they were in the middle of changing my oil, and with the dirty hands , they decided to check the air filter and forgot to close it. The steering wheel was dirty with oil as well. I spoke to Peter, the service tech/gentleman, who released the vehicle. He said Andy was working on my car. EXTREMELY POOR SERVICE THIS TIME. read more

Our family has been going to this particular location since I owned my first car in 2000. My family total has 8 cars serviced in this location through this day. This updated review is for Peter. My car need a major fix and left it at the shop for a couple of days. Peter was honest that it would take some time as 1) the parts would take time and 2) there are limited number of mechanics that is able to work on the car. I am currently in the store. I am number 7 of 10 in line and using this time to leave a review. Peter is by himself providing as much customer service as he can while the phone is on constant blast. Peter remained calm, courteous, and honest (like giving realistic timelines and cost for service and parts). I don't why people are so mean to the employees working in the store when management needs to step up and hired more front desk and mechanics to provide better service to it customers. I am glad to see that some of the customers in line are long time patrons like my family and understanding of Peter's situation. For those people who are calling, just understand this is what's going on while you are waiting for someone to pick up. For those who are new to the store bear in mind again that the employees are doing their best in the limited resources provided. Kudos to Peter and the crew he manages. read more

After such a terrible experience at Big O Tire I came here with little expectations of my tire getting done today. The gentlemen at the front desk were very engaging and friendly. I had a slow leak on my front right tire, they provided me with options for 1 tire or 2 tire replacement. It was only 70 dollars more for two tires to be replaced than the 1 tire offered at Big O. I came here a while back to get my flat tire replaced. I went to get an-alignment check at another place and they informed me that my back rear tire was a different size then my other tires and that was the tire that was purchased from wheel works. Wheel works never informed me that it would be a smaller size tire! I have been driving for years with different size tires which was not good for my car, alignment or driving! I was a loyal customer to them but I will not be returning! Make sure if you buy a tire from them that the put the correct size and not one tire being smaller then the rest! read more

A year ago I paid $1300 for. New brakes and rotors on my 08 Chrysler 300C SRT8. Yesterday I had to take it in because a friend from work rode with me and told me that it felt like when I was braking the steering wheel shook and possibly had warped rotors. So I took it in to have them check it. Matthew calls me and confirms that they were in fact warped. Now I tell him are they still under warranty and he says, no they are not as I bought them a year and 3 months ago! So I told him so what I have to replace the rotors? He tells me no both rotors and brake pads because the brake pads will cause the same wear as the warped pads! So he then tells me he can offer a $100 discount and the grand total is $560! Well what do I do I need my car and brakes are important right? So this convo happened according to his computer at 1:16pm and I left the car overnight Friday at 6! So he tells me ok the car will be ready at 4-4:30pm. I then told him can you get it done any sooner. Because I have to be up in Tracy by 5-5:30? He says no problem. He'll do his best! So around 4 I start to get really anxious as I have an hour now to be in Tracy. So I waited another 20 mins and call to see what's going on. Only to have some guy Tone tell me that it won't be ready until 5:30! I said wait you've had my car since yesterday. He says well we're pretty busy and he says that's the soonest it will be ready. I then asked to speak to Matthew and got more upset because it wasn't a problem earlier according to Matthew now it's a problem. Matthew after about 5 minutes gets on the phone and says they're waiting for brake pads to be delivered the guy brought the wrong ones! I said is my car taken apart and he says yes it is on the rack and apart they just need to get pads! So I said so if I go there rn will it be completely apart? He says ya! So I was already on my way and got there as soon as we hung up. Only to find 3 techs on my ride with it up on the rack rims off and one caliper removed which probably was done just as I drove there. Because why have a car apart, racked and half apart if you don't have parts. Long story short I'm screwed out of front brakes as I had them put it back together and took my car back. And now have warped rotors still! And personally I feel that from the beginning they put the wrong brakes and rotors for my 6.1 liter Hemi to begin with hence the warped rotors! Something very strange happened when I took my car to Wheel Work's in Milpitas, I only needed the oil change but they told me I needed to change my tires. I declined the service for the tires and got the oil change only. However, when I pick up my car and drove it for two blocks the light for low tire pressure went off. I called right away and explain the situation, they suggested to bring it back the next day so I did, they said there was a nail in the tire. I ask if they can fix it but they declined the services saying the tire need to be replaced. I went to another place by Calaveras and they said they could fix the tire but when they put the car up they saw that two other tires had nails in too. What is going on? This is the new way of forcing a customer buy tires? Is it because I am a woman and they think I don't know anything about cars? PLEASE BE CAUTIOUS IN GOING TO WHEEL WORKS FOR HELP! THEY LIE AND JUST WANT YOUR MONEY! I came to Wheel works bec my tire pressure light went on and since it was raining heavily that week, I wanted to make sure that my tires were safe. I was helped my the Store Manager Marco Orozco, he was very friendly, helpful and concerned about my tires. He shared that the tires I had on my 2006 vehicle was 8 years old! I was shocked and in dismay that I had such old tires - he brought me in and I was convinced that I needed new tires. Marco was very impressive and made me feel like I can trust him, he shared "I have been doing this for years, and this is what I do to feed my family" I trusted him off the bat. Left my car over night and he ASSURED me that my car would be done by the next morning at 8:30am... Came the next morning, approx 9am - to find out that WHEEL WORKS DID NOT EVEN START ON MY CAR!!!!! I had to go to work and had several meetings that day.. I understand that they were maybe short staffed, then please inform me that we will need to keep the car until late afternoon, do not ASSURE me that it will be done at a certain time when it is not..... Besides the point of getting there and the car was not done, it is just the overall promise of customer satisfaction and they absolutely did not deliver. Also, they mentioned that my brakes needed lube, and they simply could not put that on there without fishing for more money. It has been a couple of weeks now since I have been there, and now I am having issues with my car, it isnt starting, is it coincidental that this happened? I got a new battery in Jan, car is 2006 with less than 60,000 miles and the starter is not working, plus, horn, lights, electricity is not working - feeling weary that Wheel Works may have not plugged in the right fuses and just did a horrible job in checking my vehicle. Conclusion: Wheel Works in Milpitas is untrustworthy, please do not listen to these robbers/mechanics, they just want your money, and they will tell you anything to get business. This place is awful. First, if you buy tires here, do not be too impressed with their lifetime free tire rotations. I have done this a few times and my wait has never been less than 3 hours. I even call ahead and receive a "great day at wheel works, how can I help you?... yeah, bring it right in and we'll get on that rotation right away." Yeah, right! When I finally asked about what was taking so long, the salesman (yes, these are salesmen that are the phoniest around) tells me that because my service is "free" (that is, because it is included in the price of the expensive tires I bought in the first place) I am pushed to the back of the line and my car will only be worked on when there are free mechanics doing nothing. Thanks guys, terrific service. Second, the "mechanic" tells me my tires are cupping because of shocks that are completely messed up and that my brakes are dangerously low and that I need all of these different fluids. Final bill of suggested work before my car spontaneously combusts: $1,500. So, I take my car to a real mechanic (Dannicks - best mechanic you will ever meet), who inspects everything WheelWorks says must be replaced ASAP. Sooo, it ends up that my brakes still have 80% left, my shocks are not brand new because my car is not brand new but they are completely fine, and after some some cleaning and tweaking of few things... I'm $75 out the door for checking, parts, and service. WheelWorks makes up some story about how my car is causing cupping on my tires so they don't have the eat the fact they sell garbage tires. This place is an absolute joke. It is easy to forget if you are buying tires or a used car when you step up to the counter. Don't trust these guys. Take your car to a real mechanic first if they start telling you all these horrible things that are happening to your car. read more

Jorge told me that someone must of stole it within 2 minutes from when he drove the car to the parking lot after i was done signing papers. Complete BS! Jorge said he inspected the car after it was done and the hub cab was there, he asked his mechanics and they also said it was there. My car was only parked for less than 2 minutes in the parking lot! They did a great job. I made an appointment, and they contacted me to confirm. The day of my 1pm appointment, I dropped the car off before work and told them they could keep it all day. They called me before lunch to let me know the truck was ready. At pickup, the total was as originally quoted. They didn't try to upsell me on anything I didn't need. So please with wheel works, I already went to them for oil changes and checking fluids/ tire pressure but my recent visits were a great experience. I heard my breaks having issues and mentioned it to them and they didn't take advantage of my lack of knowledge. I called up wheel works and they were able to get me in within 2 days and on a weekend! Dropped off in the morning and heard back pretty quick around 10-11 they were low staff but still took care of me and my car. Peter called and let me know my front breaks were fine but my back breaks were worse then I thought but could be fixed the same day along with my oil change and changing some belts. When I let him know I had money concerns he let me know honestly that the belts could wait. I told him at check out that I would like to try for the credit card (got denied but I don't really have credit due to my age) I got my breaks fixed and my belt fixed at the following visit 2 weeks later. I had the harrowing experience of having a blowout on the busy 680 freeway. I was on vacation 400 mi. from home to top it off. WW took me in at 5pm on a holiday weekend. This place is one of the worse businesses I've ever visited. The manager will fight with you without cause and will not listen to the customer. The small time manager will try to run you in a circle and tell you what they do, but not stand by their work and itemize their work. They constantly avoid taking ownership. All the manager has to do is say "I understand your frustration and let's fix this" That never happened. They do not take ownership of their mistakes -- be aware and AVOID this place at all cost! 1 - Manager and/or sales rep do not own up to their mistakes and are shady about writing up the sales order/work order -- READ IT ALL! These guys are the reason why there are so many problems with skeptical car owners and taking their cars to repair shops. 2 - Sales Rep attempts to try to sell you something that you do not need (Requested to look at a flat repair they did, the guy said that they do this without writing a sales order, instead my lady was roped into some courtesy check that they wrote the order up and looked at things they should not have) 3 - No itemized list of what is being performed on the car (THIS IS THE KILLER HERE -- pay attention to what you are going to have worked on and make sure that's all they do -- shady stuff happens here!) If you are inexperienced with cars or do not know much about then, or if you are weak willed then you are doomed when you walk into the door. My Lady hit something on the road and had her flat fixed at this place. Not only did they do a horrible job, when she took it to the dealer for an oil change they said that the flat was fixed inappropriately and that's why she's losing pressure every few days. This needs to get it fixed again appropriately. She takes the car down to this god forsaken place and she was told that the tire was fixed perfectly and that it holds pressure. Dealer states in the paperwork that the flat was inappropriately fixed and to bring it back to wheel works fixed it again. This was then done, but who knows what else they touched. A few months later in time (down the road) she requests for wheel works to look at the tire they fixed again since it is losing pressure and was told they were going to inspect the tire. - At this time we know the life of the tire - they attempted to sell her a set of tires (we do not take it because I know their life) they told her that they were going to inspect the tire. They did not tell her that they would do a "courtesy" inspection. this is vocal. She told me the manager that wrote her order up started to type away without even telling her what he was typing, so something shady is happening already. Trusting as she is she signed the contract, yes this was wrong for her not to look, legally they are in the right, but morally f-ed up honestly. They DO NOT itemize what they are going to perform. Her only fault was being ignorant and trusting to this company. I wouldn't have been so nice. There was no sale, she was not informed of any COURTESY inspection. Trusting as she may be if I knew that this place was going not to itemize the work order I would have NEVER brought her car here. No information or description of what was done was printed on the paper either. I found out that her glove compartment was poorly put back together, and luckily I was able to remount the glove compartment in order to fix the issue. When I called in about this I was told that the BEST person in the shop was working on her car. Man what a load of bull-sh*t. When I called in and complained about it, the manager just kept saying "I wasn't here, I was at lunch from [some odd hour to some odd hour]" the MANAGER doesn't even own up to their technicians mistakes. I don't understand why there are so little places that stand by their work... (manager's name is mark or marko or some name) A bit frustrated talking to the manager I hung up in the middle of the conversation, making sure I voiced that i'll NEVER take my car back here. Positive experiences here are lies and I would never visit this place again. Not only am I never coming back here (thank god I paid 0 dollars for them to MESS UP MY GLOVE COMPARTMENT) but i'm going to place bad advertisement everywhere about this. read more
