They are very expensive. On two occasions when I have been to this place, I ended up paying a lot of money(more than what I expected). They always suggest you additional fixes/issues and if you don't understand cars very well you could end up getting the unnecessary fixes. I have a pretty old car and I was not looking for investing a lot of money in getting some unnecessary fixes. I know I am not going there again. read more

WOW! I had flat tires on my B.O.B. jogging stroller, and I went in there on the off chance that they might fill for me. They did so with such great service! They also mentioned that they will check tire pressure and fill tires at no charge for any car, regardless of whether the tires were purchased there or not. That type of customer service is incentive enough for me to return when I need new tires for my car. read more

Jorge is fantastic...I give this review 5 stars for being Professional, Courteous, Responsive, Timely, and Skillful... I got my tires on Tully, got alignment at Capital, however, my ML350 felt "different" like it was not smooth anymore...It's a 2012 so maybe it doesn't feel new forever? I work near Milpitas so next 5k I called Jorge on Monday...He advised me to make an appointment say Wednesday which I did... He was expecting me and took my car right away, called me later to re-confirm my desired PSI so I called the dealer to be certain (fuel door data is best = 32 PSI all around)...I was called when the car was ready 45 min sooner than the committed time which really helped me to get on the road before rush hour...I got my car immediately and just driving away the car felt great (smooth)... That Weekend I drove to Tahoe...Alignment is important for safety on Mountain Roads in winter and I felt safe because my ML350 was smooth, steady, responsive and it felt "new" again for the 1st time in a long while...Inflation & Balance are also important for safety and rotation for extending Tire life...Prior vibration and slight pull were gone and the car felt like the car I'd come to know before these recent misalignment issues/concerns...It wasn't just in my head as technicians at other shops had insisted! My car rides like a dream and I'm so pleased with Jorge and his team! Thanks guys & Happy New Year!! read more

I've been coming here in the last 4 years to have maintenance done on my car. I never really have any problems with this location, I scheduled an appointment to have an oil change, air filter, cabin air filter replace on my car and was in and out about 45 minutes. I did came in one time without an appointment and it took about 1 hr just for an oil change. Maybe they were busy, overall I am still very happy with their service, the guys in the front desk is also very nice and help answer all my questions. Thanks Wheelworks read more

These guys suck. DONT GO THERE!!! It takes 3-4 hours to get a oil change, and you can get a better service going to a drive thru oil changes. Their prices are way to high, and NO CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! And the guy at the front desk with glasses, beard; he should be wearing a t-shirt that says "I REALLY SUCK" read more

Took my wife's car in for rotation and balance. Stood in the shop for 10 mintues without anyone greeting me or anything. I got so pissed I took car to america's tires and got new tires in 30minutes rewind to 3 years ago. wheel works charged my wife $500 for a set of tires plus alignment. the car was terribly misaligned that I went back to them to make sure they did it right I will never use wheel works again. it's a terrible place read more

Worst customer service, had a flat tire, arrived 25 min before 6 pm, service manager James claimed ' can't help you without appointment' . I have Wheelworks insurance for those types of situations, what's the point if they can't help me when I need not when is convenient !! Besides , on their website says open till 7 pm . CRAP forgot to tighten down a bolt after allignment, hit a pot hole in the middle of the desert on the way to vegas and broke down. This place is great. Very punctual with all of my needs and requests. All of the technicians are spot on with their knowledge along with their friendliness. Managers always are straight forward and good about keeping you posted on recommendations. read more

if you plan to fix your tire, DO NOT COME here, it takes 5H+ for just repair tire since they will put all those new tires customer ahead of you even you came in first. This is a MISTAKE that I dropped off my car at the first place and we TRUSTED the ONE HOUR wait, so as we thought WORSE case would be 2.5H MAX; however, SORRY, that's a 5H wait for just ONE tire fix, man, if you think repair is cheap, do not take customer, i can take my car somewhere with MUCH BETTER ESTIMATION of the time wait. NO way to come here again. **we did change the new tire there before, but it's fine, i guess they just want more $$$ from you! read more

Took my moms car in for an oil change and tire rotation. There was 4 people in line before me. Took 10 minutes before i was check in. The sales person peter was very friendly and even apologized for that i have to wait in line. He check me in and said that they were busy and it will more than 1 hour to get me car done. I left the car with them and decided to go get some food. To my surprise, Peter call me around 45 minutes later and said my moms car is done. Very friendly service and didn't take long to get the service done. I'll be back for my next oil change. read more

Every time I need something from this Wheel Works store, there is one person at the counter and 6-10 people waiting to get service. One must be very patient. I bought tires and Wheel Works did not balance one of the tires making the vehicle not drive-able at Freeway speeds. When I asked them to re-balance the tire, they refused to do the work unless I wanted to make an appointment 3 days out. The attitude at this store is abhorrent. If you can save a few bucks, its not worth the hassle, poor service and lack of quality work. read more

Don't bother. The last time I went here they tried to sell me all sorts of things that I didn't need or want. What they didn't know was that my husband had already spoken to the manager and explained what services we were going to need. After I explained this, the service rep changed his attitude and stopped the BS. This place preys on women. Terrible. read more

I had an appt for a basic oil change and fluids topped off. It took a hour and a half. I rec'd 4 tires and an alignment for this ampunt of time at the one in Fremont. Only good thing was I got a discount since they were so slow. Try what you can not to come here. read more

I use them for tires and alignments and generally OK if I take one of my 3 vehicles there but watch out if my wife does. They always find something that "needs urgent repair" - and usually expensive repair - but if I take the same car in 6 months later with no work done not a peep out of them. Latest one, my MB needs new tires, when checking they told my wife it needed a whole new tie rod assembly, quoted $650. My wife calls me, tell her to go to my usual CERTIFIED MB mechanic, he says "those guys don't even know what they are looking at, a tie rod is only 5 bucks and what you need are lower control arm bushings, cost (including labor) $350. read more

This is the worst place. Please don't step in here. Had multiple bad experiences. 1. Got in there for an oil change for my car and the car front dome/cover was missing when I got home. I called them up and they said they will have to order a new one. How did they miss it in the first place. That wasn't professional. They ordered one and I happen to have gone there after sometime and they said you didn't come in a long time and we just returned the item we ordered for you. The customer service is like the worst you can find. People are so rude and very very very unprofessional. 2nd time I got robbed for bringing my van there to fix a flat and I had to pay bill for changing two tires.. and it took them like for ever to get to it. It was a very important day for me and they said they can only give my van back by 7:00 PM, but guess what.. since I agreed on changing 2 ties, the work got completed by 4:15 pm? HOW? the place is there to rob people. And did I mention this is a place with very very rude and customer unfriendly people. Please be aware and keep away. thank you Yelp for giving me this opportunity to help enlighten many many people. read more

I was coming into town for a dinner event and of course something is wrong with my tire. My sidewall was compromised and was told to not drive on it and I live over an hour away and it's a Saturday evening! I called and was told to come in and within minutes a new tire was being put on my car. It was 30 minutes before closing they could have turned me away or told me to put my spare on but instead they went the extra mile and looked at all my tires and made sure I was safe! Thank you so much !!! I appreciate the great service! read more

OK- my saga of needing to get a tire to replace my flat continued this Friday afternoon (of course when I had places to go, deadlines, etc) Tracey at Wheel Works could have not been nicer- down to earth, friendly, spent the time to tell me what the differences in the kinds of tires I had options for without trying to upsell me on the most expensive ones. They do alignments too (which I really needed but had put off because I haven't known where to go) - I know they're a chain, but the Milpitas folks were really really nice on a day when I left work looking forward to my swim and instead spent three+ hours dealing with my car. They were much faster than when my friend convinced me to use her membership and go to Costco- and cheaper too! read more

The staff alone are very friendly. They have very good and helpful and fast and efficient. First time going here didn't realize there's the front and back shop. Went to the back shop and I had to drive back up to the front shop. The prices here are pretty pricey but good thing they always have coupons in the mail so I brought my car here for an oil change. Compared to other car places this one is great because it stays open 7 days of the week. The people here seem to know what they're talking about and really take care of you. read more

They don't deserve customers - the service rep failed to call and mixed up my key with another customer's and offered no apology when confronted. In another word, it could be your car being ran-sacked or even driven off from the premesis due to their own mix-up. I will skip this store. read more

The employees here wear uniforms and they greet you with a smile, everyone of the employees will, even the guy who changes the tires. I had the wheel alignment done and they accepted the $10 coupon even when I didn't physically have the coupon. They promised the car at 4pm but they ran a bit late but stayed to finish the job even after closing time. They suggested a few services for my car but never pushed any of them on me. There is a large waiting area with a flat screen TV and there are plenty of parking. I watched an employee explain to a customer the differences between the tires and even I learned something new just waiting in line. They have lots of selections on tires and have them all in stock. Would I go back? You bet! read more

These guys at Wheel Works 2 N Abel St. Milpitas are expert and timely. Fixed my tires and rotated it on warranty - no charge, and finished on time. On top of this, they did a check up and indicated my front head lights and rear lights were burnt out. I bought the light bulbs and they showed me how to change it. It made an unpleasant issue into a pleasant one. I rate them expert and nice guys on top of it all! read more

I've been using this tire center for at least 8 years since it's convenient, They used to provide decent services, however they are now more focused on selling u products and services that ur car may or may not need. One time my friend brought his car in to fix a nail leak since he bought the tires here, he was told that he tire cannot be fixed and recommended to buy a new tire. My friend knew they were trying to sell him stuff and instead took his car to another place and had it fixed in 15 mins and the patched tire lasted for as long as the others bought at the same time. Since they provide lifetime tire rotation and balance for tires purchased here, they used to take less than one hour to take care the whole thing regardless whether there are other cars waiting in line. Now it would take at least 4 hours because they have to take care of all paid customers before putting their hands on your 'free-serviced' tires. The only reason I'm choosing this center over Costco is there is usually shorter lines here, but now it seems it doesn't matter how long the line is, expect at least half day waiting for a simple tire rotation, which should take less than half hour. I'm now looking for alternative tire centers!!!! read more

I came in for a car inspection because I bought this car and knew my wheel bearing was bad and I needed alignment. I asked if an engine compression could be done too. He said it was a whole another type of inspection and would be $150. So I said it's ok not today since I can do it at home for free, and he said "maybe you need to go to a dealership for your services". I mean I only wanted to check out the car I bought as I knew it needed some suspension work and instead of having my personal mechanic check it out I wanted to save time and come here. Except it took 1.5hr for a simple inspection. The other employees were much nicer and able to answer my questions and help out and even wanted to get the dealership I work with to reach out to them for some servicing opportunities. I think if it was a bit faster especially for those with appointment it would be a better store. I often go to wheel works but this was the longest any location has taken for the amount of work I needed. read more

I've gotten 2 sets of tires here. Be aware that they get very busy so I always drop off the car, once their done they will call. Customer service used to suck big time here but since the remodel they've hired new staff who are a lot more professional. read more

Slow service and incompetent. Estimate of 1/2 hour to 1 hour to fix or replace tire. Tire was "fixed" but it took 2.5 hours to get it done (1 hour sitting before even looking at it). ask for MARK, VERY good customer service! bought me a 235/45/18 Bridgestone tires without any hassle. Price matched online / local store as well! Overall experience was outstanding. Great place for auto service. Good value. They treat customers with respect. Expect to drop off your car.

Worse experience I've had with a car shop. Brought car in for routine oil change and new tires. Once I left the shop thats when things went down hill fast. I started hearing squeeling whenever I applied the brakes. I called back and was told this was because I needed a wheel alignment. Wrong! When the mechanic checked he said I needed brake work. Of course, they dont have the part so I had to go back after work the next day. Next day, oops we ordered the wrong part. Seriously!!! So this is the 3rd time I'd been there in one week. Go back again visit #4 and they finally get the car fixed. Amazing they are still in business. read more

I am sitting here and writing this review while I'm waiting. I drive up and accidentally went straight to the shop part, when I was back there I asked the guy how long it would take for an oil change. The really nice guy said about an hour. I said okay, this is my first time here. He said, you'll need to go to the office and pointed over across the lot. I went over to the office and when I came in I saw one guy already being helped and another in the office chair. He looked to check that I was not with the previous person, when he noticed I was alone he got up, with the look of "awe man another customer". I said hi in my cheerful voice and asked how long does he think it might take. He said 2 hours. I was like whoa! 2 hours? I just asked the guy in the shop and he said an hour. He said,"we'll if you already asked someone, then why are you asking?" I said,"I asked to make sure because I have somewhere to go." He said okay then an hour. He then said, he was allowing extra time if needed. He was very snarky. I said, Are you having a good day? He said GREAT very sarcastically. I asked his name and he said George. He asked if I wanted to get the oil change and I said sure! He then said have you ever been here. I said no, I normally take my car to the dealer. He asked for my number and my name. He entered it the computer and then said, oh, here you are in our system. You have been here your on such and such street, right? I said yes, that's my address but, like I said I have not been here. It is possible my parents brought my car here. He nodded his head like I was lying and he was right. I WAS SO IRRITATED! I looked at George, and he stood there with a smirk, like he won a bet or trophy. He said, well do you want the car serviced? I saw a customer in the waiting area and I asked him. "Are you a customer? Are you happy with their work?". He said yes and yes. I needed it done so, I said yes. I then was trying to joke and say, ill be waiting at the Mexican place next door with a drink. Goerge says, "oh the head waiter Gustalez always brings his car here, do you know him?" I said, "if you mean Gustavo the head waiter, yes he knows me well." George then said, oh yea, Gustavo! Guess I got that trophy now!!! Booyaaa. My car is still being serviced so I will update later. Everyone else here seems nice and friendly. Hope George's day gets better. read more

Consumer ALERT, ALERT!!!!!! Once upon a time Wheel Works was an honest establishment but when it got sold to new owners the customer service went down hill, their staffs and technicians are sales hungry that they will tell you, you require new tires for your safety sake but in fact it is PATCHABLE. I was sold two (pictures taken of 1st shady and 2nd tires) tires w/in 6 mo and I told them to throw the second tire they claimed was not PATCHABLE in my trunk - nail in the middle of the tread area. They say patchable and change their minds not PATCHABLE. I got another tire company to look at it first and to honestly tell me is this tire in my trunk PATCHABLE or not? They confirmed, yes of course and charged me $20 to patch and put it on my car. They asked me who told me it wasn't and I told them Wheel Works did. Ladies and gentlemen, if you feel you have been taken advantage of call their complaint dept. at #408-620-3036 (a return call within 24 hrs-that didn't happen at all) and let them know. It took the Area Mgr five days to return my call. On the fifth day, I finally escalated and called corporate, no return call from them either. On The fifth day was when John, the area mgr called me. And Apologizing for what their staff did to me and he would reimburse for the two tires I purchased. Honestly, as a women I believe and dearly felt taken advantage of and how many other women have gone through what I did? Tire companies don't need to behave like that way at all? Yup, wheel works is money hungry for sales. Watch out ladies and gentlemen because you will be taken for a financial ride. I find t unprofessional of Wheels Works to ask me to email them below. The Milpitas WW staff doesn't fall to far from corporate they have my cell number, and they don't bother to call me directly? JUST TAKE YOUR CAR TO PACIFIC TIRE OUTLET AND YOU WILL GET THE BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE, PRICING AND HONESTY. read more

Such an easy Saturday afternoon getting new tires from this wheel works! Professional, courteous and efficient. Thank you!

Terrible customer service, the guys there love to just sit around and do nothing. They had me waiting there for 2 hour while they sat and bs around. At the end they told me that they couldn't work on my car. Kind of made me mad, when asked why they told me that there tech didn't come in yet or he had to go home. Could have told me that 2 hours ago. I wouldn't recommend them, go to Auto Innovation down the street. read more

I set an appointment for my car to get new tires, oil change, and overall a tune up and it went really smooth. Tony who helped me the whole way made everything easy and even told me the differences in tires to save more money and much more. It seems like this place is really popular because i had to wait about 2 hours but i didnt mind. The mechanic is one of the most professional ive seen so far and broke down exactly what my car needs, showed me where exactly the damage was and what can happen if prolong for too long. Would definitely go here again and im planning to for my suspension this month. Thanks guys you are lifesavers! read more

I had been going to the Wheel Works on S King Road, but moved, so this location was much closer. Decided to give them a try and was displeased. My boyfriend also went here once, and he had an issue with them as well. They were dishonest with him, and with me when I went there. Fortunately for him, he double-checked his warranty for his tires and he was able to catch their billing mistake. For me, I went in for one thing, and they insisted I needed a long list of expensive things to be done, and ALL 4 tires as well (even though mine were only a year old.) I went back to the Wheel Works on S King Road and they took care of me. I got what I needed to be fixed, and they didn't try to take advantage of my lack of auto mechanics knowledge. Wheel Works on Abel is clearly about getting money, and they do not care how they do it. Stay away. read more

WARNING!!!! Stay-away form this place They are nice when you purchase, but once you try to get your warranties, they will not honor it. I had a second flat in six months and brought the car in for another tire repair. They guy said that they don't fixed tires twice. I said, I don't see that restriction of only only tire repair and I would most likely need to buy a new tire. He agreed to look at the tire and I also asked him to rotate the tires. Later, He told me he can't repair the tire and I would need to buy a new tire. I asked to see the problem and noticed two small holes. One hole was next to the prior repair the other hold was a few inches away. He said that hole could not be repaired the hole next to the old repair. I know that they deliberately made that second hole next to the old repair in order to get me to buy a new tire. Because he was not happy to even repair the tire in the first place, I know he was going to try to get out of it. And he did. read more

This post is long overdue. I've been taking my car here for many years now and received decent service most of the time. Other times very subpar. It wasn't until recently when I dropped my car off the new manager Rhiannon gave me the best possible service. I was greeted immediate upon entering the building. Used to love this place for their general quality of work and professionalism. Well, not anymore! Of late their work has been sloppy - things are never done as requested, there's always some stupid excuses to justify incomplete work, and in a couple of occasions they have even caused minor damages to the vehicle. And to make things more annoying the new lady manager has a major patronizing attitude! Looks like its time to take business elsewhere unfortunately.. read more
