Had a 12:30 appointment today. Dropped off with friendly service advisor, told it would be 1.5 - 2 hours. At 2:30 I went to check on the status on my truck and seen it parked outside with the hood up. After another 10 minutes a mechanic comes out and informs me that the keys are in the ignition and the truck is locked. A tow truck had been called to unlock the truck. I informed the mechanic that my wife has a spare set at family house (we're visiting from out of town). Had key's delivered to open truck. Asked why no one asked me about a spare key before calling a tow truck. Mechanic said that the service tower explored options, but still no call ( I told the service advisor I would be in the waiting area, they also had my cell number). I did receive apologies from the service folks plus a small discount on the invoice. A phone call from someone in service could have remedied this issue much quicker and I wouldn't have spent 3.5 hours at the dealership. read more
