Not only is he efficient, but he is more than fair, well below other garages, and has only qualified mechanic(s) working on vehicles. We had the appointment written down in our calendars for many months then when the time came to drop off our vehicle they said we have no record of your appointment so then they had to rebook us in for another month and a half later. After we finally got in they told us a week to get our car fixed but then took a month to fix it. When it was finally done they randomly called us just one hour before closing on a Friday after a month of no communication and left a message on my voicemail that the car was ready (as we were leaving town to a tournament for my daughter). They reported to ICBC as completed for that Friday which then immediately cancelled out our rental car ICBC was covering and ended up costing me another 154$ for rental fees on a car that just sat in our driveway over the weekend as I took my truck to the coast. When I tried discussing with ICBC about the charges they informed me Zimmer said they called Friday "mid-day" and on Monday which they clearly did not and was a flat out lie. I have the voicemail and call history to prove it . Neither did they try my wife's phone or did they ever even attempt to give us any updates at any time during the repair process. When confronted about the bill all three of the staff gave us serious attitude, were unapologetic and were being extremely rude and the one guy up front basically told me that we should just be thankful to them that the car wasn't written off and that the bill is our problem. None of these people should work with the public. It was disgusting how all three of them conducted themselves and level of professionalism was pathetic. Nearly 10,000$ worth of repairs and wouldn't even offer to pay 154$, no sympathy, no care or consideration at all for the family getting screwed around by big company's. I will be sure to warn everyone I can to stay far away from this joke of a business. The owners have since ignored my emails and perhaps disputing my review with Google as it has been hidden and I have had to repost which is also unfair as the review is 100% legitimate and the truth. Last but not least...The work was so shotty 10,000$ to a rear bumper and hatch that no longer closes properly, pops open, needs to be forced closed and key hardly works because the mechanism is getting caught. They won't take responsibility and refuse to fix it!

We had our truck painted in April of this year by Nick Grabas who owns Anything Paint & Autobody…read moreLtd. and are not only extremely disappointed in the paint job but now have to pay another company to repair it. The paint is falling off, the truck was not wiped down before painting and there are dirt specks everywhere, there is a large run on the front fender, another on the passenger rear door, also the paint has lifted around the ariel and door handle when the tape was removed. The fender flare seams are a mess, the paint has completely fallen off. There was no detailing as promised and we cannot have the 3m plastic installed as the paint is too rough and it will not stick. Nick has completely refused any help and denies there is anything wrong even though we have shown him and have pictures to prove it.

Rich is a great guy and runs a customer responsive business. Little bit of a story here…read more While on the road from Nelson to Golden, a lumber truck flicked a stone a chipped the windshield. I wasn't in a position to deal with it in Golden but was going to pass through Kamloops on the road to Whistler. I phoned Family Glass and Rich said he could handle it if I got to him by late on Friday. I could tell that he wanted to help if at all possible. He was not planning to work on Saturday. Rogers Pass closed for avalanche control and I wasn't able to get to Kamloops on time. I alerted Rich and he said something had come up and that he could work on it early Saturday and we could carry on to Whistler before noon. He fixed the chip in about 30 minutes. He gave us some good advice about the road ahead and we talked about North American travel and off-roading for a while. A few other people came in for special service as well. He handled everything like a pro. The repair cost was very reasonable especially given that he is normally closed on the weekend.

There was rock fall in a usual place, a herd of sheep mulling about. The semi ahead of me waited patiently for them to move, then sounded off his horn and proceeded to move. I hoped I was far enough back from him, but on his departure and rock about the size of tennis ball hit the windshield, scared the bejeezus out of me. I pulled over a short way up to catch my breath and a black bear ran out of the bushes in front of the jeep, so glad it didn't stop. I will definitely recommend Family Glass to everyone.
