We called them up first thing on the Friday morning, drove straight to them and they taped up the window and cleared up the glass no problem. We didn't have time to order / get the pane installed but because it was a break in they didn't charge for their time / materials. Very kind of them and very much appreciated!!! I wasn't in a position to deal with it in Golden but was going to pass through Kamloops on the road to Whistler. I phoned Family Glass and Rich said he could handle it if I got to him by late on Friday. I could tell that he wanted to help if at all possible. He was not planning to work on Saturday. Rogers Pass closed for avalanche control and I wasn't able to get to Kamloops on time. I alerted Rich and he said something had come up and that he could work on it early Saturday and we could carry on to Whistler before noon. He fixed the chip in about 30 minutes. He gave us some good advice about the road ahead and we talked about North American travel and off-roading for a while. A few other people came in for special service as well. He handled everything like a pro. The repair cost was very reasonable especially given that he is normally closed on the weekend.

I hoped I was far enough back from him, but on his departure and rock about the size of tennis ball hit the windshield, scared the bejeezus out of me. I pulled over a short way up to catch my breath and a black bear ran out of the bushes in front of the jeep, so glad it didn't stop. I will definitely recommend Family Glass to everyone.

Shocking Rip off! My senior Father has owned Hondas for…read moredecades. Great vehicles. He cares for them so well you can practically eat off the engine! The "check engine" light went on. He was charged more than $500 for the diagnostics and was told it was the head gasket and some other nonsense. They said he would need a new motor- over $5000 for a decent used one. He was told to dump it- not worth the expense. He mentioned it to a mechanic buddy who said that the Honda head gaskets never go and that he would have a look. He diagnosed that it was actually one fuel injector out of 6. He charged $90 to fix it. My Dad went back to request a reimbursement for the overcharge $500 for this false diagnosis and they refused. Don't ever go there. He was a devoted customer before this blatant robbery and lies. Never again.
