The negligence of this shop almost caused an accident on the highway for myself and my kids…read more We noticed a weird grinding noise while driving, when turning and accelerating and decelerating. We had asked if it was covered under warranty and they had said it depended on the repair. If it wasn't covered or nothing was found we would pay for the diagnostic. We also had a service done later and asked them to check for the same thing. They assessed it and told us they gave it a thorough look through and a test drive. They said there was no sound or grinding they could hear or feel. They said they tightened a couple things. I got in the SUV and immediately could still feel/hear the issue though it seemed a tad better. My husband tried it out too and went back in the shop and said it was still there. They assured him that any sound we thought we could hear/feel was a regular noise. We went home and eventually called back. We were told vehicles make noises and to rest assured they checked anything it could be and there is no issue. They made us feel incompetent. At the service, they still said there were no issues. Again, telling us there was nothing to hear or feel. We called in once or twice more and were told said they can check again but we are on the hook for paying when there is no actual issue. Most driving has been in town. While driving on the highway, we had a dangerous wobble but there was no where to get work done. I had it happen enough times to know it wasn't the road conditions but had no safe places to stay/get reception for 100km or so. I figured my wheel alignment wasn't right and took it in to KalTire. They checked the alignment and also found we had a control arm issue. They fixed it an the issues we noticed when we took it to Honda were also foxed. They said it can be called a death wobble because it can jerk you to the side and then back again which can be incredibly dangerous at high speeds. I contacted Honda and spoke with the service manager Tyson. He basically said there is no way they could have predicted this was an issue when I brought it in. He maintains there was no way for them to know there was an issue. When I asked Tyson how they checked for the control arm he sidestepped the question, Kal Tire says their protocol allows for everything to dangle which is how they found the issue and most shops won't do this. Tyson refuses to acknowledge my concerns as real concerns and says that because it was months between my concerns and getting the vehicle actually fixed there was nothing wrong with the vehicle especially. I asked him if my concerns in the beginning could indicate a lower control arm issue or not. He eventually conceded that they can indicate a lower control arm but isn't necessarily the issue. This shop put my family at risk.

Only 6 Days after purchasing the car, it had to go into the shop. Long story short the service bill amounted to over 3000$ from MULTIPLE oil leaks and other issues that Honda MISSED in their mechanical inspection. Going forward I have received the WORST customer service I have ever experienced. The customer service I received was unhelpful, condescending, and not once did I receive an apology from Honda for this financial and personal inconvenience. When reaching out to the GM about my negative experience both with the repairs and the customer service I was faced with the same response. No apology, no remorse and unhelpful. Moral of the story- Kamloops Honda doesnt know how to work on German cars and if you ever run into issues with them you will be greeted with BAD customer service and a big bill $$$. Take your business elsewhere if you can.

Mike not only found me my beautiful summer ride but also found me exactly what I needed for winter car after my previous one was totalled. My experiences after buying a truck from Autorama Kamloops, and Dennis Grant Hewins…read more The dealership surprised me at how it seemed to be willing to "go the extra mile" to keep me happy with my purchase, a ford f150 2003 model. Six days after buying the vehicle, the "service engine light" came on. I took the truck back to Autorama, who reset the sensor. We agreed I would return the car if the light came back on. The next morning the light was back on, hence I took it back a second time. Autorama wanted to try the reset again. They did, and the following day the light was back on for the third time. Autorama then took the truck in and spent 4-5 days working on it. The truck was returned with clear signs that it had been used for private use (there was grass from a lawn in the box). When I confronted the dealership with this the person in charge blamed it on the mechanic. They had also put 130 km on it without refuelling. I took the truck home and was off on a roadtrip the next day. As I entered a city after 4 hrs on the highway I noticed the engine temperature was rising rapidly when I was idling the engine on red lights. I stopped and checked the antifreeze level. It was way down and I refilled 8 liters before heading back. The truck was taken back to Autorama. They told me it would be a matter of sixteen hours work, as the head gasket most likely was blown. This was Thursday november 13. I could pick up the truck the following Tuesday or Wednesday was the message i got. Wednesday came without a word from Autorama. I called them, and was told it would not be ready for pick up until Friday november 21. Nine days at the shop so far. Friday passed and when I contacted autorama over that weekend it was still not ready. On november 27. I was told it would be ready for pick up later that day, or the next day at the latest. I replied to Autorama that it would be nice if they could call me as soon as the truck was done, as I had plans to use it over the weekend for a long planned trip. At this point I was getting used to them not keeping their word, and was not going to let this unprofessional business wreck my weekend, so I made plans to borrow a truck from a friend. I contacted the dealer before this and asked if he could lend me a vehicle over the weekend, but he was not willing/able to meet my wishes. As I feared, but expected at this time, friday november 28. passed and no feedback was given from the dealer. On SATURDAY February 29. the dealer messages me saying the mechanic is still working on it. Finally, monday december 1. I get it back. Nineteen days after I brought it in, and twele days after I was initially told to come pick it up. I took it to a ford mechanic to check the work that had been done on the truck. His comments was that the truck was leaking antifreeze from a clamp-connection. In addition there were four bolts missing as a result of the the work on replacing the head gasket. Impressive after hanging on to the truck for nineteen days. The bolts missing were mainly on the valve cover. I'm not going to use the ford mechnics exact phrase to descride the work here, but he was far from impressed. I celebrated Christmas without wanting to deal with this, as it was becomming a huge headache and source of much frustration. Wednesday January 14. I took the truck back and pointed out the missing bolts and the clamp to the dealer and the mechanic. I took the truck back home and told them to contact me when they were ready to do the work, and I would bring the truck to the dealer and wait there while the work was being done. I could not risk having the car sitting in the shop for an extended period of time again, as I needed it for work. The truck was fine as long as I kept refilling antifreeze. Friday January 23. I tried calling Autorama, no answer. I ended up messaging the dealership writing that I had not heard back from him in 10 days, my patience is gone and I think the best solution for me is to have another mechanic fix the remaining work at Autoramas cost. The dealers reply, by message; "You do whatever you fell (feel) in (is) necessary but there is absolutely no way I will pay for any additional work." He goes on blaming the mechanic he has hired to do the repair, and complains about how much money he has already spent fixing my truck. Then he ends off with this; "I feel like you are threatening me. That's a big mistake!" The dealer is not answering my phonecalls anymore.

I am now stuck in a car that I can't trade in as they sold it to me for way too much and added on way too many "fees", it yes my fault for signing the paperwork without looking them over, rushing to speed reading through the contract and rushing the signatures and initials. But when you are told one thing and then swindled in to a different price, that should be illegal especially when the person knows nothing about cars. DON'T Trust this dealership, they are crooks and will sell you overpriced cars. My car now is worth 14,000 and the loan amount is still 34,000, this car has so much negative equity that I can't trade it in, and I didn't find out what had happened to me until I found a real car salesperson who cares about their client and said that I got scammed! I don't recommend anyone go here!!!

Let Brandon know this through 2 different texts. I was ghosted. I then went the next step and went to the website. Sent my complaint, and once again ghosted. I find it very peculiar that in the process of buying my car I was in communication with Brandon almost on a daily basis. I guess as long as there are no issues you are as Brandon has called me their favorite customer. Now that I would like things rectified I have clearly went from favorite to non existent. This is not what I would call customer service and am quite frustrated and disappointed. Repeat customers are I am sure important to the business. I guess priorities are different at this dealership
