The gutters installed did not slope to the downspout -- standing water in the gutter. I was told, this is how gutters work by the installer, which I refused to accept. To fix the problem the installer, hung from the gutter and bent it so would slope correctly. As you can imagine, looks real good. The other gutter he fixed by cutting a hole in the non-downspout end of the gutter. There is no more standing water, but now the water drips on the porch above my front door.
On top of this, I had three flat tires, the culprit in in each case was the screws the installers used to put in the flashing, which the left all over the driveway. (Yes, I picked up what I saw, which they should have done, but I guess I missed these.)
I had to call many times to get the fixes described above, which were woefully inadequate, and I refused to pay them until these fixes were completed. I truly believe these fixes would not have been made if I had not withheld payment. ,
They weren't the cheapest, but because of their longevity I figured they would be the best. I was wrong. read more
