But everything else seemed focused on quantity not quality. At almost 600 calories for a burger you could definitely find a better bang for your buck. This WAS our go-to restaurant, but now.... On August 22, 2025, I placed an online order (#203-5616) for pickup at your Pat Booker Road, Universal City location. The order was placed around 11:00 p.m., with an estimated completion of 11:20 p.m. I arrived at 11:25 p.m. and waited curbside, but by 11:50 p.m. my food was still not ready. When I went inside to ask about the delay, an employee named Sean walked past me and, instead of apologizing, told me to "fuck off" his actual words. This behavior is unacceptable and extremely disrespectful. The manager on duty, Jessa, confirmed the employee's name and offered a free meal on a future visit, but no refund or meaningful apology was provided. As a loyal customer of Whataburger for decades, I am deeply disappointed and offended by this experience. I'm usually not one to complain but this location is usually a disappointment. Workers are rude and not properly trained in fast food services. They take FOREVER to take your order in the drive thru, they take forever to tender you out and bring food to you. The food is usually a hit or miss mostly the fries. One tip for the workers if you can't take the order right away let the customers know you will be with them shortly instead of not acknowledging them at the drive thru. Very disappointed in our service this evening. My family and I went in around 6:30pm where we weren't spoken to at all when approaching the counter. Madison didn't say one word. Just starred at us as if we were inconvenience her. The only thing she asked was what dipping sauce my son wanted. Omg the onion rings were crispy and crunchy and not oily at all. I've never had onion rings like that. Awesome onion rings. The vanilla shake was my favorite! I think there's only one size so it was huge. It tasted like vanilla custard frozen yogurt. I realized I should have gotten a burger if I wanted the Whataburger experience after I finished my chicken sandwich. I tried a bit of my stepdads Double Meat Whatburger and it was delicious! The consistency is comparable to In-N-Out, Ooey-Gooey Goodness but I still prefer In-N-Out. Staff is friendly and best part is that they open 24 hours!!! They also do not skimp out on the sauces. They have plenty! 3 different types of ranch (regular, jalapeño, buttermilk), honey BBQ, honey mustard, ketchup, creamy gravy, buffalo, and I think there's like a couple more.
