I no longer live in Texas and Whataburger is one of the things I miss the most. On my recent return, we visited this location. Can I tell you they did not disappoint in the least!? First of all, I knew we were in for a treat, when the worker literally ran to open the door for us! This guy went above and beyond, every step of the way. It was like a random Wednesday evening and they weren't very busy but he made us feel special- even at a fast food joint. One nice thing about Whataburger is they bring your food to you at your table and usually they have a little tray of condiments. This one was no exception. Of course we had to get plenty of spicy ketchup, and the superstar employee even gave some suggestions of how he likes to eat it. I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich combo and the jalapeño whataburger combo and then went back up afterwards for a knife since we were splitting stuff. Unfortunately, they were out of knives, but he offered to take the sandwiches and have the kitchen cut them in half for me! Really nice! The food is always banging at Whataburger so of course I was happy. And while we were there they were celebrating 75 years so I got to buy a special plastic cup to keep and bring home!!! The absolutely worst run Whataburger in Smith County. How can this one be so bad and others in the area be so good.

I am very disappointed in the ownership of this establishment how could you understaff this location in a prime southern location on a Saturday night after the bars close?!? That is prime time! The food was delicious however the upper managements ability to serve the public was lacking! Dakota and Isiah are doing amazing job at trying to keep up with the orders in a timely manner. DO NOT come to this location. Me and my husband ordered food last night, both containing chicken. I got a salad with chicken on top, he got a chicken sandwich with fries. We have HORRID food poisoning. Unimaginable stomach pain and non stop throwing up. Just groaning in pain. We barely ate anything yesterday before this, and we ate snacks from home. All week we've been in Flint, TX and my son has begged me to come here. We were on our way back to the hotel after zip lining and decided to stop by. This location is connected to a gas station. Right when we walked in there was a strange stench... perfectly described like a burnt butthole. My son said it was good. Moved back to Texas and have been craving Whataburger. Finally talked wife in to going. Went in and I knew it wasn't going to go well. There were at least 5 employees not doing that much even though the drive through was backed up. Ordered burgers, fries and onion rings. My wife specifically ordered a burger without condiments and the order taker confirmed no condiments, dry. About 20 minutes later we finally got our food. Got home and of course the burger for my wife had condiments on it. My burger was not what I ordered either. Also the fries were soggy. I thought maybe because they had been sitting but took a bite and it was because they were not fully cooked. I have had over cooked fries before but I have never had under cooked from anywhere before. We checked the receipt and it was marked as we had ordered. My friend and I went to Whataburger this morning and both ordered the #10, a chicken sandwich meal. It was great till I took a bite from the middle of the chicken, which was pink mush, completely raw chicken! My friend's was as well. I took pictures and sent a complaint to their website. I typically am not one to complain, but completely raw chicken is a good way to kill your customers, or give them a good dose of food poisoning. read more

This was my first time at this location. The jalapeno burger was delicious and my husband and I thought the service and great and the food came out quickly! However, the floor was filthy. I mean like hadn't been swept in awhile. Then when my husband went to the men's restroom, it was so disgusting we had to go somewhere else. If they had been super busy...it might be a bit understandable but there were only two other customers and no one in the drive through. Plus someone who might have been the manager was sitting in a booth with another worker playing on her phone and listening to someone scream over and over making it difficult to hold a conversation. I kept thinking, "why don't you grab a broom?" All I can say is I sure hope the kitchen is cleaner than the rest of the place! read more

So not only did these guys mess up my order twice, but got the lady waiting for her food next to me order wrong, and I came in with respect and as I'm waiting for my food these morons have the audacity to make snide remarks like " he came back for one extra chicken strip!?" We ordered 12 cheeseburgers and 12 fries through the drive-thru to feed a wedding preparation crew and expected a wait. We were asked to pull forward, but the order was brought out promptly and each bag contained one burger, one order of fries, and two spicy ketchup containers, which made it extremely easy to hand the food out. The gentleman who brought the order to the car thanked us for choosing Whataburger and wished us a good day with a smile. I came back from Dallas on Sunday and I was super hungry. I was going to go get something to eat at the Berkshire Fresh but I was famished so I said 'what the heck!' and went into whataburger. I ordered the bacon cheeseburger from the drive through and it was delicious. It really hit the spot. Four hours later I was in TMF emergency room. I didn't know what was going on but I couldn't stop vomitting. The doctor said it was botulism and it was probably something I ate. Now I love whataburger. Don't want anything thinking I don't. They have the best fries too. I have eaten there for decades. But from now on I think I'll eat at the one off of I20 and stay far away from this one. I don't even care how close it is to my house. Very disappointed in both the service and the food!! I sat at the drive thru window for 15 minutes waiting for a salad - no one ever said "sorry for the wait"!! Once I got my salad and left I discovered that the packet of utensils was missing the fork (I was not planning to go home to eat). I just got my food from this Whataburger. I got the breakfast platter and added one pancake. The breakfast platter comes with a biscuit, bacon, and scrambled eggs. So I'd think obviously they should give you some kind of jelly for your biscuit so you don't have to eat it dry. (Which I asked for at the speaker). I for one don't like eating my biscuit dry. But no. I get butter.... for my extra pancake and syrup.... for my EXTRA pancake. Not jelly for my biscuit that already comes with the meal. So now I get to eat my biscuit without jelly because I have none at the house. But I do have butter and syrup for the pancake at my house! read more
