I'll give two reviews for Jucy's:…read more The short one: Jucy's has the best burgers in Tyler, easily. No competition. The long one: Jucy's might be home of the best 3 course meal in Tyler. Jucy's Hamburgers got their start in Longview and eventually came to Tyler. The 5th Street location is the OG of Tyler and has been slinging burgers for as long as I can remember. I have quite a few memories of their location on Old Jacksonville, but upon revisiting Tyler, I had to stop at the 5th Street location. Upon walking in, it has been remodeled quite a bit making it a little more modern and similar in style to the other locations in Tyler. You order at the counter where you can get your burgers, sides, and more before getting a buzzer for when your food is ready. As they cook your burger (or whatever you ordered), you are free to get your free cup of their incredible beans. I took a picture of my girlfriend with her beans to send to my parents, that's how culturally important it is to us. That's course one. 10 minutes later, your buzzer rings and you're given a tray with a glorious burger and whatever delectable sides you decided to grab. Their onion rings are always a must. This time around, at the suggestion of my girlfriend, I also got an order of their Fried Green Tomatoes. Something I have never ordered before, but really enjoyed. It's greasy, it's deep fried, and it's incredible. The burger is as good as I remember. That's course two. As you sit there, trying to decide if housing that burger and cruising through all those onion rings was a good idea, you decide to get another cup of beans for dessert. The bacon inside them is subtle but always appreciated. They have a little heat and a little sweetness. They're a true delight and one of the best individual items you can get at any establishment in East Texas. That's course three. The 5th Street location is still as good as ever. There is just a consistent quality about their food that other places in Tyler lack. Jucy's has no i in its name because i don't deserve to be spoken in the same breath as an establishment as fine as Jucy's. RIYL: Beans. Beans. Beans. Beans. Beans. Beans.

Seriously, a place like this charging the same as a full service restaurants has got to stop. I got their new mushroom swiss burger and highly dissatisfied. I couldn't taste muchroom....like at all. If I hadn't been the one ordering it, I would never have guessed mushrooms were on there. I literally opened the burger to see if they forgot to add them. There were muchrooms, sort of..... The mushrooms were like slivers. I ate one by itself and, knowing it was a mushroom, STILL could not taste mushroom. The worst part of the whole thing is that it appears that the burger was put in the microwave to melt the cheese. First, the temperature of the burger should be enough heat to do the job. The bread had that spongy, wierdly most feel of bread that has been microwaved and the patty was grossly overcooked and had the flavor of cardboard and whatever ridiculous seasoning the put on their burgers. This took a very "Mid" burger into "I could do better home" status. Truly, I will never buy their overpriced food again. On the positive, the employees were very friendly and the store was clean. Even though I didn't try them, the pot of beans out by the drinks is a nice touch. Final verdict: If you love burgers that are mid, at best, and also hate money, this is the place for you.....

I ordered two double burgers 'beast style' and two fries same. There was no way to chose no mustard for my mom through the ubereats app. The buns in the burgers were small and weirdly dry & tasteless. The Patty's were horrible and tasteless. I've had Smash Burger before so I get the concept of 'smashing' the Patty's. But for the love of God they should also be juicy and flavorful. Saying it was horrible feels like an understatement. The 'Beast Style' fry's were undercooked, soggy, and smothered in way too much mustard. I can't believe the money they charge for such crap food. It's worse than what you might find at a sporting event. Horrible.

We were seated upstairs and it was cold because the AC blows directly onto the tables. The complimentary chips and salsa were very good. Salsa has some kick and the chips were fresh and not greasy. The wife had chicken and waffles and really liked it. I had the chicken fried breast and it came out hot. The crust was crispy. The chicken was tender and moist. The gravy needs some salt and pepper because it was pretty bland. The mashed potatoes and collards were excellent. The kid had quesadilla and liked it. Our server Eli, who worked very hard going up and down the stairs for all the tables upstairs, was professional and efficient. I bet she is tired at the end of a shift after going up and down stairs for hours at end. Overall, we liked this place very much and I think we will return the next time we are in the area.

We were there at 11:30am on a Saturday, and the front of house was a mess. Not enough wait staff. Dirty tables waiting to be bussed. Long wait just to get a refill of coffee. Waitperson got my wife's order wrong. Had to find someone to pay when we were ready to leave - the bartender ran my card because our waitperson was AWOL. Super cool looking place, and the kitchen seemed on point. Just need better organization up front.
