We decided to try the new Whataburger and we sat in line at the drive-through for over 20 minutes and watched five employees eat their dinner on break. Horrible management read more

Night service in the drive thru is extra slow. Management needs to address this issue or the new franchise won't survive. I gave up on trying to place an order after waiting 35 minutes the line only moved 3 cars. I went to McDonald's for faster service. read more

I waited almost 30 minutes and never got my order. They finally gave me my money back but that was all. No explanation or apology. People all over the place waiting for food. Don't go. read more

Hamburger was cold. Fries were very hard to pick up as they are like toothpicks BUT the ketchup was divine!

if you are going to just throw my fries in the bag, could you try and do it side ways or not give me a f**king fry holder? Thanks :)))))) read more

Worst wait ever. Ive been waiting in this line for over an hour. There's no way to get out of line. They've got me captured in here and all I can do is wait. I'm still waiting. Worst decision ever to get in this line. OVER AN HOUR!!!!! Wish I could give them a negative star. NO burger is worth this. read more

I ordered told the cashier what I wanted multiple times and it was right on the screen I made sure. When I got my food it was wrong. It didn't have cheese which is an extra charge. It had ketchup after I asked for none and it didn't have Mayo when I asked for it. Never had this issue before but if people were paying attention then this wouldn't have been an issue. read more

Worst experience in food service ever. 45 minutes burger made wrong three times. Simple order lettuce ketchup tomato only. waited 30 minute in drive through after burger wrong twice went inside and manager had it remade third time. I walk out to my car it's wrong, walked back in gave them the food and said never again read more

The food was classic Whataburger, warm, flavorful and tasty. Friendly staff made up for the time it took for this new location to get you through the line. It was a good experience which is rare in todays world. read more

These lazy people don't want to wait on you. They don't say hello or act like you are a paying customer. They don't want you to dine in and lie and say you can't then the overwhelmed manager says yes you can. We just left, not any kindness to people walking in to spend MONEY! I eat at the Leeds and Pelham branches in Alabama and they are great! Montgomery has a bunch of lazy people who don't want to be there! read more

Do not go here!!! Very bad and slow service! Didn't have one napkin in the restaurant. Nobody seemed to care. Only Whataburger around so people will continue to stop. But they need get the message! read more

I placed an online order for pickup that was supposed to be ready between 10:56-10:59. We arrived at 10:55 and had to wait 30 minutes to get our food. When we got it, it was very cold and tasted like it sat for the entire time. The lady also didn't speak when she handed us our food. read more

Line WASN'T as long as i expected ....however the food was cold (minus the fries)and the service was mediocre at best. This store is new here, not sure why it has so many issues. read more

Hands down the best Whataburger I've ever had. To start off the line is a little stressful but you can't do anything when there's a lot of people in line. Which is probably why you guys have so many bad reviews but don't listen to them because they're all Karen's who are incompetent and can't manage their own time so they take it out in the reviews. If you have a problem hit me up. But second off the workers are really cool and engage with the customers. The nice lady that was serving us talked to us about Pokémon Go and that really made my crew's night. We got our food with barely any problems except for the fries. However, it wasn't a problem as I walked to the drive through window and asked about my fries. They got it out to me in less than 30 seconds and were very happy and amused to help me out. Honestly, you guys have very high standards and for what? You're at a fast food burger restaurant. Mistakes will happen but it's all about how you can manage your own stress. Please don't take it out on the restaurant. Just stop being a Karen. Anyways, loved growing up with this restaurant and I will hope to keep going to this franchise most likely till I die. Keep it up guys good work! Don't let these bad reviews bring you down! read more

Whataburger - My fries and their amazing ketchup - Fast Food Near Me - Montgomery, Alabama

I was hesitant when I saw all the negative reviews, but tried it anyways! Glad I did because everything was great. Whataburger meals, apple pie, and shakes were delicious and not messy or cold at all. It all tasted fresh! The staff was attentive and kind, plus the facility itself was clean and stylish. Will be going back for more! read more

This place is a joke! Waited 1 hour to get to order. outside lane in front of me completely empty inside lane steadily taking orders. Sat at menu board 15 minutes while asking for someone while other side is moving taking orders. Finally drove up and told them what had happened and said that headset died. Ok take my order now said pull up! I did waited another 10 minutes and then drove off. Done with this joke! Also what's up with the security guy carrying a gun in park lot. I don't have a problem with that but just curious. The whataburger in Clanton has one line and a huge dining area and moves faster. Hour away could drove there and back before I could have gotten my order ! read more

I've heard good and bad things about this place. After being open for over 9 months now I gave it a try for the first time. I went at 12:30 at night and luckily there were about 10 cars in drive thru. Waited about 10 mins and drove off. The line wasn't moving fast enough and the drive thru is design where you can't get out once you get in. I was afraid of being stuck for an hour for a burger and I'm glad I did. Any big fan of this joint, is this worth of an hour wait? read more

Dirty tables, dirty bathrooms and most IMPORTANTLY terrible customer service. I was met with an attitude when I asked for condiments and felt rushed to eat my meal. 10/10 don't recommend. Goofy ass employees..... read more

Y'all why 5 people on break after 11 pm and the line wrapped around with a car at the window for 3-5 minutes. Made me so mad that I downloaded Yelp. It's so slow and I'm starving like damn. Literally waited on one burger over 40 minutes. And how is your shake machine broken already???? Like McDonald's is tht u??? read more

This restaurant was terrible. We waited 20 minutes for our food people after us got our food. There was a long line and nobody moved with urgency. I do not recommend. The people in the kitchen were standing around not cooking. The only person at the register though everything was funny when we kept asking where our food was. THE WORST the people looked dirty that were cooking read more

The way the drive through is set up is straight TRASH and makes you wait in the stupid long line to exit the parking lot even if you eat inside or do curbside. The employees are rude and do not even attempt to help you exit swiftly which would make their drive thru more efficient. Not impressed. read more

Trust the other reviews this place is horrible. I waited over 30 min for 2 whataburger jrs. They weren't correct and the burgers were dry. The building looks nice and new but the service and wait times leave much to be desired. read more

On a road trip from North Carolina to the gulf coast of Alabama and back, we decided to stop at this Whataburger. This was the very first time any of us had ever been to a Whataburger, and we had always heard of the restaurant, so we gave it a try. The service was great, the dining room and bathrooms were clean, especially compared to other fast food restaurants, and the burgers were delicious. We will definitely stop in next time we are through the area. read more

We stopped in during a training session and the lobby was full of employees. We were worried we were interrupting a team meeting/huddle and turned to leave to go through drive thru. A manager called out to us and let us know they were training employees, and we could order inside. The service was polite and attentive. The gentlemen who brought us our food reminded me to grab napkins. Thank you for a wonderful meal and service at this particular location! We love you whataburger read more

I can't imagine how badly mismanaged a place could be to consistently take 30-45 min. I keep giving them chances thinking it's just a bad night for them each time but alas, my 5th visit now is equally as bad an experience. All my pregnant self needed was a burger and shake. What I got instead was a complete emotional meltdown (thanks hormones) since I couldn't even leave the line. Got my burger and it wasn't even what I ordered. I just asked for a refund and came to Chick-fil-A. So stinking disappointed the burgers and shakes are actually SO good. read more

Stopped by this morning after waiting 5 years since the last 2 shut down in the area. Biscuit machine is broken, so no biscuits and somehow no grits. Bewildered look when I suggested placing someone at the drivethru telling people of the issue so they could go elsewhere. Gump food mnmgt/service takes another casualty 3rd day in. read more

Horrible! The order was entirely wrong and waited over 30 min for incorrect good. Will never go to a what a waste burger

Decided to try them for breakfast this morning, went thru drive thru at 6:25 am at 6970 Eastchase Loop Montgomery, AL and wanted to order 2 sausage, egg, and cheese biscuits with their jalapeno cheddar biscuits and hash brown sticks. No one was in the restaurant and no one was in line at the drive thru. Waited 2 minutes for someone to ask for my order, had to repeat the order to them 3 times, and then was told it would be 6 minutes since the biscuits were baking, asked if I could change to regular biscuit and was told ok. Then they came back and said they only had 1 regular biscuit and it would be 6 minutes for that one also. Didn't need the hassle of employees that didn't seem to care or have things ready for customers so I left and went somewhere else. This is a restaurant that is open 24 hours a day, why would they not be ready for customers? read more

Waited in the drive through for 30 minutes and never moved. Decided to go inside and waited for an additional 15 minutes just to order. While everyone was waiting, there was a large group of workers just sitting around talking and doing nothing. Then the workers seemed beyond annoyed to just be there. I am beyond annoyed. read more

The burgers I had there was delicious. Drive-through is slower than Christmas in January. I spent at least an hour both times I came. The security is also annoying, making cars get literally inches between each other bumpers. If they could speed up the time from an hour and a half to 20 mins and get rid of traffic guiding security I might change my rating. read more

You may think you're hungry for a burger, but I guarantee you aren't hungry for this Whataburger. Now, I should say that I'm not the biggest fan of Whataburger but it's a good roadtrip meal. The service took forever today and my burger was undercooked. Bad food and mediocre service. read more
