so my husband and I placed and online order for curbside pickup at Whataburger Winchester Road. we placed the order at 9:53pm. it's a 5 minutes drive from home and we stoped to get gas along the way. so lets assume it took us about 10-15 mins to get there. We pulled up at the curbside selected the number so they could know exactly where we were. We sat there patiently for about 15 minute, nobody came with our food. So, I went inside, I was at the front of the line, 2-3 people behind us waiting and nobody at the counter. I have been waving to a guy in the kitchen in an orange top, he looked at me once and put his hand up, I assumed somebody will be with me shortl. people walking up and down until the people behind me got upset and left. one guy commented poor customer service. listen I waiting patiently, whe someone finally came to me I asked her if anyone was working at the counter because there was even and line and they left. she was just starting then she said " how can I help you?" didnt even acknowledge my complain. Anyways I realized someone was going through the door with my order so I explained to her I was waiting at the curbside for more than 15 mins to collect my food, she asked in the kitchen and she said it just went out. I was shock when I went back to the car and looked at the time it was 10:59pm. Its like they didn't care because there was only 1 car in the drive thru and nobody inside so what was the 1 hour wait time for. listen I love Whataburger but this customer service thing needs to be fix. if they are over worked, fix it, short pay, fix it, short staff, fix it. one lady was outside at her car very upset, obviously the same waiting issue. read more

Ended up driving away AFTER paying. They were taking much too long for a burger and 2 orders of chicken strips. No add-ons, no drinks, nothing special. Ordered immediately at the entrance of the drive though and drove in. The line was not that long, maybe 7-8 cars in front of me, but had to wait in line 15 minutes before they took payment. There was a single person walking back and forth between the car one at a time to pick up the credit card, and walk back inside to run it. That same person was bringing orders out to cars in line. The food did not come out in the order that they were placed, nor in the order that the cars were lined up in. I don't even blame that employee b/c it was hot out, and she had no help. I waited until I was the first car in line and sat another 10 minutes while 6 cars behind me got their food before me and took off. As I drove off, I called and requested a refund. The lady on the phone was actually quite apologetic, asked for my order # and said that she was refunding me. I DID NOT, however, get a refund, and still deciding whether it's worth my time to go back and ask for it. Meanwhile, the Chikafilet drive through next door is flying with 10x the number of cars. The line was so long it was in the street! This was the only reason I went to Whataburger in the first place. Next time I'll wait in the street for Chikafilet. This was my first attempt at going to a Whataburger, so I have no idea what I'm missing. But seems like this place won't be open for long. read more

Enjoy waiting 30+ minutes for subpar fast food? Look no further than wolfchase whataburger! Being new to town is not an excuse for a ridiculous wait in your drive thru almost a year after opening. Decided to try it out since I thought the newness had worn of a little and I was in the area around 2pm. First mistake was getting in line for the drive through- once you get in line, there is no way out! Double lines so close to each other that you are blocked in- I think this is a safety issue and after over 30minutes in line I was ready to leave. After getting to the menu to order in about 15 minutes and being told it was card only- no cash, I reluctantly placed my order. There was no way out so I stayed and there was one young lady handing everyone in line- she was taking cards- going inside- bringing receipts and then bring food out. She was working hard and handling both lines! When I received my food and drink 30 minutes after ordering it was correct and hot, but never again! It was an ok burger and fries and the young lady was nice, but it's not worth my time for a middle of the road burger. Being right beside Chick-Fil-A makes them look even worse read more

First off, I am a HUGE WB fan.. love it. Always look for one when I travel. However, this new WB in East Memphis sets the bar pretty low. Walked in at 9:00 am for a breakfast. After listening to the 4 employees talk non-stop about their hair, nails, boyfriends, and how much they hated having to work, one finally came over to me and said that they weren't doing counter service because they were understaffed. I could go through the drive-thru if I wanted anything. Now, the time it took her to tell me that.. she could have taken my order. I could have used the drive-theu then went inside to eat, but, hey, there's a Chik-fil-A next door!!! Plus, the isle side of the WB was pretty nasty. Most Whataburgers are fast and efficient. This one was not, but it was getting there. The overall employee service was good, but they got our order mixed up and we had to wait 15 more minutes (on top of 30 for the initial food to come out). The drive-thru was okay, but not the best. It's an okay Whataburger and hopefully, it improves. read more

I've always thought that whataburger service and food was good, at all other locations. This is the third time here, and while the food is good, the service is awful and takes forever to get the food. The employees look like representations of sadness, despair, and if Eeyore from Winnie-the-Pooh was a person. 45 minutes later and still no food. However, the parking lot is well lit and the interior is clean. Don't bother with ordering ahead on the app, it won't be ready when you get there, or ever perhaps. read more

The wait time for my order was 1 hour and 3 minutes. It was 2:17 on a week day when I arrived and 3:20 when I received my order. It was just me and I ordered a combo. There were 2 lines but not that long. I loved What A Burger as a child and teenager and was excited for them to return to Memphis. I waited over a month to visit because I figured a newly opened store would be busy. I was glad to see the 2 lines were not that long. But disappointed the wait was over an hour and even at 3 items my order was wrong. I won't be back. I was prepared to eat at What A Burger at least twice a week but after that experience I will never be back. You guys will be closing up in just a few years. Good except the unsweet tea tasted bad. I was warned by another customer it was weird and he was right. Fries and onion rings in combo weren't very full at all. Service was ok. They got the order right. In n out and Shake Shack are better. But in Memphis this isn't bad for fast food. Onion rings were great. read more

I've been working at whataburger for a while now. I haven't had an issue with my paycheck since I started but until recently. The management staff, without prior notice, changed my pay method to these prepaid cards but the card system did not work properly. My payment for the week of 7/07/2023 was not received. Since that day, managers have been giving me the runaround with my check payment that week. Examples, I supposedly had 2 checks in the office and didn't, they were mailing me a check home and didn't, to they saying "they don't know what they can do." I went on Sunday evening and waited in the drive through for 55 minutes before I got my order, and it was wrong. And the only reason I waited that long is because I was held hostage. When I went to get the sandwich that was missing, I then had to prove that the sandwich was missing by bringing the whole bag in. Needless to say all the food got cold and soggy. Waited over an hour for 4 Dr. Pepper milkshakes. We used the drive thru and got stuck. They had 2 workers taking orders at cars (like CFA does) so we had high hopes it would be a speedy process. Wrong. I have no idea what the issue was...never got any explanation or apology from workers. 10/10 don't recommend this place..or at least don't use the drive thru because you are trapped once in line.
