Before I even ate the food, I wrote this review. First impressions are everything and this visit made me realize that some things just don't ever change--especially at this location of Whataburger. If you ever have to stop here, do yourself a favor and go in and order so you won't feel pressured to not look in your bag and order throughly compared to the drive through. That is what happenned to me. I weighed the contents of the bag just knowing my apple pie was included in the bag, but when I decided to stop just outside the parking lot to check--no apple pie. No freakin way! And this was the day I decided to not wear a bra under my clothes...ugh! I was NOT about to go back in drive through for it, so I just pulled my sweater in real tight and ran in with the receipt (that I had to ask for) and requested a crew member give me my missing product from my order. She happily obliged. While she was at it, I asked for some more spicy ketchup since the lazy drive thru crew member only gave me 1 of 2 cups of it and stuffed it in my bag AFTER I specifically asked for spicy ketchup. He probably knew it was a waste because when I got home, I got the most horrific order of fries. You can see the pics yourself. The fries are clearly old and dry. Nothing in the world should EVER be described as old and dry. I mean NOTHING! Fries were so dry, it looked like someone's crusty toe nail curled up and is trying to run away from the potato! Didn't follow my own rule 1 of fast food--order no salt on your fries to get fresh fries, but STILL anyone with a brain and heart would not serve those fries to someone--unless they have no heart or brain...or frankly do not care, so I care NOT to be a consumer at this particular Whataburger ever again. Add on top of injury that the meat patty had no flavor whatsoever makes this future review into a complaint to corporate very soon. Rule 2 of fast food--if you can't make fries, th rest of the food won't be a blast. This place--pass!

I've been to several locations and they never miss a beat! The food is always great and the sauces turn it up a bit.

You know those commercials that advertise Whataburger? Nice yummy patties on the grill. Grilled onions. Sealed with a sticker on your burger wrapper. Yumm!! It just gets your mouth watery. Late evening drive to deliver a pot roast to a friend who just had surgery. Traffic was horrible. Have to get these kiddos a quick bite since dinner at home won't be an option. Chose to go in for a burger so we wouldn't take as long as normal at a regular restaurant. The young boy who took our order was kind enough. He is the one star! He helped us with our super particular order: two kids meals and two adult meals. The lady who brought us our food had a mean face and didn't say anything when giving us our food. She held the tray out and when I asked for spicy ketchup she took a breath and asked how many I wanted. I then realized we were missing the two chicken strips I ordered. She pointed to a box and got upset when I advised her that it was it was not it. She took my receipt without a word and got the ketchup and chicken strips and put them on the table without a word. Food was decent enough for fast food. BUT the gravy was water!!! So gross! Never had that experience before. What made it even worse? The manager was talking to he employees about her business in the restroom! We don't want to hear you have to take a crap and then you walk back in the kitchen - it's private for a reason. For sure won't choose this fast food joint again!!!!

I keep giving this place chance after chance. This was once one of the best Whataburger on the north side. The quality of the food is horrible, this is one of numerous times my family and I had to come home and warm our patties. It's ridiculous. The onion rings were cold. They mess up my order so much until I've gotten use to it. This is the last straw, I will bypass their establishment and go to the next. I don't want to be contacted , it's nothing they can say. They need to do better , it was more than 8 people in the back, nearly running over each other and they still couldn't get it right. Whoever the manager and the dm are they need to put more effort in training their team. Much success and I sincerely hope you guys get better.

Walked into the restaurant, and an upset customer was getting a refund. I should've walked out when I saw that. I ordered my food, and when I was ready to eat... no biscuit. Lol

Honey butter chicken biscuit is a must! Along with double cheeseburger. We will have to make this last until our next trip from california.

I had opted for a beef burger with a side of chili cheese tater tots to share. The burger is quite large and filled generously with whatever add-ins you check off so it was very filling for me. I went with two 2oz patties, but considering the size, I'd opt for a single 2 oz patty if I go back. For my burger I also added scallion aioli which didn't have a strong green onion flavor but was still nice and added creaminess to the burger overall. The tater tots were super crispy, and the chili cheese topping was nice. I had gone shortly after they opened and it wasn't super busy but it started to quickly fill up around 11:30-12. The basic burger is $12, and anything you want to add or replace is extra. Now that's including the basic sauce, which I thought would be an additional homemade sauce if I needed. Again, I am learning. I ordered grilled chicken, but at the counter, a very nice person, Eric, told me they were out of grilled chicken and had fried chicken available. I guess so, since I spend some time. I don't want to wait any longer. I also ordered homemade lemonade, which came with lots of ice. I requested that some ice be removed. I also added chard jalapenos, which were tasteless and slightly burned, so they lost their flavor. The food pick-up area was separate, and the guy who gave you a food tray could have been friendlier and said thank you. Oh well, my burger was a piece of chicken with lettuce and onion. It was ok but very dry inside. So make sure you order sauce or anything for your burger, and pay for it. When I got there, the dining hall was empty. I like this place, but plz if you're going there for the first time, read the menu carefully and place your order. Service could be friendlier, and the dining hall was clean.

A standard smashed Double cheeseburger and generous extra crispy impressively seasoned waffle fries as you want it cost $16 which is fair since adding the fries vs standalone burger is only $1 price differential. Clutch City Grill sits next to Burger Chan (the most recent title holder of best burger for my son) but this Sunday, they were not open so we tried the one we didn't try last time--CCG. And let me just say that this place tucked away inside a collective indoor food concession aka The Conservatory Galleria, has every right to boldly don the clutch city burger title. Inside this perfectly grilled almost Hawaiian role type hint of sweet homemade bun is a masterclass of burger perfection, made right in front of you and to your liking based on your selections from the order tap screens. While, waiting, I looked at everything I didn't order as it was being served and I'm almost certain that anything you order at CCG is delicious. Presentation is superb because others were sitting with large selections in front of them that caused me a bit of buyers remorse--I couldn't decide. The vibe is chill enough to talk to the grill master while my son was figuring out his massive burger order--he randomly had a hash brown added to a patty melt. And ordered something to take home or in case one order wasn't enough for the teen appetite. But the food is massive. I cannot stress that enough. Portions of everything there are beyond generous from what we saw and this is the kind of place where there's delivery guys picking up, people working on their laptops and the average joe grabbing takeout after work as well as families having dinner but not crowded. We sat and reflected on a great shopping day in a chill environment and reminisced on the old days of Galleria area last minute back to school night before/we should do this more type of memories in the making. The take something to go plus my own leftover (cutting the burger in half is an open from the order touch screen) and it passed the ultimate test of being really good cold the next day. This place begs the question--where is everybody? I can't be the only one who knows about it. But also was inviting enough to silently confirm that I think we've found our place. One that even has a cool bathroom with a mirror that says "you look amazing." Exactly how you're going to feel about the food that looks even better than it does in its promo photos
