I had visited this place when it first opened and I could tell that they were on their learning curve, so I decided to hold off revisiting. Today I learned that there is a new ownership, going on 3 months. And the new manager owner brings with him four years experience, managing coffee shops in Fredericksburg plus other coffee related projects. They are now using the most excellent. On my last visit, I parked in one of the 5-minute pickup spaces because I was just grabbing my order. After I picked it up, I decided to sit inside the store and eat my oatmeal before leaving. I was only going to be there for another two or three minutes, so my total time would have been less than five minutes. Even though two regular parking spaces were available at the time, an employee came up to me and asked me to move my car immediately. I understand that parking rules exist, but customer service should also allow for a little common sense and flexibility. I wasn't taking up the space for long, and the availability of those two regular spaces made the request feel unnecessary. Instead of feeling welcomed, I felt uncomfortable and rushed. It's disappointing because I really like this place, but experiences like this make me less likely to return. Sometimes a little understanding goes a long way in creating a positive customer experience.

There's a lot of seating upstairs and some options downstairs as well. They have a very robust coffee menu and options for chai and Matcha. They have both sweet desserts and savory quiches, empanadas, and croissants. Feels like you can stay here the whole time! In the back door, you can see them grinding and preparing the beans in a clear room. Overall, really great and relaxing food and vibe. Surface is fast and you get your coffee and our food within five minutes.
