I do not live in an area where there are Whataburgers so when I was looking for a place to grab a quick to-go bite. I had to try this place again and it didn't disappoint. My burger was tasty and so were the fries. From the time I ordered to when I was back in my room was 23 minutes so it was pretty quick. Exactly what I was looking for at 10pm. I did hear After the fact from a friend who grew up in TX that I should have gotten the spicy ketchup. Next time.

I had an in-app offer for buy one Whataburger, get one free. I ordered and paid through the app, as I normally do. I selected curbside parking and checked in when I got there. Another car doing curbside pickup arrived after me and ended up getting their food before I did. I ended up waiting 15 minutes before I went inside to ask about my order. When I got inside, they handed me my bag and I was on my way. When I got back to work I opened the bag and realized one of my burgers was missing, AND the food I did get was cold. Hopefully this is a one-off mistake because this is the Whataburger in town that I go to the most often. Today's lunch was disappointing...

Tired of this place giving out cold fries. Not even just cold. Taste old. Not going back

My favorites are the Rooster Tails (fried onions) and the chips and queso, but the real stars of the menu are the burgers. They're always fresh, hot, and juicy. The free peanuts are a nice touch, and they offer daily specials as well. I really miss the Bloody Mary bar, which was always a lot of fun, but their Sunday special makes up for it with a generous double for just $7. There's always a game on TV, which is a welcome break when you've had enough politics to last a lifetime. The servers and bartenders are consistently friendly, welcoming, and helpful. And whatever you do, don't forget to ask about the Yahtzee Roll at the bar. If you know, you know!

There's a full bar on both floors as well. The staff was pretty attentive, but the wait for food took a long time. I was happy the cocktails came pretty quickly and were well-made. The food was all pretty good for the most part not wowed but good! I have no complaints about my plate; it came with a great portion of food and was reasonably priced for BBQ. I ordered pulled pork and a side of corn and tomato salad and coleslaw. The sides were different from what I've had before, but I did enjoy them. Their coleslaw is more vinegar than mayo-forward. The pulled pork was well-seasoned, and the side of BBQ was the perfect match. My margarita tasted as if they made the mix in-house, and I prefer this. Store-bought mixers are usually either too sweet or too sour. However, if it is store-bought, I'm impressed! This was not a sweet margarita. My partner went for the Tennessee Texas Hot Sandwich; I did try it. There was hardly any heat despite it being their spicy chicken sandwich. I'm not sure if they make their chips in house but it seemed so.

We were craving a GOOD burger--the kind that actually satisfies the craving instead of leaving you…read morewishing you'd gone somewhere else. Burger Time Machine kept coming up as one of the most recommended spots, so we finally gave it a try. And now I feel cheated. How have I lived here this long and never been?! Somebody should have staged an intervention. Since it was our first visit, we had questions, and the staff helped us figure out what we wanted. We landed on the Jurassic Burger with curly fries swapped in, the original Time Machine Burger, and two kids' cheeseburger baskets. The kids immediately got to work on those fries, and judging by the complete lack of crumbs left behind, they were very happy with that decision. Now, the Jurassic Burger had me raising an eyebrow a little. It's a half-pound burger topped with little smokies grilled in sweet BBQ sauce, American cheese, mayo, and lettuce. Little smokies on a burger? I wasn't completely sold on the idea, but one bite shut me right up. The smoky sausage, sweet BBQ sauce, and cheese worked SO WELL together. It's a combination I probably wouldn't have thought to put together, but now that I've tasted it, I get it. And those curly fries deserve their own moment of appreciation--easily some of my favorites! For mine, I went with the original Time Machine Burger, because my logic was pretty simple: if you're putting the restaurant's name on it, surely that's the one that needs to show up and show out. And MY POINT WAS VALID. This half-pound burger comes topped with grilled onions, grilled mushrooms, grilled jalapeños, and American cheese, with mayo, mustard, lettuce, and pickles on a toasted bun. There's a lot happening there, but it all comes together SO well. Those grilled toppings with the cheese and that little kick from the jalapeños brought the whole burger to another level. It was the kind of bite that makes you pause to appreciate what you're eating... before immediately going back for another. Exactly what I had been craving, and my mouth is watering all over again just writing this. I understand why so many people recommended this place. I'm just a little offended that it took me this long to listen. Burger Time Machine, we will absolutely be back. I apparently have years of missed burgers to make up for.

I should preface this by saying I'm not from Texas (but am currently in the process of moving…read morehere). I decided to try it because it was down the street from my apartment. Something about this place just gave the vibe that they had good food. Maybe the slightly overgrown parking lot, the fact that there was nobody there, and the building was older. Anyway, I walk in and this random customer asked if I had been there before. I said no, and he said something along the lines of, "You've just stumbled upon a legendary burger joint". Some of the decor was a bit schizophrenic, but in a cool way. There was a car shell mounted to the ceiling, old movie posters everywhere, and a bunch of random decorations on shelves. I just ordered the namesake time machine burger and it was incredible. So good, I ordered a second one. Everyone working was very friendly too and the owner seemed like a really great guy. It's the slightly rundown greasy hole-in-the-wall places like this that always have the best food. I could never recommend it enough. They also have a burger with peanut butter on it which I've been told is really good, so I'll have to try that next time.

I'm a pretty picky eater, so the unique ingredient combinations on some of their burgers initially made me a little nervous. My advice? Trust the chef. Unless you have an allergy or a genuine reason to leave something off, order the burger exactly as it's intended. The flavor combinations might sound unusual, but somehow they just work. Every bite is packed with flavor, and the creativity is a huge part of what makes Rodeo Goat so good. One of my favorite things about Rodeo Goat is the Battle Burgers. Every month, two wildly creative burgers go head-to-head, and whichever one sells the most earns the right to stick around and compete again against a new challenger. It's basically burger fight club--and thankfully, nobody talks about burger fight club. I've tried almost everything on the menu, but 99.9% of the time, I find myself ordering one of the Battle Burgers. It keeps things fresh, interesting, and gives me an excuse to try something I probably wouldn't normally order. If you're in the area and looking for an incredible burger, Rodeo Goat should absolutely be your next stop. Come hungry, trust the chef, and prepare to have your definition of a burger expanded.
