Unreal! Worst experience. This place sucked. Super unorganized. Super delayed. Restaurant was practically empty, yet the 5 or 6 people there seemed to all be waiting for their food. Turns out many of them were actually drive-thru orders that had been sitting and waiting in the parking lot and decided to come in to check on the status of their food. We ordered at the counter for "eat in" and only got our food after waiting for 30 min AND after reminding them multiple times that we were still waiting for our "fast" food. First off I have never eaten at this particular Whataburger. It looks new. So my son and I stopped to eat after his class, and ordered online as we were about to walk in, so it would be ready sooner. We stopped into this location for breakfast on Saturday between running errands. Perhaps, it was more of a 3 1/2 star visit, but I'm rounding up because of the service. We originally went elsewhere for breakfast, but stood there ignored with another couple for about 4 minutes. No one acknowledged us or said anything at all, so we finally left and headed to Whataburger. We stepped out of our vehicle and a shift manager had already opened the door for us- well, that was quite the change from a few minutes before! She greeted us and was very friendly. We proceeded to the register where we hemmed and hawed and asked some general questions. The cashier was super friendly and helpful. The entire staff was very chatty with the customers, some were perhaps a little too chatty, but they were very welcoming. I would love this kind of treatment at any time of the day, but was pretty impressed that they were all so bright eyed at 8am. They appeared to have plenty of staff and about a third of the tables were taken. Our food seemed to take a while to come out, but I wasn't staring at the clock, and my husband had ordered items off the lunch menu, so it probably wasn't that long. When the food arrived my pancakes and bacon were exactly as I expected them to be, and they had provided lots of extra syrup. I don't use a lot of syrup, but I appreciated the gesture, and their syrup was actually quite good. I don't know how anyone can eat three pancakes in one sitting, I can't, so I wish they offered something smaller. The price was very reasonable, I just hate to waste food if I can help it. The hash brown sticks were perfectly crispy! I had no complaints about my meal and left satisfied and full. My husband ordered a chicken sandwich with cheese and wished he had been given the option of ordering the large cheese. Disclaimer, I didn't actually know before this visit that Whataburger had a small and large cheese slice... so perhaps if you ask, you can get an extra cheesy sandwich. Otherwise, his sandwich was quite good. The fries didn't taste very fresh, so that was a bummer. Fries cool quickly so I'm guessing they were ready at least two minutes before the chicken, since they cook faster, and had started to cool before they arrived at the table. Due to the size of the staff, I'm thinking they could have avoided that, but since it was breakfast time, that staff might not get a lot of lunch requests. It happens, not a huge deal. This location is very convenient to the highway and is in a shopping center with multiple entrances, so it's very easy to access. I really like any place that serves their entire menu so early in the day. It's vey convenient since my husband and I are on different work schedules and don't always crave the same thing at the same time. He's also very rarely in a breakfast mood, so I love when a place makes life easy like that! Whataburger is a step up from most fast food chains and I appreciate having one nearby when the mood strikes, or another business lets me down. Could they have executed parts of the meal a little better? Sure, but that's also par for the course with any fast food chain. Did they have typical fast food service? Absolutely not, they were extremely engaged and treated every customer like they were extra special! That's so rare these days and I commend them for providing us with a really good experience. Just left my sisters funeral and needed something quick to eat. We were traveling with a small dog (less than 10 lbs). and I was searching yelp reviews to find out if Whataburger was pet friendly. I saw several reviews saying that they were. We had a 4 Hour drive and wanted to get out of the car. I went inside to see if my dog could join us just to sit down for a bit in the corner. There was only one other customer in the entire restaurant. I was ask if the dog had a service tag and I said no it's just a pet. We were told that the dog cannot come inside. We decided then that we will just go through the drive-through and park in the parking lot and eat, since I love Whataburger and don't get to Texas that often. I went back inside to place an order to go and received zero service at the counter. There were no other customers in the restaurant at this time. I was not even acknowledged.
