Service was nice, servers were very friendly. We started eating inside, too many flies, very gross. Need even more fly traps in there. Everything inside was sticky, so we moved outdoors. Immediately the smell of rotting food hit our poor unassuming noses. It actually smelled exactly like fresh dog poop, very nasty. The many garbage cans outside seem to rarely get their garbage taken out, smelly. The burgers were very delicious though, much better than the mcdonalds across the street. I have to give three stars because they messed up my husband's burger not one, not twice, but THREE times in one trip....which turned our quick dinner stop on the ride home into a longer fiasco than we planned. My grilled chicken patty melt was amazing! I added bacon ($1.20 extra for 3 slices) and it was superb! I was kind of expecting Texas Toast (given it was a patty melt style sandwich) but it was delicious on the bun. The fries were so-so. Just your average shoestring fast food fries. Not as fresh as the sandwich but edible. They were even better with spicy ketchup. Make sure to ask for their spicy ketchup! It's not too hot but it does have a delicious kick to it. The little brother's girlfriend got a caramel shake. I didn't try it but she seemed to enjoy it. The store front was clean and the service was fairly fast, given the food was cooked to order. I wasn't that hungry but i saw a whataburger and pulled in. Then i remembered it. They play Christian contemporary which personally offends me. Keep your brain washing to your self please. So i asked for the food to go. The wait was 3 times longer than i have ever spent at a whataburger. The drink machine had a overly watery mix....watered down dr. Pepper... delicious. The bathroom was out of towels no blower. The ceiling was dripping water on the floor next to a wet floor sign. I get my food, go to my car to eat with out their musical endoctrination. My #2 double with everything on it is nothing but meat and cheese. No onions,lettuce, tomato... wtf do you think i am? An animal? I go back in. During the 5 minute wait for them to engineer our how to slap some veggies on an already made sandwich i was covered in flies at the front counter during my wait. I just worked 3 hours out in a field digging holes and didnt have half as many flies harass me. Hopefully the next time i drive thru i remember not to stop there. Or they shape up. read more

Worst service, or better yet no service. Went in last night with my son to get a burger and behind the counter was chaotic. Guy taking orders at counter was yuking it up with the two guys ahead of us in line after taking forever to get some employee to get him change he owed another customer. Stopped by Whataburger in Clanton, AL on my trip home from the beach. I was so looking forward to some chicken tenders dipped in gravy, because gravy is actually my favorite dipping sauce. When I ordered my chicken, I clearly stated that I would like gravy as my dipping sauce because I know theirs is amazing and I remember telling the cashier to add gravy. We waited for our food, and when I received my chicken tenders I noticed there was no gravy. I walked back inside to the cashier and waited about 7 minutes for someone to assist me. I asked for my gravy that I was missing, and they walked back in the kitchen and discussed my missing gravy. They looked back on their previous orders and decided that I did not ask for gravy. The cashier walked back to me and asked for my receipt which I thought I had thrown away. I expressed this to her and she informed me that I would not be getting gravy unless I had a receipt to prove it. To that I said, "I will just go get it from the car." But I will not be returning inside. This Whataburger location has ruined my experiences forever. Now I am eating my chicken with ketchup, which I do not enjoy. #GiveMeMyGravy read more

Worst experience I've ever had at a fast food restaurant. Not only was the food terrible the cashier was atrocious. She asked for my name and when I didn't respond in the instant she asked she yelled NAME at me. When I replied startled she asked why I was whispering to which I replied I wasn't I was just startled from her yelling she then responded she was sorry she had hearing aids.... So I was confused after that as to why she would assume I was whispering when she is the one with a hearing problem! The highchairs were all dirty and I had to ask for one to be cleaned. After our food was brought out I asked for some ketchup to which she responded by rudely asking if we wanted spicy or regular. She then brought an excessive amount that had to be carried in two arms for only three people. Then as we are eating my 11 month old baby threw down a couple fries (if you have children I know you've been there) well we had every intention of picking them up when we were done eating but miss cashier of the year insisted on walking to our table proceeded to pick them up and stared us down as she threw them away. I will never be back here again! I hope this young lady gets the break she deserves because something must being going on in her life or at work. read more

I really enjoyed going to Whataburger. It had been several years since my last visit and this time I was able to take the family. We can not get Whataburger in our area so I can only get it when we go on trips. My wife and I both had the number one with cheese and split a large fries. The girls split the Chicken nuggets, (They call them something other than nuggets but I don't remember what it was.) and small fries for each. The burgers were wonderful and so were the fries. The fries were nice and salty the way I like it. The nuggets were very small and very over cooked but it was plenty for the kids and they eat most of the chicken and all the fries. I did give them four stars instead of five because they took the order of an employee wearing a Whataburger uniform and made her food first which is fine but not good customer service. We also had to wait for longer than what a burger and fries should take. I also did like the choice of getting regular or spicey ketchup to go. The bathrooms were not dirty but they were not clean by any means. This location was between Montgomery and Burmingham. read more

First and foremost, the meals are the perfect size. The burgers are real burgers, not ones that belong in a kiddie meal. You also get a big fry and an adult sized drink. The service is top notch. We stopped on our way back from Florida even though the line was out the door. This place was packed! We still got our food in a phenomenally short time! Even though they were swamped they were professional and very courteous. Our whole family have become Whataburger fans. read more

Probably one of the worst fast food experiences I've ever had. First time visit to Whataburger on our way home from vacation. Stopped here to use the restroom and get a late lunch. They were very busy, but had an abundance of staff doing things that were not priority, including some type of supervisor in the lobby on her laptop while tables were dirty and trash was overflowing. It took 40 mins for us to receive our food, which was incorrect. No chicken tenders in my sons meal, no shake for my husband and the completely wrong sandwich. Had to get napkins from the restroom because none were available and after asking 3 times I gave up. The food was decent but other than that, avoid this location if possible. read more

As with my previous experience with Whataburger, I am a fan for sure. They have nice size burgers packed with all the things you don't really expect a fast food burger to have (Compared to McDonald's and Burger King). It seems to be a bit bigger than the Whopper for about the same price. The fries remain "Just okay" for me, though the SPICY Ketchup they have (Something I didn't try the previous time) was very good. I'd recommend it. The Medium drink remains huge, and I still have yet to see the LARGE drink. Based on the size of the lid, I can only assume that it is limited in use to thirsty athletes or people who want to have enough for the whole family to drink from one cup. The staff was very friendly, and one of the things I would absolutely come back because of. If you are from a state that doesn't have a Whataburger as I am, I would recommend stopping in and trying it out. read more

This is a place I have never been to since this chain is only in the southern states. We made a trip to this location on our way home and it was the only one before we got out of Alabama. There are a lot more in Southern Alabama. At first the place was a mess but that was after a lunch rush. They give you a number to take to your table and they bring the food to you. I have the #1 the "Whataburger" original. I had it the way it's made. It was actually one of the better fast food burgers I've eaten. Better than Burger King by far! The fries were good but over salted but still good. They have a good spicy ketchup there too that's awesome to have. This location is off the interstate so it's well worth a stop if you want to experience something other than the big 3 burger places. read more

The workers were really rude to my friend. She asked if she could get some ketchup and the employee sassed her and said she should've thought of that when she ordered. Also a woman was loudly complaining about how she didn't steal a Camaro and disrupted the restaurant setting. She was very annoying. Workers seemed either inexperienced or short-tempered.
