We brought in our Whataburger cups we got yelled at "NO REFILLS" No you cannot get soda or tea in those cups. " No REFILLS"! So, i will not eat at Whataburger anymore. I am so unhappy with the way they get you to buy a 75-year cup, and you cannot use it. Bad planning. Not a good practice of business ideas. To save using more trash cups seems they would promote using their cups gets you a discount off the drink. So, to prevent of getting yelled at I will stop eating at Whataburger. The food was as expected, edible, however what wa expected, was getting sick afterwards. Not sure if it was the sub-par burger, old chicken tenders or cold fries. Either way my body was not happy. Few years ago I ate from this location and I got extremely sick so stopped. Well, a year or so ago, I got the craving for a monterey melt but did not go due to the Rona. Finally after a year of holding it at bay, I finally gave in and came here. Turns out they got rid of the monterey melt!! :(. Sad but not defeated, I ordered a double meat Whataburger with fajita vegetables, onions, monterey jack cheese and jalapeno ranch sauce (basically trying to recreate the monterey melt), spicy chicken sandwich, and fries. Took it home and took some bites from the burger. After just a few bites, I felt incredibly ill and nauseated. I couldn't finish my burger, it was that bad. The spicy chicken sandwich is the worst version of all the spicy chickens that have come out over the last few years. Bland, dry, and more expensive than the others. I've always liked their fries and they were good. So based on these experiences, I'm not only done with this location, but Whataburger as a whole. Ordered at the drive up, the lady who took my order repeated it correctly, when I got to the window the kid at the window told me what I owed, and never told me what I ordered when I paid for it, when I ordered there was only 2 cars in front of me... The first sign that things have gone wrong was when the kid at the window went to hand me a drink... I didn't order a drink, he then handed me a bag stating it was something other than what I ordered, seriously!!! Then what I perceived as a manager came out and started arguing with me, saying it's my job to make sure I pay for the right food, and I was like how am I supposed to check the food before I have it? This place always has fresh fast food and is the place to go for your whatburger needs! However, the service has been troublesome if you decide to go for the graveyard shift. Throughout the last few months (anytime between 1AM-5AM) tends to block off the drive thru so there's no possible way to order. So if you decide to go between those times, be aware that they do that, which is quite disappointing. This has been my 3rd time ordering from this location and they've given me the wrong order. This time we ordered the chicken strip sandwich and the sweet and spicy bacon burger. We didn't check our bags until we got home and we have a patty melt combo and the burger we ordered. I'm tired of driving back to this location since it's the closest to my apartment...which is still a good 10-15 minute drive. The last times we ordered they gave us the wrong combos completely or we got the right combos and they neglected to remove the things we asked for in the first place. I order on the app each time and I'm done being disappointed and inconvenienced by this location. My ordering experience has been mainly at night so maybe it's an evening shift issue. Idk. For safety reasons I went to the drive thru instead as I didn't want to slip and fall. The Whataburger at 11135 N I- 35 Service Rd in North Austin has totally become unreliable. I'd suggest getting your burgers at another Whataburger location. Today my daughter went to that location to get a simple order for the both of us, using my credit card. To begin with, the plain and dry cheeseburger (mine) had lettuce on it that she did not order. Her burger was never made. We didn't notice the errors until she brought the food home, so she, of course, very tiredly went back to the store with the receipt to get her burger. The manager actually refused to complete the order! He told her he needed to see the whole order in order to correct the mistake. She started to drive away, hungry and upset that I had been charged for a non-existent burger. Thinking about it made her so mad that she went back AGAIN to have it out with the manager. This time he made the burger, as he should have done the the first time she brought the stores mistake to his attention. I could pick off lettuce, but she was hungry WAY longer than she needed to be with an order SHE didn't mis-order. When I called to complain about our treatment to the manager, he hung up on me after mumbling to me in a heavy accent. He also yelled at me on the phone when I called back. I'm hoping the Chicago aquisition of Whataburger doesn't corrupt ALL the locations like this. Every time I go even at weird hours there's a huge long line it moves very slowly there are 2 places for line but I've never seen the 2nd one open.. My order is never correct. Unlike a lot of chains, Whataburger locations can vary. So, clearly some Whataburgers are better than others. And right now, this one may be one of the best in the Austin area. Both times I've been to this location, it's been on its A game. There's literally nothing to complain about. Friendly service. (And each time, from a different crew.) The orders come out correctly. The restaurant is clean and the temperature inside is always comfortable. The beverage area is always clean and well stocked. In other words, you don't have to ask them to go to the back and get lemon packets or any other condiments. Each time, my burger was cooked perfectly. The bread, whether a hamburger bun or Texas toast, is always fresh and toasted. The cheese is melted. The toppings are plentiful. And the fries are crispy. (Friends, an order of Whataburger fries cooked properly even beats the world famous Mickey D's fries!)
