Everything Melanie makes is amazing!!!!!!!!! I love how she also sticks to her concept! Schnitzels/schnitzel sandwiches/ Spatzele and Ger! My fav is the chicken German with Aioli! The veggies topped ate fresh and crispy! The Meat is tender and juicy! You won't be disappointed eating anything here! Trust me! Oh and yes she's really German, a lot of people actually ask that when i've been to the food truck lol!

Always hot and fresh. The different variations of sandwiches are awesome. I always look for the truck when it's in the Reston area.

It's a place I'd happily return to and confidently recommend.

Euro Bistro has been around since 1999. A friend and I went to lunch there before Yelp existed…read more We enjoyed their lunch. At the time their concept was one that offered entrees from different European countries. My friend, who is a vegetarian, was pleased to find an entree that she could eat. Over the years, we never did return there for our lunch meet ups. Nor did my husband and I get there. You know...so many restaurants, so little time. We recently gave thought to the idea of having dinner there. What prompted us was due to picking up a pizza at Marcos, which is next door. We looked up their current menu while we waited for our pizza and liked what we saw. We were here on a Saturday around 5 p.m. Business was slow then but steadily picked up. We were seated and greeted. A server came around to bring water as we looked over the menu. When we were ready to give our order, an older woman, whom we think is the manager came to take it. She was very friendly, polite and efficient. We noticed that she regularly checked on all the diners. The menu is mostly German food with some elements from other cuisines. For example, you can get a Thai iced tea to go with your meal. We started out with an appetizer and chose Caprese salad. This was a simple one with 4 slices of mozzarella, 4 ripe tomato slices and a drizzle of balsamic. We both thought it was well prepared and the portion size was just right for two. Also, a small portion of bread and butter is brought to the table. For my main course, I chose Weinerschnitzel made with white meat chicken. It was accompanied with a small cup of gravy, which was meat based. Also, entrees come with a side of one's choice. I chose German potato salad. My husband got the Sausage Platter which has 3 different sausages---bratwurst, knackwurst, and baurenwurst plus some sauerkraut. He, too, chose German potato salad as his size. Also, a small cup of mustard comes with this dish. As for the food---I thought my Weinerschnitzel was well prepared and arrived while it was hot. This dish comes with 3 thin cutlets. I used the gravy which amped up the flavor. My husband really liked his sausage dish. He enjoyed each sausage and thought the mustard worked well with them. Neither of us cared for the German potato salad. While we appreciate that it is house made, we didn't like how one forkful would taste sweet while the next forkful was sour. Perhaps the dressing hadn't been mixed well. We decided to share a dessert and chose the apple strudel. This was quite tasty. It was tender and easy to cut with a fork and nicely flavored. A small cup of vanilla ice cream comes with it plus a side of whipped cream and the plate was garnished with strawberry syrup. The decor was nice with lots of artwork, including a Van Gogh poster. We enjoyed looking at the art. We both agree that we would return again. If you go, take note as the evening progresses, parking gets tight in the small lot. Just backing out of our spot was stressful. Next time, we would park further away in the same lot in a section that doesn't get crowded.

When you are as busy as this place is, having one of three bar tenders as your server makes for a long wait for everything. We started with the crab pretzel - omg the amount of salt was horrid, I have had better dip at dive bars. We ended going somewhere else for dinner, the wait here was ridiculous! Ambiance, a little loud but it looks very nice.

We started with Potato Cakes with crème fraiche, they had a nice crunch, a tender interior with subtle flavor. I'd never had them with crème fraiche, it was a nice change and the mild tanginess with the creamy texture complimented the Cakes well. I ordered the Main Street with Weisswurst, a Pretzel and plain Spätzle. It was my first, the veal's flavor is understated in comparison to Bratwurst or Knackwurst (not on the menu) and was a pleasant changeup. The Pretzel was little disappointing while it was a decent pretzel, it lacked the crisp crust and distinctive flavor I expected. As evident by the rating while worthy of note, it's not a game changer. I'd ordered a large plain Spätzle, which was two regular portions, but was served Spätzle with cheese I tasted it and it wasn't my thing, which is not to say it was bad, I just don't care for cheese in dishes like that. Our server swapped one cheese for plain (my wife had happily stolen the other) and enjoyed the replacement. I found that the grilled onions gave it a nice homey flavor. Mistakes happen and it turned out to be a win in the end. We shared a couple of desserts and by far, my favorite was the Black Forest Cupcake. It's on the large side, they might be able to cut on the weighty crème icing, the chocolate cake and soaked cherries were a delight. The cherries are a significant improvement over the Marchinos I had before, if only there were more. Rathskeller can get a little loud, as it is a relatively small space with hard surfaces so voices reflect, it wasn't packed this afternoon, so it wasn't an issue. Waitstaff dresses very casually, it pleasant and fairly attentive.

The food is hearty, flavorful, and everything you want from traditional German cuisine. The beer selection is excellent, and the lively atmosphere makes it easy to settle in and enjoy yourself. One word of advice: come hungry. The portions are huge, and you'll definitely get your money's worth. Whether you're stopping in for a quick pint or a full meal, Ratskeller delivers a memorable experience.

I coulda gone to a Starbucks or picked any one of the MANY pastry specialty shops along the way buttttt why would I? LOL. Decent Margarita (learning to say HECK NOOOO to Montezuma ... IYKYK). Super limited HH menu but the chicken skewer I ordered did not disappoint. Would order again. Juicy nuggets (clearly NOT air fried), decent tzatziki sauce, FRESH grilled veggies (albeit no seasoning *sigh*). 25+ beers on tap. Personally, I'm not a beer drinker (besides an occasional Stella or Modelo) buttt 25+ seems pretty impressive to me for a bar this size. Flyers promote stand up comedy events and some more! Sheesh, for the 40 minutes I was there, I can confirm they clearly have a strong presence on King Street. Most def recommending and personally, would most def return ... I'm super curious about the "wurst on a roll" and the rooftop setting (which wasn't open yet). Again, in my 49 minute time frame ... they lost A LOT of business because the roof top was not open. EXCELLENT play list ... YASSS to the late 90's - early 2K rap! In all honesty, this is the reason I gave them 4 stars. Alright, Body on Me (Nelly, Ashanti & Akon) is blaring ... gotta go pretend I can sing. When you come, share which beer, HH snack or entree YOU ordered and tell them you saw it on Yelp!

There was an event going on so the downstairs dining area was full, and our only option was the bar or rooftop. We decided on the rooftop, which would've been super fun on a warm spring or summer night. It really was beautiful up there. But, it was cold and had been raining, so it was a bit of a bummer we couldn't be comfortable at a table inside. I figured I could get past being cold if the food was at least good, but the pretzel was dry and hard. They didn't offer beer cheese which was a bummer, so I tried queso and buffalo chicken dips. The dips were yummy despite the lame pretzel. The cherry on top was that the service sucked. The guy working the rooftop bar seemed miserable, like he would've rather been anywhere else. He was rude and snarky when we asked questions about the menu and made us feel like an inconvenience when we asked for to-go boxes. We will not be back.
