As far as burger vans go this one is right up there with the best of them. The gourmet burger companies have got in on the act. The Real Irish Burger company is a prime example of this change - their burgers are genuine 100% Irish beef and they taste just as good off a paper plate as they do off a porcelain one. This particular stand is stationed behind The Kingspan stadium (Revenhill) and the queues (pictured) tell their own story. Trust me it's worth the wait. The selection of burgers is excellent (for a van). Try the bacon and cheese legend. Simple but effective. They do fries too but if you're going to queue up you'd be crazy not to get a real Irish burger. Hard to pick any faults with this van or company other than the mile long queue, but sure at a sports match you pick the stall with the biggest queue anyway.

So we had to find somewhere to catch a coffee and it was too early for most of the chain coffee places. An independent is out of the question too where we were. So we hit food into our sat nav and here came up as being 5 miles from the port so coffees and toilet were the focus. It's an out of town drive thru which we opted to sit in. It was warm within with uncomfortable and unforgiving seating. We were daft enough to sit inside and order from the app. But it worked and worked well. We both decided to try their pancakes and the fatty pork patty. We opted for the food to come to our table and that either well as the server delivered to us. The pancakes came with 'syrup' another sugar solution and they had no butter which I find unacceptable. When the food arrived I realised I hadn't ordered coffees so one cappuccino and a white coffee totalled £2.68. Jib done. It's never enjoyable here rather it's the best of a bad lot and that's saying something. The only saving Grace is it's cheap.

The cats are owned and live at their parents house and come in specially for the Cafe. The Rovers Return is downstairs and its too noisy for them to stay overnight. The cats were a little sleepy today, no problem so were we. We booked in advance 7 pounds on line.
