I took my car into Pekar at the end of April 2020. I informed the person that gave me a quote that…read moreI had already replaced some of the damage (rim and tire) to make the car drivable. However, they ask me to provide the quote from the insurance company. When I did and took the car in for the other repairs, they did the other repairs and still replaced the tire and rim that I had already paid to fix. They took the damaged rim and tire out of the trunk and turn it in to get money back. Placed the new tire and rim that I had brought in the trunk and put another new tire and rim on the car. This is a body shop that can't even tell a new rim and tire from a damaged rim and tire. A reasonable person would have asked questions instead of just replacing a new product with another new product despite being told in advance. The workers (MANAGER) at the shop stated they never knew about the rim and tire had been replaced. Pekar and my insurance teamed up against me and I had to eat the cost of the rim and tire that I bought that should not had be replaced. In speaking with the manager of Pekar, he stated that he had been in the business for over 30 years but it is ridiculous that he cannot tell or ask questions about replacing a brand new rim and tire especially when you have the messed up rim/tire in the trunk of a car along with a dummy tire underneath. Who keeps a messed up tire and a dummy tire in the trunk? If the tire you took out of the trunk sits where a dummy tire goes then there would not already be a tire there. So to accept no responsibility is ridiculous. Especially, when I told the very first person I seen when I brought the car in for an estimate that I had replaced the tire and rim already and I told the girl that met me at my car when I dropped it off that the damaged rim and tire needed to remain in the trunk since I had already replaced it (IDK if they really have surveillance cameras because I asked them to check them). I was out of hundreds of dollars because a professional shop don't know any better. The manager was rude, not understanding, and the customer was NOT always right. He offered no compromise or solution to this issue. If you use this company, GOOD LUCK!!!!

There were a few minor paint issues afterward, and he told me to bring it back if they didn't resolve after a wash. I got busy and never made it back. Recently, the same car was hit again on the rear driver side, so I returned to Sam. He did an excellent job--honestly, you can't tell anything ever happened. He also went ahead and corrected the paint from the previous repair and it looks great too. Turnaround was incredibly fast--dropped it off Friday and had it back by Sunday. Pricing is also very reasonable, especially if you're paying out of pocket. I hope I don't need body work again, but if I do, I wouldn't go anywhere else. Highly recommend this place.

Had it towed there. He was fast and got my car drivable quick. I was impressed! Although, no alignment. I was going to do no interest financing through Affirm, but he said he preferred cash and tacked on $125 for using Affirm. I brought back cash. $1680 total. I asked him for a receipt. He said he would send it to me. My car felt off but needed the alignment. Took it to my trusted mechanic who replaced all my suspension last summer. He told me the tie rod on front wheel wasn't done properly, bolt was tightened way too low. I also needed a wheel bearing and hub assembly. Told me was very unsafe to drive. Got that work done, another $1200. With a detailed receipt and warranty!! In the process, he showed me that Sam used junk parts on rear wheel suspension. Cross member, tie rod, both control arms and strut. He showed me the difference between the parts he put on last summer to Sam's junk parts. So I need to replace that strut as it's weak because salvage yard part. Sam has never sent me a professional receipt like I asked for. My car also came home with a long scratch on the opposite side of accident- passenger side. Sam got defensive and argued with me about it, pointed out his cameras and $100K cars, although he said he would buff it out but he didn't. In my opinion, Sam is an arrogant crook. No integrity and his business is just smoke and mirrors. Beware.

B&M Mobile Auto Body Repair - Extremely Unprofessional, Poor Work, and Ghosted After Payment…read more I hired Barry McGill of BM Mobile Auto Body to fix cosmetic damage on two vehicles. This turned into one of the worst service experiences I've had. First car - surprise charges and poor business practices Barry completed the main repair on the first vehicle, which initially looked acceptable. However, when we asked him to go over a couple of very minor additional spots (a dent and some scratches), he did the work without providing a new quote or asking for approval, and then tacked on an extra $200 after the fact. We never agreed to this price increase in advance. Any reputable business discusses costs before doing additional work--this alone should have been a red flag. Second car - made it WORSE The second vehicle had a tiny scratch that was not visible from outside the car. Barry decided to "repair" it by dabbing what looked like nail polish on the surface. He insisted it was a "perfect color match" and claimed it would "look like it never happened" once it dried. Instead, it looks far worse than before. The repair is obvious, sloppy, and amateurish. Anyone with basic auto body experience would recognize this as unacceptable work. Broken promises and ghosting Barry told me that if it didn't look perfect the next day, he would come back for free and make it right. The next day, I called him -- he told me to "give it a few more days." A few days later, he promised to come back at an agreed-upon time. He didn't show. Hours later, after I chased him down, he claimed his grandfather was in the hospital. I gave him the benefit of the doubt and told him to come when convenient. He said Saturday. Saturday came -- no Barry. After multiple texts, he said he got busy on another job and promised to arrive by 2 PM. He never showed, and now appears to have blocked my number or stopped responding entirely. Of course, this all happened after he had already been paid. Total disrespect for our time I left work early on a weekday to meet him. We rearranged our entire Saturday to be home waiting for him. He wasted our time repeatedly with zero accountability. Lack of professionalism Barry smoked a cigarette in our driveway while reviewing the job and left the cigarette butt behind. This may seem minor, but it reinforces the overall lack of professionalism and respect. Bottom line Surprise charges without approval Substandard, amateur-looking work Broken promises Repeated no-shows Complete lack of follow-through once paid This business is unreliable, unprofessional, and not qualified to perform proper auto body work. I've used other mobile auto repair services in the past with excellent results--this was the exact opposite. I strongly recommend looking elsewhere.

Which makes me think this establishment can manipulate metrics to only show the positive reviews which is unscrupulous. Honestly, am amazed at all of their glowing reviews which places me as the exception.. Pls see pics of their work & zoom in. Back in 11/2024 my vehicle was parked in the parking lot by valet to which the very same valet driver while moving another customer's vehicle, hit mine in the process.. Due to the "raving reviews" I opted to take my vehicle here for body work.. Big mistake. Can't discredit their courtesy at first glance nor their congeniality.. However, when it came to picking up my vehicle & scanning it thoroughly this is where I uncovered deceit. First off, was never provided any updates or feedback leading up to me picking up my vehicle. Radio silence. I was the one reaching out inquiring about the status. If you as the reps of this establishment respond back to my post & lie & say you kept me posted throughout the duration, that's a lie. I had to establish the contact. Upon picking up my vehicle in 1/2025, forgot the guy's name, however he's the older gentlemen, he informed me my vehicle is outside & hands me over my keys. Thought that was mad odd so I said "hey, can you come out with me so we can view the work repaired together". He obliged. Note, weather was dreary & wet the day of pick up. As I'm looking around to observe if there are any discrepancies, saw them & pointed them out to the gentleman. One of which was a black scrape mark embedded in the bumper area. So, I asked if this is a "new" bumper why is there a noticeable mark? He gave me a lame response, "well , it must of got there when the tech was placing the bumper on, he may have scratched it" ok, fine.. As a result, he did return my vehicle back to the tech to "touch up" that blemish. After the touch up, it was still noticeable plus a part of the bumper was not completely pushed in so they tried to manage but failed to push it in completely. Once I arrived home, the sun was now beaming to which allowed me to perform another scan of my vehicle. It was there I discovered other issues. In their defense, they did since I was under warranty , attempted to warranty their work by remediating the flaws including me pointing out glued up sides in the crevices of the bumper. To which Azim said, "oh, that's just paint that bled over" . Any who, my vehicle was kept with them for another 2 weeks I believe. During that time, they did provide a loaner. When I picked up my vehicle, noticed papers where I store in the sun visor, rummaged through & placed on the passenger seat. The back seat area (I have leather seats) looked as if it was walked on as I saw muddy foot prints. Rude! Their aesthetic is grimy & unprofessional. Gaps still in the crevices of the bumper & fender plus the gaps between the bumper & headlight & hood, all optics. Fast forward to Feb 2025, I emailed them to showcase an image I took displaying ripples in the paint foundation. They ignored me so I sent a follow up email in March 2025 (still was ignored) informing them of that rippled paint issue as well as a bumper that is not pushed in & keeps sticking out! I contacted the 3rd party insurance that paid for the repair & that's when this establishment tried to contact me. At that point, I ignored them since I did not trust them to fix their mistakes. I instead, went to another body shop the 3rd party insurance approved. I was furious! Couldn't believe this happened to me especially since they've worked on luxury vehicles & had great results. The body shop that performed my post repairs, relayed when you lift the hood up, screws were missing, there was a huge gap between the hood & bumper. After removing the bumper, they stated the bumper was all glued up! Said , it looked like it was glued together to the Azim person & he dismissed my remarks. The hood needs a paint correction as my vehicle is not the same. I am fortunate, during my post repairs from another body shop, there are no longer gaps & glued up parts.
