My other options were towing the vehicle to a Ford dealership in Victoria or to an ACE Hardware in Bay City from Matagorda. My insurance company told me that they had called over 30 locksmiths in the area, and he was the only one willing to conduct travelling key making/programming. Quick and efficient load up of my lowered and modified car. He took me back into Houston so I could get my tire replaced. They arrived…read morevery quickly and even provided a recommendation based on the condition of the truck to take it to the dealer rather than a local repair shop. While the tow to the nearest dealership was about 20-30 miles (Brenham) they offered a more than fair price for the service. This recommendation turned out to be very good as the engine block had split due to a design issue and only a dealer could work with me and FCA corporate to figure out a goodwill settlement on the cost of a new engine. The service was also incredibly patient and helpful as my wife was 7 months pregnant at the time and was in the car with my mother-in-law, my daughter and had just picked up her mother-in-law's terminally diagnosed dog. Needless to say, Crosby towing was the one bright spot in an otherwise crappy day!
