I should've used my instincts when I came in to this crowded unclean restaurant that this was the beginning of a terrible experience. Floors aren't swept, tables covered in food and dishes, people crowding the register. But like most adventurous people who respect the food industry, I get that staff can be backed up or some orders take longer to cook, or maybe there's just a large party dining in. I truly get it. I wanted to give this a chance as it seemed like a diamond in the rough due to the current review status. Boy was I so wrong. I waited for over an hour for a soup, salad and pork Schnitzel (still waiting as I type this review) . Staff did not give us any update, nor did they seem to remember what we ordered, no sense of urgency. What's the point of giving us a receipt number, or table placard with numbers if no one is following it, and there's a handful of people asking for a status update? It wasn't until we asked for a refund IF they haven't started with preparing our order did they actually care. Mind you now it's 30minutes before closing, they are still taking orders and they still haven't served others who are just as upset for not being served. Maybe it was a bad day, but it affected me and family enough to not consider coming back. Good luck to you Esther's Update: after 1hr 45min, They forgot our salad, the soup of the day was sub par Campbells soup, and their pork schnitzel was lackluster.

Get to pick from a few. My faves are the Ludwig's Fränkische which is like a thicker bratwurst and the Käsekrainer that has little cubes of melty cheese inside 5 stars - Pretzel: warm and great version, bit smaller than expected. Like the flavor of the beer cheese sauce but it's a thinner versions 4 stars - Burger: my son has had it and it's good with good fries too. 4 stars - Schnitzel: large and flat breaded pork but not so much flavor. Nice with spetzel. Cool they have options for a half portion or veggie version if that's your thing. 3.5 stars - Lots of beers to choose from: including the oldest brewery in the world - Mulled wine in winter: very tasty with great spices 4.5 stars - Friendly new female owner who appreciates her customers - Open outdoor seating with some coverage and traditional picnic tables. Also some tables indoor for a different vibe. Lowlights - Bit of a wait for food: when we went they were open but the kitchen wasn't yet - Qr code menu has an order button but you can't order Fun place to hang out and we'll be back.

Fun beer garden with a nice outdoor area, a popcorn machine, Happy Hours, and trivia on Wednesdays!…read moreI arrived with my gal pal during happy hour to snack on some bites and have a beer. It was a sunny day and the weather was beautiful (but slightly hot), luckily we got a table as there were reserved seats around us. For happy hour, we got their happy hour sampler which included, 2 spaetzle cheese balls, a pretzel with sweet mustard, pickled veggies, and a cheese sausage/brat wrapped in pastry dough. We also ordered some jager fries (fries with mushroom gravy/jager sauce, cheese, and green onions). The wrapped sausage was the standout! We also ordered two half liter beers - I love the selection of German beers and local beers. This being a biergarten, of course we went German. Overall, a beautiful way to spend an afternoon! I would definitely try non-happy hour menu items and try to make my way down their beer list.

The staff here are genuinely kind, knowledgeable without being pretentious, and always happy to offer a small tasting if you're on the fence with your choice. Their beer is insanely good, especially the hazy pale ales, which are easily some of my favorites in the Bay Area. The taproom itself has a relaxed, community vibe with comfy couches, fun pinball machines, and a huge selection of board games. They also serve food on-site (the pizza and empanadas are perfect for snacking), which makes it an easy choice for groups. Overall, Barebottle is one of those rare places that gets everything right: great beer, great people, and a great space. I always love coming here!!

They made our entire group feel genuinely special- thoughtful check-ins, warm hospitality, and effortless timing that kept everything moving without ever feeling rushed. Their service struck the perfect balance between personable and professional. They remembered preferences, offered smart recommendations, and proactively made sure every guest felt included. The atmosphere at Barebottle was already great, but Matty and Nettie elevated the experience, turning a simple gathering into something memorable. If you're planning a celebration or team outing, ask for Matty and Nettie- you'll be in excellent hands.
