Came here for a little snack to find out that they were still closed. It says you open at 11am. The guy working said that they were still closed and won't be open til noon. If you show that you're open online at 11am or on the little stickers on your window you might need to change that. I'm assuming the worker came in late and started prepping late. I've always been a fan of Wetzels! They are my go-to for when I need a pretzel done right. This location in particular, has some of the best employees. Everyone here is cheerful and easy to approach. If you want a fresh pretzel, they have no problem making you one to order. They aim to please! This storefront in particular is very neat and clean! The countertops weren't sticky and I could see my reflection in them. The glass windows are always shining. You can tell the new owners/employees take pride in their physical appearance and in the stores appearance. Please give them a visit. read more

It will probably be the last time I will come here. I sometimes stop by to get the kids some of their pretzel bites. The other day I ordered some with a side of cheese. They were at least a couple dollars more than what the menu price was. I brought it up to the cashier, and she just proceeded to tell me where to pay. I asked again, and she said did you want two dips? i said no, just one. I figured that meant she fixed the cost, but came home to find out my debit card was still charged almost 10.00 for bites and a cheese dip. This is located inside the food court at Grossmont Mall. It's next door to the candy store and Charlotte Russe, and directly across from Claire's. I've never seen more than 3 people in line, so it's a quick fix if you're super hungry. My personal favorite is the plain pretzel bites for about $5. You have the option of adding extra salt. Since I love to dip it in jalapeño cheese, I opt out of the extra sodium :) - clearly, I try really hard to stay healthy... #Sarcasm The jalapeño cheese is super tasty. Back to back awful visits. On Mother's Day I went to get pretzels for my wife. I ordered two pretzels and cheese. The employee charged me for pretzel bites and cheese. The girl working had to cancel the order, refund it and redo the whole transaction. Not once did she apologize. Today I ordered the same thing and the two pretzels I got were rock solid. Didn't think I would need to check the bag to make sure the food was fresh since a supervisor was training a new employee on my transaction. I've probably been here at least a dozen times over the years, my son is a pretzel addict. He loves all the different versions of the pretzels they sell here. While they're not the healthiest thing for you, I think they're ok occasionally. This is fairly convenient for us in terms of location and the service is always really good here. They're always really nice to my lil dude which is why I keep coming back. They cater to his requests and give him the extra time he needs to order, all the things I look for in customer service. They have to two ways to order: at the outside window, or inside at the counter in the food court. The items are always hot and fresh. He's also ordered their lemonade and frozen drinks which he loves. They're easy to find in the mall, across from Bath & Body Works. I was charged for an item I did not ask for. I ordered two pretzels and two dips and was charged for three pretzels. I called the store after I was home and looked at my receipt and it seemed high. I called and at this point hadn't ate my pretzels yet and the young man Ruben said he would talk to the manager/owner and call me back. I got a call back not from Someone other than Ruben and not from the manager/owner another team member who did not want to disclose his name saying that they looked at the cameras and I was given three. Sure I could have paid more attention but they made a mistake that I'm going to have to pay for. Super nice employees! Matt made my pretzel and another girl working there rang me up. They were both pleasantly nice. It was delicious nice and warm with salt but not too much! Had a nice cup of strawberry lemonade too and Matt made sure to stir it so the syrup wasn't all in one spot! Yummy stuff. I typically really like Wetzel's Pretzels but this place was bad. The pretzels were hard to the point of being crunchy when I tried to bite into one. I told them and they remade a pretzel for me but it was hard too. You would think that they would be making fresh pretzels since the ones under the heat lamp were obviously stale, but they were all just standing around talking.
