Make here bright and early Saturday morning. We were meet by a super nice gal. We sat outside on a great sunny day. She brought wine and we started tasting. The wine was yummy and the views were great. I wish this place had some food cause I could have spent much more time here. We could a few bottle and cans of different wines we enjoyed. We had the BEST time here yesterday! Never, in all my extensive wine tasting have I ever had a wine sommelier actually ask me what I like and then give me tastings that would suite my pallet. I prefer Malbec's and Tempranillo so he gave me 4 lovely tasting that were in that same family. My friend prefers pino's and Sirah's so he did the same for her, only with 4 different wines and in a fancier glass, which I guess that kind of wine gets served. I cannot remember the sommeliers name but we took a photo, which I am posting. The tasting room is also a shop which sells everything from bubble wrap wine bags to wine themed Christmas ornaments to t-shirts. And wine, of course. The grounds were absolutely lovely so we also got a shop of the vineyard dusted with snow. If you are in the area, I would give this place a taste. For $10, it was well worth the 6 mile drive in from the highway. read more

Bought a Groupon because Groupon has amazing wine tastings and we chose Chateau Bianca because what a cute cute name for a wine tasting. However this tasting wasn't as I expected and I guess I have high expectations of my wine tastings through Groupon. But this place didn't have cheese, or an authentic story about the winery, or a tour of the winery, and the free cup was a plastic one I already have. I just wish we had taken the time to explore the grounds and such - but that just means we didn't check Yelp first. However we each left with a bottle of spice wine which was super delish and I'm probably going to open a bottle right now. read more

The wines taste like...... the tasting room looks. Cheap and smelly. Plastic flowers and dusty nick-nacks adorn this musty smelling place. All the reds don't taste like they smell, which would be interesting if they tasted or smelled good. High acidity and alcohol on the nose makes all these wines undrinkable. This place is an absolute gem that my friends and I stumbled across very randomly. Their whites are wonderful and an incredible value. With my favorites being their Reisling which is goes down quite smooth, their ice wine which at $15 is ridiculously well priced, and the Estate Gewürztraminer which makes a great pairing for thai food. That said, this place is totally out of the way so I would recommend taking them up on their bed and breakfast option because Helmut and Lelo are absolutely delightful host who cook a very tasty bavarian breakfast. Plus the stories they shared with us as well as the lesson in wine tasting was the absolute high light of our trip. Would totally recommend this place to anyone and if you're there you have to pick up a few bottles. Lord knows I did. read more

Agree with the negative postings here. The place does smell, the wines are not very appealing and the help absolutely is the worst. One person in my party had to use the restroom and the matronly looking lady said we had to buy a bottle of wine to use the restroom. If she's the owner then she should learn customer service, if she's just employed there she should be fired. Might have tried the wine if the staff had been more welcoming. read more

I had high hopes for Chateau Bianca when I looked up their website and it looked like nothing but glamour. I pictured myself on the countryside, in my Fall cardigan, sipping a glass of red wine while waving away a dude in a bow-tie trying to offer me fancy Hors d'oeuvres. My friend was the high bidder for a wine tasting package auction at a charity event and invited me to come along. The package boasted several tastes of wine, along with complimentary Hors d'oeuvres on the countryside. Upon arrival I thought that maybe I had mistaken the "chateau" for a double wide trailer. The tour was awkward, musty, gawdy and all around uncomfortable. I felt like I was going on a tour of "Big Jimmy's Garage" where I was "learned" about all his toys and how he could produce wine. The sommelier was friendly, knowledgeable and playful and didn't punch our face when we made obnoxious remarks. The only Hors d'oeuvres were a few stale clam crackers and some chocolate samples that went with the Syrah. Overall, their wines were decent and were offered at a reasonable price. I left with a lovely Syrah and a Reserve Pinot Gris, both outstanding. I would drink Chateau Bianca's wine again, but I would never make it a point to re-visit their tasting room. read more

We had the pleasure of meeting the owner/ winemaker of Chateau Bianca over the weekend. It was so nice to hear all about the vintages and in just getting to know the winemaker in general. Across the board all their wines were perfectly balanced. I usually do not care for whites and was so impressed at their offerings. This really was a hidden gem of a winery. read more

We stopped by Chateau Bianca this morning following a recommendation from my niece and had a great wine tasting experience. Mike was very knowledgable and personable. He shared a lot of information about the characteristics of each vintage. We enjoyed the view and the gift shop as well. We left with five bottles and would come back again for a tour. Not sure what the haters were complaining about. We have been to tastings in many places throughout the region and in other parts of the US; we found Chateau Bianca to be comparable due to Mike's expertise and the variety of offerings. read more

This is my favorite local winery. Great selection of gifty items and of course awesome wine, my favorites being Port, Riesling and Ice wine. We went for their special Mother's Day Brunch and it was absolutely horrible. Not only was the staff not ready and the dining area not set up for 25+ minutes after official opening time (we had made reservations for the first seating available), the food was cold and stale, with the baked goods having been purchased at Costco and reheated. They were completely disorganized, with the owner/manager/whomever getting snippy with me after I questioned them about the temperature of the food. This was one of our worst dining experiences ever. We have been to some lousy restaurants but usually the menu or prices adequately reflect what to expect. We should have gotten up and walked out. read more

I've been to multiple winery's in the area. Chateau Bianca is by far the last on any of my tasting list. The staff is unprofessional and rude. The facility is out dated and looks like a mobile home. The interior is ok, that being said the event room is hideous and in gross need of updating. The staff has little to no knowledge of wine. Showing no professionalism or customer service skills. Now on to the wines, why someone would be pouring a white wine that is oxidized in the the bottle is beyond me. When mentioned I was told that I was wrong (me the customer). Giving the benefit of doubt I tried several others finding that all the whites available for tasting were all either from 2008 or 2009. I being brave at this point tried several reds. Can we say cellar pallet? I begrudgingly paid the tasting fee and did not buy any wine from them. All this being said I would encourage anyone who enjoys wine or the experience of going wine tasting to stay clear of Chateau Bianca or any of there multiple labels they produce. FYI after speaking to several other wine makers and tasting staff it was brought to my attention that Chateau Bianca has a huge turn over rate. I took my wife and three daughters for a Mother's Day brunch. I made reservations in advance and a table was set up and awaiting us. We paid at the counter in the wine tasting room. At $30.00 per person I had very high expectations. The cost of the meal came with one drink ticket. A young man led us to our table and disappeared. We finally asked a young girl clearing another table where to go for our drinks and food. She politely told us where we needed to go. We all retrieved our one drink and proceeded to the buffet. It reminded us of a picnic table set up in a garage. The food was very mediocre and had a value of maybe $6.95 per person. We were all extremely disappointed and would have been happier to have stopped at Sheri's for breakfast. The atmosphere of the place is very unattractive and very unprofessional. One star is actually to high a score for this place. I couldn't apologize enough to my girls. I feel very cheated by the price I paid for this experience. Buyers be ware. We had scheduled a group tasting and tour and our group ended up spending the entire afternoon there! Our timing was perfect because they had started to pick the grapes a bit so we were able to see the de-stemming machine in action as well as take a peek at how fast the grapes start juicing. It is pretty great to see a place like this in action. We learn to appreciate what goes into that bottle! We had food pairings to go along with our wine flight as well and wow, the right flavors with the right wine is perfection. I have found that I don't feel the urge to leave reviews on yelp often, but when I have a bad experience, I feel that I need to share that with others before they waste their time. The wines were actually pretty good depending on your particular taste. There was nothing that stood out as a must have, but with the service as poor as it was, there could have been something else they produce or had on pour that the gentleman behind the counter was just not willing to share. The service is by far the worst I have experienced in Oregon wine country. Rather than talking up their own wines, he spent a lot of time talking down other area wineries in what I assume was an attempt to make theirs look better. Ultimately if you are looking for an enjoyable experience, I would go to one of the 9 other vineyards within a 15 minute drive of this place. Especially if you are new to tasting or just checking out Oregon wine country, You will definitely get a better representation elsewhere. read more

My family and I went for the Mother's Day Brunch. It was awful--staff pleasant but disorganized.. Food unappetizingly displayed, cold, bland tasting. The room we ate in was so cold that we all wore our coats throughout. there had been no attempt to set up tables and chairs--all of that occured upon our arrival. The only good thing about the whole meal was the omelette--it wasn't wonderful, with very uninspired ingredients, but it was warm and pleasantly offered. I would suggest they plan ahead next time and make sure food is more appetizing....not that it matters to me, I won't be back! read more
