I enjoyed the seafood platter with the addition of a lobster tail since it was my birthday. The young men in our group indulged in the all you can eat seafood and chicken buffet. I tried several of the old fashioned cocktails but will revert to my standard one without the addition of cherry and squirt. Interesting take on this though.

I absolutely devoured my food. Husband got the burnt ends burger (can't remember the exact name of the dish) and he says it was perfect. Our waitress was perfect. Thankfully there is creole seasoning on the table along with 3 pepper sauces so you can add the spice which was obviously forgotten. My wife's dish was better seasoned, the chicken with the seafood topping. The place is loud, not a bad thing, just saying. The service was marginal. Had to ask for more water when the glass was empty. They were out of the N/A stout. Will not go back with so many other options in downtown.

The stuffed mushrooms were outstanding--perfectly seasoned, rich, and easily one of the best appetizers I've had in a long time. The chicken Parmesan was just as impressive--crispy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. Beyond the food, the atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the service was top-notch. You can tell they really care about the experience from start to finish. Highly recommend this spot--definitely a place I'll be coming back to.

My husband and I just finished our second dinner here and once again sat there wondering how this level of food is casually happening in our small town. Start with the whipped ricotta (sweet-sour cherry jam, pistachios, mint, warm filone bread). It's the kind of dish that makes the whole table go silent except for the occasional "wow! The stuffed mushrooms with house-made giardiniera (served in a little old-school paper cup) are ridiculous. Then the meatballs. Listen carefully: these are the best meatballs we have ever had. Ever. Tender, moisty as hell, clearly packed with Parmesan or some kind of Italian wizardry. Absolutely absurd. Entrées like the Americano Bianco, chicken vodka parmesan, and the deeply comforting spaghetti alla vodka (find meatballs in this one) all deliver. We still haven't managed to catch the lasagna bolognese because it sells out every night -- apparently you need to arrive before about 6:30 if you want a fighting chance. And dessert? The banana pudding tiramisu is borderline illegal. Bonus detail: the playlist is also tippy tops -- banger after banger that has you swaying in your seat and singing along between bites. La Crosse: PLEASE support this place. Restaurants this creative and special do not show up in small towns very often. If we somehow lose this gem because people stuck with chain restaurants... I will take it personally.

The owners call it "elevated dining" and the prices range from moderate to "elevated" but the quality of the food makes it worth it if you appreciate finer foods. The dishes are creative and delicious. The ambiance is nice but not uppity. For example, they have nice wooden high tops, tables and booths but no table cloths. The service was usually very good and the kitchen has been accommodating with a variety of dietary restrictions. I believe one owner is their primary chef and that his wife/ co-owner manages the restaurant. I must admit, it took me a bit to get over the name of the restaurant, but luckily I did. (Spoiler alert: The owners' dog is the "Big Lady"). We love this establishment and it is truly a wonderful addition to our community!

It's newer and hard to find. If they close on prime sports days and holidays, they aren't going to make it. We gave it 3 shots. It definitely isn't going to be around line many other long term bars.
