Simple and quiet place on Tuesday to watch the Brewers. Nachos were good and fast. Clean. Bartender was nice.

We happened onto this cute bar with food this summer. Then we rode bikes to end up there on a Sunday to watch a game. Lo and behold, it's kind of a sports bar but it's CLOSED on Sunday, which seemed odd for sports themed bar. We checked and they are open Saturdays. We went there today and doors are locked. Some woman in court yard said they are 'closed for painting' until Tuesday. This bar is new. Why would it need painting? Did they just want a long holiday weekend? It's a bar! It's newer and hard to find. If they close on prime sports days and holidays, they aren't going to make it. We gave it 3 shots. It definitely isn't going to be around line many other long term bars. Don't know if we will chance it again. When you are new, you need lots of advertising and liberal hours. read more

Great quaint place. Tower of onion rings are amazing!!! Make sure to bring some friends to help eat them. Wish more people knew about their Monday night bingo, could be a very happening place for that!! read more

I went there tonight to eat...best pork Quesadilla I have ever had!! Meat was soft and juicy and full of flavor!! And the bartender was getting her ass kicked and rocking it out!' She was very fast, attentive, and friendly, great experience!! read more

From what this building was to so many people in La Crosses history, Butch has done a great job of remodeling it. There is a restaurant with good food, many banquet or conference rooms and all wrapped together in a nice area to support local businesses. Stop in for Happy Hour and enjoy live music in the pub. We had a big group of 25, half adults half teenagers. We called ahead to make sure they could accommodate us. When we got there we were seated right away and the waiter and waitress got our drink orders right away. Then a few more small groups came in and our service went down hill. We never got a second round of drinks. We waited over an hour for our food. Kids and adults started to get impatient. When we did get our food it was great. Everything came out as we ordered and everybody was satisfied with the quality. I would recommend the pub for a family or a couple but not a large group unless they were notified well in advance. read more

Very cool use of space. I hope that the rest of this former factory gets remodeled and is full of really nice offices and shops. You can see deer in the fenced-off field if you go in the evenings. The food is standard bar/grill fare, but they have sweet potato fries which is a nice low-glycemic option to french fries, much healthier. I do wish that they had a baked and/or broiled fish option in addition to the fried. read more

My husband and I ate at this restaurant about two years ago. We were very happy with the Friday fish special. We didn't return because of the owner's insistence that we pay our server 18% gratuity when we handed over a coupon from Restaurant.com. We always tip about that to 20%, if service was good, but the boorishness of the owner was a turn off. Tonight, we were the only diners in the dining room. We were early, about 4 pm. I had the broiled fish and fries. My fish was dry and over cooked. The fries were good. They were thick cut, crinkly planks. Very crunchy on the outside and soft and pillowy on the inside. My husband ordered the batter fried fish. The outside was pale and soggy and the inside was raw dough with barely done fish. He ordered the baked potato. It was fine. The service was attentive. They offer a salad bar that had empty, dirty bins. When we asked for refills of the empty bins, we were told that they were out of those things. So why then leave the dirty bins in the salad bar? The fish dinners cost 11.50 each. We won't return to this restaurant. We weren't pleased at all with the food. read more

Very disappointed with food, service and management. Went there for there V-day special: buns were hard, ribs were broken,the soup was similar to a hamburger helper type pasta, and the garlic mashed pot. tasted fake. The waitress brought us our bill without even bringing out the dessert that was suppose to be included in the special. The manager said it was normal for ribs to break when they cook. Did take $7 off the bill after we asked. read more

Went there for the Friday fish special last week. Found the bar to be set up well. There was a guy playing the piano which gave a relaxing ambiance to the bar and dining room. We had both beer batter and broiled fish. The fish was very good with nice size pieces. Fresh cut fries were good with a basic salad bar. Our waitress Danielle was very cordial, and took care of our every need with an upbeat attitude. You could tell she was there to make your meal a pleasant experience. We will be going back soon. read more
