During a time of crisis for our puppy this group was not helpful. Money is a priority. Extremely disappointed with them.

This Vet is worth the trip for excellent pet services at an affordable price. Highly recommended.

He has the best bedside manner of any doctor I know, and will take as much time as needed to explain and answer every question. During the most difficult time when the end of life for a pet is inevitable, the compassion of the entire staff went above and beyond what you would expect from any doctor's office. Although I have moved out of the state, I continue to maintain Dr. Koelmeyer as a close and dear friend.

I've taken my pet toy poodle bichon mix, Cher, to Liberty Animal Clinic for 2 years, since she was…read morea puppy, and I am very impressed with the team. My fur baby has been in great hands at this clinic, Dr. Spencer performed her spaying and she had the tiniest little incision (with a cold laser finish to expedite the healing). The wound was so small I was very impressed and my pet recovered very quickly. They also have trimmed my dog's nails for a small fee and offer grooming. Dr. Brown has administered Cher's vaccinations and has amazing bedside manner with the animals. The vet techs and office staff are also very attentive and caring too. I feel as though the prices are reasonable and that the value for money is excellent (her meds came with rebates sometimes too). Dr. Brown has been a vet since 1968 and has experience with treating exotic animals (I learned this from a side conversation with him). In his private office he has a beautiful McCaw parrot that was found in the parking lot, no owner, and when I asked if the parrot was surrendered he said no, he has wings and chose this spot, he could've gone anywhere--now if that's not a good "animal sense" omen I don't know what is! I learned of Liberty Animal Clinic per a referral from Precious Pups in Edgewater, MD where I purchased Cher. Precious Pups includes a checkup at Liberty Animal Clinic, stool sample inspection, as well as a spay & neutering discount with the purchase of every pet. So I figured I would go to Liberty Animal Clinic (out of my way, not close to where I live) for the service included in my pet purchase, and eventually transfer elsewhere. End story: I was so impressed with the service and care for my pet I continued to go out of my way to have Cher seen by this clinic. I'd also like to add that when Cher needed leg surgery for a luxating patella Dr. Brown gave an excellent recommendation to go to Beltway Surgical Referral. Another GEM like Liberty Animal Clinic.

If you're looking for a more supervised daycare environment, structured play, hands-on one-on-one,…read moreor group training, I would highly recommend them. It's very clear how much the staff knows, and how deeply they care about every single dog that walks through their doors. Over the past few months, this is the fourth daycare we've tried for our dog. The first one we chose to leave. The next two either wouldn't accept her or ultimately asked her not to return. Our dog is an over 80-lb American Bully, and she truly doesn't have an aggressive bone in her body. We started daycare and boarding when she was about 8 months old. At nearly 50 lbs already, she was placed with the large dogs. In this large group play, the challenge wasn't aggression; it was that she was young, playful, and didn't always understand when another dog didn't want to engage. Two facilities told us they couldn't keep her in group play because other dogs would become reactive when she missed social cues and it wasn't safe for them or the dogs. After the second rejection, we reached out to friends and were highly encouraged to try Pet-U-Cation. We were told upfront that the training and care are exceptional, but as a small business with limited overhead and office staff, communication can sometimes require patience (which has also been our experience). Her evaluation went great. After two day-training sessions, she became a regular at daycare, and she absolutely loves it! The growth we've seen in her socialization and ability to read other dogs has been incredible. It's also reinforced the training we're doing at home and helping her overall learning and development (consistency really is key). We love that there is no more coming home from daycare with newly acquired bad habits.

I cannot say enough positive things about this place. Savannah and staff are patient and knowledgeable and I'm forever grateful for their support. I don't know where we'd be without the PUC family.

The website states that there are terf play areas. That is simply not true - none of it. We recently used Happy Tails as a last minute place (our usual dog sitter had to cancel last minute). The communication was not great at all. There was miscommunication about what updates I should be getting (we ended up with 3 over a 10 day stay). I called at least 3 times and it went to voicemail. I left messages and nobody called me back. I only got updates when I called and asked for them. I talked to 3 different people and got 3 different answers as to what kind of updates I should be getting. The only updates we ever got were 2/3 pictures on a "report card". Nothing about her well being or demeanor. When I picked her up she was FILTHY (it would've been another $50 - $70 to get a bath upon pick up). The amount of dirt I washed off of her was disgusting. She had open sores on ALL of her legs from what I assume were pressure sores from laying on the hard cots (not the orthopedic dog beds as the manager states). One of the sores was actively bleeding. A few of her toenails were split. When I questioned what happened they seemed shocked and took pictures and told me they would investigate and call me back by the end of the day.... 3 days later, still waiting to hear. She was exhausted....like wouldn't even open her eyes (and she's a 2.5 year old ACTIVE dog). I understand that its stressful and can be tiring, but she slept from noon until the next morning. For what we paid for our 10 day stay (super expensive) compared to the treatment we received we will never return to this place. I would never recommend this place to anyone. Ever. We will be going another place next time we need someone to take care of our furry family member.
