As outdoorsmen we really need the local hunting and fishing shops to be there when we need them. They have the knowledge and the products to get you on the water with a good idea of what will catch fish. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is because they are still building their inventory but then had a bunch of fishing stuff ready to go on the shelf the day I was there.

You can get a fishing license for 365 days for about 65 bucks or even a one or two day fishing license ( about 21 bucks for one day). In a new town, I go to privately owned tackle shop to get info on where to fish, what to fish for, how to rig up. I drove 45 minutes each way to go to Yuba City Bait and Tackle. Was totally worth it. Rhett knew where the salmon had gotten up to on the Feather River. He told me where to put our float tubes in. I caught (and released) a huge steelhead, which pulled me around in the tube for a while.
