He also knew some hunting guides for hunts in the coast range just east of Willows. His fishing report about East Park and Stony Gorge Reservoirs were really helpful. As outdoorsmen we really need the local hunting and fishing shops to be there when we need them. They have the knowledge and the products to get you on the water with a good idea of what will catch fish. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is because they are still building their inventory but then had a bunch of fishing stuff ready to go on the shelf the day I was there.

They also have guns..ammo..a gunsmith..and so much more. They have hunting clothes and all kinds of outdoor apparel. I wasn't sure what type of pole to get. I didn't give them 5 stars because it felt like a man's place only and I gave up on getting assistance. Only girl inside the store! You can get a fishing license for 365 days for about 65 bucks or even a one or two day fishing license ( about 21 bucks for one day). But he wasn't doing anything. So I went back to the glass case and waited for someone to come over and show me the Rangefinding Binocular, I stood there for over 20 minutes. I never experience anything like this as a customer, because when a customer is waiting at a glass case I'm sure the customer would like to look at something. He showed me a great rig for fishing steelhead in the Feather River. He rigged up one setup for me, and I copied him and did another so I knew how to rig it. In a new town, I go to privately owned tackle shop to get info on where to fish, what to fish for, how to rig up. I drove 45 minutes each way to go to Yuba City Bait and Tackle. Was totally worth it. Rhett knew where the salmon had gotten up to on the Feather River. He told me where to put our float tubes in. I caught (and released) a huge steelhead, which pulled me around in the tube for a while.
