I'm a beginner, but I went with someone who knew what they were doing and helped walk me through everything. What stood out to me was how clear the safety instructions were. The range did a good job making sure everyone understood the rules, which made the environment feel very safe. Overall, it was a fun experience and I'd come back.

I was visiting from out of town (Oakland, CA) and stopped in to shoot. It was a weekend afternoon,…read moreso there was a bit of a wait. All in all, it was worth the wait. The staff were welcoming and friendly. It sounded like they made special accommodations for myself and some other shooters, by opening up the "tactical" range, since there were no members shooting at that time. That was awesome, because it got me on the range sooner. I also brought with me a new firearm - Canik Mete MC9LS with a new optic. I forgot my regular range bag with my tools; however, the range staff allowed me to use one of their tools to adjust my new optic. I don't know how the targets move on the regular range, but on the tactical range, you can push buttons to automatically set the targets at a specified distance, move the targets manually back and forth, and automatically have the target return. Best of all, the prices were very reasonable. $20 per lane and $0.50 targets - WAAAAAY better than prices in the Bay Area. If I were a resident of the area, I'd definitely become a member. (I overheard one of the staff members informing another customer of the benefits and price.). Top Notch outfit in my opinion.

I would often drive by this place, and this place intrigued me so I decided to walk in here today…read moreas I was searching for a DMV kiosk at the local Ralph's. I saw a sign that says to use the back door as an entrance. I was a bit cautious and then I saw these two chihuahua dogs. One of them had a cute little security dog uniform on. There's even little couches for them. I went in and looked around in amazement. I met with Steve, and he told me that the dogs are just part of security and not to worry about them. The dogs aren't vicious, and one of them allowed me to pet them. Steve and I talked about several weapons, and Steve was incredibly knowledgeable on weapons and the laws in the U.S. I told Steve that I have a history of suicidal ideation as an autistic woman, so a gun is probably not the best option for me. He agreed.

I'd like to thank Mike Porsche for helping me out in store…read more I've been a Hunter and fisherman for more than 10 years but every now and then you need some professional help. I went to my local Turners outdoorsman looking for an alternative option for an old Weaver scope on a 1960s Remington model 722 I was able to purchase a vortex triumph for a great deal, but the assistance of Mr. Mike was greatly appreciated because of how difficult it was to fit a brand new aeroscope onto an older style Remington. He was able to quickly assess what we may need for an adapter as well as the hardware needed to mount the scope. He was able to mount the scope to my Remington for me. Same visit. Everyone in store was very helpful. I'd like to thank them.

The 1-star rating comes from my experience at the gun counter to receive my certificate. I waited close to 45 minutes despite the store being almost empty. And during this 45-minute wait, one of the employees behind the gun counter flagged me and another gentleman multiple times while handling a 9mm pistol! This is unacceptable, especially since it was an employee. NEVER point a firearm at anything or anyone you are not willing to destroy, and it does not matter if it was accidental. One of the 4 basic safety rules of handling firearms and a Turner's employee working the gun counter broke that rule. If a manager of Turner's is reading this, please reach out to me. I would love to identify this employee for you.
