Absolutely the best gun store - I drove 16 hours round trip to go to! Of the 4-5 gun stores I have been in Portside is my favorite. The shop has all their inventory and consignments online always updated, they have high-end specialty off-roster stuff you don't normally see, and the store feels more like a lounge with couches, drinks, bar stools, and just good vibes. Reasonable prices and most importantly knowledgable and friendly staff. Full story: I was driving down to LA from Oakland to pick up something that was not on the "magic list" from a private seller and decided I would check out some local shops and try and get another off-roster consignment piece if possible so I felt better about making 4x 7 hour drives. I called 3-4 shops originally looking for a Staccato (some shops refused to give pricing over the phone or online!) and ended up talking to Kevin. Kevin was super knowledgable and although he had a very nice rare Staccato to sell me ended up suggesting I go for an Artemis RDS from Atlas instead, going over the pro/cons and suggesting using calguns.net to find a private seller so I wouldn't have to pay them 11% CA fee + sales tax and instead was really getting a better value for the kind of high-quality bespoke firearm I was craving. I arrived at the shop and Kevin and the other gentleman were awesome and helped me with the private sale in addition to selling me another fun consignment piece - a bronze-colored Desert Eagle. I also got great advice, a wonderful hard case, extra mags and all the other stuff. In the end I was out of the store for less than $10k too. I can't wait to pickup my new firearms in a couple of weeks and take them out to the range for some target practice. read more

Portside Munitions is the pinnacle of firearms retail stores for the Southern California area. I am an Orange County native that has since moved to the south, but Portside is exactly what I had been looking for in a gun store for so long.
