I would often drive by this place, and this place intrigued me so I decided to walk in here today as I was searching for a DMV kiosk at the local Ralph's. I saw a sign that says to use the back door as an entrance. I was a bit cautious and then I saw these two chihuahua dogs. One of them had a cute little security dog uniform on. There's even little couches for them. I went in and looked around in amazement. I met with Steve, and he told me that the dogs are just part of security and not to worry about them. The dogs aren't vicious, and one of them allowed me to pet them. Steve and I talked about several weapons, and Steve was incredibly knowledgeable on weapons and the laws in the U.S. I told Steve that I have a history of suicidal ideation as an autistic woman, so a gun is probably not the best option for me. He agreed. read more

hidden small gem in City of Orange with friendly staff and very helpful as well. Assisted with FFL deliveries

Great place to find some cool consignment, off roster pieces. Always friendly and easy to deal with. Fair pricing and always fresh items.

The staff here was quite helpful in transferring my 9-piece collection on Very short notice. And I will be going there again soon to do the same in reverse. read more

The customer service at Ade's Gun Shop is on a completely different level. Navigating the compliance market as a first-time rifle buyer can be a massive headache but Steve completely eliminated the friction. He is an incredibly knowledgeable guy who patiently walked me through the entire manual of arms and broke down the mechanics of the hardware and easily kept up with the banter between me and my friend. The shop's AR-15 selection might look a bit lean at first glance, but they surprisingly had the exact featureless Springfield Saint I came hunting for. Steve runs an exceptional operation, and he absolutely have me as new regular today. read more

Very helpful and knowledgable staff ! Great place for transfers. Selection of used firearms and a few new. Standard ammo pricing, great place to come to when other places are out of ammo. read more

Outstanding service. Always cordial and professional. In my experience they are the place to handle a firearm transfer. read more

I had a really positive experience shopping at Ade's Gun Shop in Orange. I've always been really impressed with their wide selection of used vintage and antique firearms, all priced very fairly. Just browsing the store is like a fascinating history lesson. But best of all, service was smooth and very fast - I've never been in and out so fast with a firearms purchase (less than 30 minutes for initial order, and also the pickup). I'll definitely be back! read more

Great crew and nice guns, very accommodating. I highly recommend you stop on by. The security guard dogs are actually nice.

Great place! Friendly owner and staff. Kind of old fashioned though, don't expect any interesting things here mostly come here to do PPT transfers. Would recommend if you live in the area. read more

Great experience today at this store. Emily and Steve were really informative and offered a fair and honest offer for antique guns that my grandfather owned. Very honest people and the entire transaction was fast and seamless. read more

Excellent store. Did a gun transfer here a few months and they were friendly and easy to work with. They have a small selection of handguns and rifles as well. I highly recommend them. It was a much better experience than Turners. read more

Glad I called before going. They are only handling pick up orders right now. A drunk driver drove into their shop. It will be a few weeks before things get back to normal. Sad that this happened to them. But looking forward to it. read more

Love this place. I hadn't been in for a while, but when I called them and asked if they were able to do a large PPT (5 guns) after Turners essentially told me to pound sand, they were able to get me in with no appointment. It's a lot of work to do that large of a transfer, and it all went smoothly and about as quickly as it could. I also had a great time browsing their selection of milsurp rifles, and got myself a rifle I've been looking for for a while to continue building my collection. Overall it's so nice to find a store that actually cares about their customers, and has great service and great people working there. I'll definitely be back soon. read more

This is my new first stop when gun shopping. I bought a couple of older guns from Ade's for a great price, and the service was top-notch. They're really knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly, unlike what you'll often find nowadays at a Turner's or an Ammo Bros. They also have a decent supply of ammunition, which has been in short supply everywhere lately. I love the fact, too, that I'm helping a small, woman-owned business. If you're in the market for a gun, especially if you're a newbie, I would wholeheartedly recommend this shop. read more

Came in to look for a 1911 They showed me their options and were helpful And I wound up making a purchase. I had earlier gone to Turners where they acted like I was bothering them and just want you to buy anything and leave- At Ades they are a little more expensive but they are cheerful and will take whatever time you need to understand your purchase and help with the paperwork- It's small, parking very limited about four cars but park down a side street and it's easier getting in and out- If you haven't been in a while, they remodeled and it looks great with a lot more product. Also great if you're a classic gun collector. read more

Steven and the rest of the team are great. They really know there stuff and are easy to work with. I would highly recommend them for any FFL needs. read more

Bought 3 guns here today. Best service. Obviously we need protection with all these crazy phsyco people roaming around

Absolutely one of the best! My preferred place in OC for PPT & gun supplies. Convenient location and excellent service, very friendly and smooth handling comparing with other places, usually get me in and out with all the paper works done within 15 to 20 minutes for PPT! read more

During the Safer at Home era, I purchased a weapon from the owner, Emily. She advised me that it was possible the background check could be delayed for a number of reasons (I purchased late in the day before a Closed day for the business, there's pandemic going on, etc). I understood, no problem. A few days after the expected start of the background check, it had not started. It's a pandemic, you know? Emily was very pleasant about my request for a refund and promptly put a check in the mail to save me the trouble of having to come back. Very impressed. Can't wait to visit again and make a purchase. read more

Professional and friendly, they have a nice selection in store to look/choose from and if they dont have what youre looking for they will easily order it for you. Steve is has heaps of knowledge and will happily teach if you have questions. read more

For a first time gun buyer I must say from the other 2 gun stores I went to turners and flowers this was the most helpful and warm welcoming the staff was not only knowledgeable and made sure I was happy with my purchase then just making a sale they helped me explain the best handgun to buy for first timer and I just barely picked up my piece and still received the best customer service defiantly coming here again read more

Love this store and quick service during COVID-19. I'm surprised that everything is done within a month. Now, just wait to test my Glock 19 at a shooting range. Highly recommend to add them on Facebook for new shipment and updates. read more

Ades Gun Shop - Glock 19OD - Guns & Ammo Near Me - Orange, California

Great people. And a great place to shop if you're looking for something special they will have it!

On 4/20/2020 I took my written test for a gun license. Only been here once but in my experience so far everyone at the shop I've spoken to were friendly. The written test cost 25$ and expire in 5 years. Their gun inventory was lacking due to so many people making purchases. I will return once their inventory has been restocked. Can't wait to get me a nice piece so I can visit a gun range and go pew pew pew. read more

We were looking for a reputable gunseller/buyer. Not knowing anything about one, we perused Yelp and found Ade's. Friendly and knowledgeable. And two cute fur babies to boot! Lol! Give this mother-daughter team your business. You will not regret it! read more

I called ADE's today for information of shipping a rifle out of state. Emily answered immediately. She could not have been any nicer or responsive. She agreed that I could go into the shop right away. When I arrived, Emily was our volunteering, but an equally nice and customer-oriented man helped me out. He made the entire transaction completely painless for me. The fee was entirely appropriate in light of the service level. What a difference from so many other gun shops, where you feel you are a burden to the owners or retail personnel, where the retail personnel often lack knowledge of firearms and ammunition, and where you never get an answer to a call or email! I intend to go back to ADE's as often as possible. If you want excellent service in a friendly and knowledgeable environment, so should you. read more

SUPER helpful and friendly. I had a lot of rifles to sell from my dad's estate, and they processed them all very quickly. I also shipped a couple of rifles and they had the best prices. All around great experience. Highly recommend. Thanks so much, Emily and Steve! read more

Absolutely horrible. As first time gun buyers, they took advantage of my wife and I by selling us a used firearm with holster ware at full msrp just because they knew we were in desperate need of the gun and were totally naive to the whole gun buying process. Ultimately it's our job as the consumer to not overpay or to inspect the gun before purchase but we were totally naive in expecting them to take care of us and not take advantage of us as firsts time gun buyers. If you've purchased firearms before, this place might be ok but, to us, a business' moral integrity and character reigns supreme in deciding on who to shop from and this shop failed miserably on those qualities. I forgot to mention that they said they'd include a box of ammo to help offset the high price they were charging us so when we asked for it before we walked out the door they brought us a 20 round box of an off-brand 9mm ammo that was 85 grain and copper. Not a single round cycled through the 4 pistols we had at the range that day. They'd either jam, not eject or not fire at all. Anyhow, that was a while ago and we've learned a lot since then (and the owners of several more pistols, several AR's and tons of training) and are glad to say that we've found plenty of awesome gun/ammo stores in Orange County and have encouraged numerous new shooters to steer clear of Ade's. Buyer Beware! read more

Great place to shop for home protection and great customer service. Me and my son bought 2 new handguns for a good price and we will be doing our business here from now on. read more

Ade's is the absolute best! They know what they are doing, they are exceptionally friendly and they do everything then can to help you out. Gun shop is awesome and friendly. Good selections with fair pricing. Em is an awesome owner and will go all out for her customers.

I've been looking for a place to purchase my first firearms and would definitely recommend this shop. The shop felt very homey and welcoming. The entrance to the parking at the back of the shop is easily missed when its your first time visiting. I worked mainly with Steve but I also got to meet the owner Emily (and her adorable fur babies), both were super friendly, patient, and knowledgeable. Steve was able to walk me through the entire process and answered all of my questions, made it completely hassle-free. I was able to put the beretta and 308 on layaway and made monthly payments, which was a great option they offered. On the day of picking them up, Steve was able to show me how to properly take both firearms apart and showed me the components that needed to be cleaned. I also picked up extra ammo, magazines, and eyes/ear protection. Will definitely return for more ammo and my future firearm purchases!!! read more
