I'm a big, big fan of these guys. A couple of years back I woke up one morning with a shooting pain going down my back and leg. Then my leg starting getting tingly, then slightly numb. I figured I'd pinched something in my sleep (had a baby under one at the time and sleep wasn't exactly restful). I called and Dr. Mike got me in within the afternoon, worked his magic and sent me home feeling good as new. Fast forward to several months back, early on in my current pregnancy when lower back pain was making it impossible to sit or stand in one place for more than a few min at a time. I'd read that Webster technique can help with this -and getting baby in the heads down position (my first baby was breech), so I booked myself an appointment with Dr. Kyle. All I can say is -- what a difference a single appointment can make! After having back pain since the start of the pregnancy, that first adjustment sent me home feeling glorious, and the subsequent appointments have helped keep me feeling that way! I'll be going throughout the rest of my pregnancy and hope that in addition to keeping me pain free, it also encourages baby #2 to get into the right position for the birth process. This place is awesome! I just went in for my first chiro visit in a few years and i've glad i found this place. First off - they're super pro but do a good job at not being intimidating at all. The lobby thing is nice, clean, has modern and comfy couches - a water cooler etc. It's not a hole in the wall with a cheap chair for you to wait in. Right away you get a feeling that the place is legit. Another awesome part of the experience is that all of the Dr there will greet you, introduce themselves and carry on a friendly conversation with you.... even if you're not their patient. Goes a long way to humanizing the place and making you feel nice and comfortable. My apt was was with Dr Will and went great. We talked about TV, burritos, jazz music etc. He took a bunch of time examining me as well as asking about my lifestyle so he could better understand my situation. I didn't feel rushed at all. He took his time, explained everything he was about to do before performing an adjustment and as scientific as you'd want him to. The whole experience was pro, friendly and awesome. Chiro?!? What?? Seriously?? I'm scared they'll break my back!! Whatever, I gotta do what I gotta do!! I was in a car accident in June 2010. Some dumb twit rear ended my poor baby and smashed it's back into pieces. I guess you can say the effer smashed my back into pieces too because look where I've ended up. LOL, anyways!! Dr. Michael is super gifted. Seriously he's like wham bam, thank you - - sir?? He's uber fast. I'm in and out in about 15 minutes tops. I'm usually hesitant when woman massage me because they usually are so dainty and weak. But girlfriend aint no joke!! She's so good at what she does. And yeah, it hurts like hell when she's workin out my back, but whew!! It's like a good hurt ya know what I mean jelly bean?? Wanna know some other coolness facts about the place?? EVERYBODY and their mamas are so nice here!! All the doctors are very nice, friendly, and approachable. If you leave a message they get back to you SUPER fast. I always recommend chiropractic to my friends when they say they have back or neck problems, and I ALWAYS send them to Dr. Will. Dr. Will has been my chiropractor for 6 years now. He is very knowledge about the body as well as what causes it to be misaligned. One thing he does that is really effective is ultrasound and stim prior to the adjustment. It's a must because I have arthritis in my neck and it won't budge without a little help. If you need a new chiropractor, go see Dr. Will! I came to Westside Chiropractic after a week of severe back pain. After much hesitation to see a chiropractor I gave it a shot. Could not have been more pleased with my experience, from setting up an appointment online, the friendly staff and the tremendous help Dr Ben was. Dr. Mike is amazing! I was skeptical about getting adjusted and my boyfriend kept telling me how good it felt. He wound up making an appointment for me and forcing me to go--it was the best experience ever!! Finding a good chiropractor, for me, is as critical as finding a good mechanic. I can't afford to break down any more than I can afford to have my car break down. Unfortunately, I waited too long after moving to the peninsula to find one and got seized up. Two deep tissue massages over the last month didn't help because I was clearly out of alignment from years of not seeing a chiro. But today, problem solved! I found these guys on Yelp and loved their pictures. They're fun and have a sense of humor. They aren't going to rip me off and do a bunch of stuff I don't need. And I was right. Made an appointment online with any available doctor and saw Dr. Mike first thing this morning. First, he made me laugh my ass off which always makes me feel better. Secondly, though, he really knows his practice. He identified my problem areas, told me how he could make them better and then proceeded to do so. He did a few adjustments I've never had done, to open up my shoulders, and I immediately felt and saw the results. My husband has been going here for awhile. Finally, after a vertigo attack, I went to Dr. Mike. It was awesome. I've had 2 adjustments so far and 1 more scheduled. I have a complicated and unusual medical history. Dr. Mike was patient and understanding. Dr. Mike does some massage work and then manual adjustments (which I prefer over an activator or drop table). After the first visit, I was feeling better. The next day I woke up feeling so MUCH better. Then I saw him again for follow up. My dizzies have calmed down and I'm back at the gym getting exercise. I've been going off and on to chiropractors for years. Honestly, it's been more off than on because I hadn't found anyone as good as my Canadian chiro and I moved away 15 years ago so I was only going when the pain was really bad. I was in some pain from pre-existing stuff and moving weird (sitting down on the couch, how graceful) so I booked an appointment with Dr. Tony. I've never felt more at ease and listened to by a chiropractor. I try to pay attention to my body and Dr. Tony really helped point out warning signs to watch for, bad posture habits to think about (which lead to some of the pain) plus some exercises. I love that there's no secret and he's very open and honest on what he's doing, what his plan is to get me back in tip top shape and how I can help in the healing. He's always available when I need a bit of help getting back in alignment and really cares about my health, not the bill. I've visited several chiropractors and sports therapist in the past and this is the first time I've felt the Dr was totally in sync with my problem and the solution. Background: I've been experiencing sciatica pain in both my right and left legs for over a year now. This pain is due to disc narrowing and mild arthritis in my L4, L5, and S1. The pain has lessened over time, but I still have trouble walking long distances or standing for too long. Review: I saw Dr. Kyle at Westside Chiropractic. Whoa- I can't believe I waited years to feel THIS good. Ive been with a different Chiropractor for at least three years. Same thing , lay on a special table that drops out the bottom when she presses on me. Obviously, we don't know what we don't know- By fluke I came to Westside with a serious back injury- like can't walk for 10 days --suffered for 23! I saw Dr Mike last week and I SWEAR the clouds opened and I not only heard my whole body go back together- I never felt so good after an adjustment. I was popping like bubble wrap! I started seeing Dr Kyle in July after a car accident. I had never been to a chiropractor and not sure if I ever believed in going to one, but was recommended by a friend to get checked out. My first appointment with him, he explained to me what was going on with my back and neck from the accident and the whiplash. He did some measurements for my range in motion and explained to me what he was going to do. He also told me not to worry about any billing, and that they would take care of everything and they would deal with my auto insurance. This was great to hear, since I was already worried about other things from the accident. I saw Dr Kyle over a period of about 2 months and I have to say that he worked wonders. If I ever had tension in a certain area, he could "fix" it. He even got me an appointment with their massage therapist Gloria, for a deep tissue massage. My sessions are complete now from my accident, but I plan on continuing to see Dr Kyle. I can feel the difference it makes it my back and how it will prevent a lot of pain in the future. read more

I hurt my lower back at the start of the new year. At the time, I was presented with 2 options, go to a chiropractor or a physical therapy center. I wasn't too thrilled to go to the PT place that my general practitioner suggested, so I did what most people do, turned to the internet. I found this place on yelp and was able to schedule an appointment the next day. They scheduled me with Dr. Tony (the newest member to join Westside) and we began working on correcting the problems in my lower back. almost 2 months later, I am in a great position. My back is feeling great and the plan that we're using really seems to be working. I don't want to gush, but I couldn't be more happier with this place and Dr. Tony's work. Westside Chiropractic is nothing short of amazing! I feel terrible for not having written my review much earlier, as I have been going here for almost 2 years. Even though I'm a nurse, I was hesitant about receiving chiropractic care. I really should know better; but, unfortunately, there are a lot of stigmas out there with this branch of medicine, and I've heard a few horror stories. My husband has been seeing Dr. Will on and off for several years and referred me here after I had a whiplash injury. Dr. Will was not available the day I called, so I was scheduled with Dr. Mike. When I first met with him, I was honest about my fear and hesitation with chiropractic care. Even though he knew I'm a nurse, he explained chiropractic care to me as he would any other patient, which I appreciated. He listened intently, put my fears at ease, was sympathetic to and validated my concerns, and explained in great depth the how's and why's of my particular injury and what the treatment would consist of. I was highly impressed with his intelligence, overall demeanor, and how quickly he built a rapport with me. After my first session, I felt a remarkable improvement with the range of motion in my neck and a significant decrease in pain. I remember how difficult it was for me to drive to my appointment because I'd pinch a nerve with every turn of my head, and how much easier it was to drive home. I can't remember how many visits I had with him for that injury, but I do recall that I was shocked when he told me my therapy was complete. Due to the stigmas out there, I was completely expecting him to tell me I needed to continue with several more treatments. I've heard for several years that chiropractors are "money hungry", and this is definitely not the case in their practice. Please keep in mind that every person and every injury is different, and the results I experienced will differ from others. However, I do think it's important to know that the practitioners at this clinic seem more concerned with getting you back to your norm, than getting your money. I have nothing negative to say about this clinic. From speaking with a few of them in passing, and working with Dr. Mike, it is clear that all the practitioners here genuinely care about their patients. They even seem so happy with their work you'd expect a skip in their step when they walk! read more

Let me first qualify my opinion a bit here...I have been in: 1 swimming accident, 2 skiing accidents and 8 car accidents over the last 23 years. I've gone the traditional medicine route many times -physical therapy & drugs. But chiropractic has always worked the best for me when healing from such trauma and for maintenance and overall comfort during healthier times. I am also a massage therapist, and worked for a chiropractor for over 5 years. Now for the review... I was referred to Dr. Mike some time ago, but didn't go until I got into a car accident. WHAT WAS I THINKING?! His are the best adjustments I have had in 6 years!! AND he takes the time to warm up your muscles a bit (since and adjustment on cold, stiff muscles is pointless!). He is an awesome chiropractor and sincerely caring and nice guy. I have lived on the peninsula for 6 years, much of that with little or no chiropractic care because I couldn't find anyone that really helped me. He has been helping me and my 4-year-old-son (yes, he is great with kids too!) recover from our injuries...and we will continue to see him after our recovery. He rocks! Kyle is the other chiropractor, and though I have not been adjusted by him I am sure he would not be with Dr. Mike if he were not awesome as well. He is a genuinely sweet and patient guy (thanks for hanging with Ty Kyle!). Gloria, the massage therapist, is great! I've only gotten two massages from her...but they were both awesome. She is clearly well-trained and balances her intuition and knowledge very well. As an injured runner, its nice to have a therapist who truly gives a therapeutic massage. This past year I had been having some back and neck pain and after disappointing treatment from another chiropractor, I found Westside Chiropractic... I made an appt with Dr. Kyle and have had so much relief since. He spent plenty of time with the initial exam doing flexibility and range of motion tests and explained why I was having pain. I am a strong believer in the preventative health benefits of chiropractic care. I worked for a Chiropractor many years ago and received daily adjustments. A few years ago I was going to a different place on the Peninsula and one of the doctors tweaked my lower right back. I felt it immediately and went back several times asking for the area to be fixed, but they couldn't seem to do it. I've been living with this annoying, sometimes painful lower back aching for the last few years, nervous to try a new Chiropractor. Since a friend and I began a 30-day challenge that included leg lifts, the pain started to be too much and I decided to ask some co-workers for referrals. Several said they go to Westside Chiropractic, so I made an appointment. Dr. Ben spent time with me and worked on a couple areas that were extremely knotted and tight, especially my lower back. After a few adjustments, he also gave me some excellent pointers on the safest way to perform the leg lifts which felt like I received a mini training session in addition to the adjustment. :) I went home and iced the area 3 times as directed which felt amazing. I could tell a difference in the pained area immediately...and especially after each icing. I am so grateful to Dr. Ben!!
