But, for me, I just play the temps as a par if I get reasonably close to the temporary green and just allow 2 for putting.

We had our class with Chef Rick and he was absolutely phenomenal. We learned a lot and we got to eat a lot. It was my first time golfing, and we had a great time. The course is definitely challenging but all of the staff made us feel so welcomed and were so kind to us to make sure we had a pleasant experience. The hotel itself is stunning, the decor is really fitting for Texas and the level of service was really good everywhere we went. The food was fabulous and there were a variety of options all on property. The spa was one of my favorite parts and is super Upscale with lots of treatment rooms and amenities. Trick rider I felt was a bit overpriced and unfortunately overwhelmed on Valentine's Day but otherwise we had a lovely experience at the Omni PGA Frisco.

I will say that on arrival I was a little disappointed that the items listed in my preferences (extra pillows and towels, the sleep kit, Get Fit kit, and white noise machine) weren't already in the room, but the experience definitely improved from there. Shoutout to the Black gentleman with the glasses who checked me in late Thursday night and out early Saturday morning and gave me extra driknk tickets without me even asking (I wish I remembered his name), Wendy who delivered my room service and called back to make sure I enjoyed it, Ryan who helped coordinate an event supply drop-off with a colleague, and the blonde woman with glasses who assisted me with collecting everything that evening. Also, the lovely spa staff gave me a quick tour of the space with no hesitation although I did not have a service booked due to time constraints. Thank you to the concierge who loaded everything into my Lyft, the team member who brought the Ulta order I had DoorDashed up to my door when I was too exhausted to grab it, and Rachel and Abraham for sharing all the exciting resort activities, even though I didn't have time to participate. And a special thanks to Diego at Trick Rider, who took wonderful care of me and boxed up some incredible carrot cake that I was too stuffed to eat at the restaurant, along with the manager there. I would absolutely recommend this resort to other solo travelers.

I've been to the Rockwall X Golf a few times, so seemed right to check out the Frisco location too!…read moreThis location is HUGE! It was packed on a rainy Saturday, though, so be sure to reserve a bay in advance. If you're early for your time or want to stay after, there's also cornhole and a full bar to hang at. Same menu as the Rockwall location - lots of cocktails and beer options, plus a pretty large spread of appetizers and food. The fries have the most addicting seasoning!! The giant pretzel is another of my favorites. We played for an hour and I swear it felt like no time at all! The golf is great for all levels - we played a scramble so each player could be set at their own level, and played Turtle Bay. Let's just say I did NOT carry my team...but it was still a blast! X Golf is great for friend groups, date nights, families, beginners, or pros looking for a place to practice when they can't get out to a course. I highly recommend!

It's the same feeling as Top Golf but you ACTUALLY can get better at your golf game with how accurate their SIM is. Not only can you hit the range, you can play 10+ different Tour grade and prestigious courses. The food, is what you expect, but it's not over the top on price and it's not horrible to where you will feel bad for paying. I got the Chicken club and i honestly couldn't even find one thing wrong with it! My buddy had the cheeseburger and both of our plates were gone in the matter of minutes, absolutely bliss. Everyone is super nice, the managers truly care about their job. The servers are always coming around to check on groups, they constantly have rewards and events. It's just an all out good vibe here, this is my second time here and will FOR SURE becoming back. They also have an app you can download (for free) which gives rewards and membership value if you're interested. Top notch guys!

First time here after seeing great reviews for a long time, so expectations were probably higher…read morethan they should've been. My wife and I came in on a Sunday afternoon for a late lunch slash early dinner and overall the experience just left us asking, do we not get it? The vibe is cool and the space itself is nice. We didn't do the golf bays, but they look like the main draw and I can see how that would be fun with the right group. From an atmosphere standpoint, no real complaints. Food is where things fell apart a bit. We both ordered the Local Burger and it was mid at best. The bun completely fell apart and the fries were soggy, which is always disappointing when you're paying for something that's clearly trying to present itself as elevated bar food. It is weird that the menu is so limited. Usually fine with that cause it makes the food that is there much better, but that didn't happen this time. Service didn't help much either. The servers were all in their early 20s and spent a good amount of time texting and loudly talking at the end of the bar. I honestly don't care about that as long as service is still attentive, but that part was missed. Drinks sat empty longer than they should have and it just felt disengaged. Overall, it feels like a place that's trying to be fancier than it actually is. The food doesn't justify the hype and I'm guessing the golf bays are what really make this place worth it. I might come back if a friend wanted to go, but it wouldn't be my pick.

For openers I got a great deal for my group by using Golfnow. And the course actually honored the…read moredeal without any hassle. Upon arriving at the property there were no clear directions on how to find the clubhouse. I ended up stopping at an apartment leasing office (yes, this course has apartments on various holes) for directions to the clubhouse. Once I arrived at the club house I came across a few other golfers who seemed friendly enough. The guy in the pro shop was also friendly and the check in process went smoothly. The Golfnow deal I had included the use driving range (which I was very appreciative of) which was stocked with balls. Considering it is August in Dallas, the course was in decent shape. The only exception to that was the bunkers. The ones I ended up in were in need of sand. Hitting out of them was just short of hitting off of concrete. The greens were in great shape and played very fast. My 'only' issue with this course is my group golfed 18 holes and the only time we saw a cart-girl was at the turn following the 9th hole. Around hole 5 we called the clubhouse and asked if there was a cart girl out. We were told "she's out and should be there shortly. Back to the cart girl.....upon seeing her at the turn we asked her if she was out making the rounds. We mentioned we had played the front 9 and never saw her or anyone else with a cart. Her response with a lot of unnecessary attitude was "I've been busy". No apology, nothing other than "I've been busy". Needless to say we did not make a purchase from her. Instead we went into the clubhouse and grabbed items from the bar where the staff was super friendly. We did not see the cart girl again until we completed the 18th hole. I find it unacceptable that I can golf 18 holes (on a course that claims to have cart girls) and only come across a cart girl at the club house. If you decide to golf here I highly recommend bringing a cooler filled with your drink of choice. Do NOT expect to buy anything on while on the course.
