I also opted for a full bikini wax session, and that lady pressured me to get more hair off more than I had planned for. Green Wave was A MUCH BETTER VIBE!! I was immediately greeted by staff the moment I walked in, and a minute later, my wax technician greeted me and introduced herself as Mariana with a friendly smile. I already started to feel at ease. She gave me an obstetric wipe to use before we got started, which puts me more at ease seeing how careful and meticulous their processes are. I can't say that waxing down there is painless because it's still hurt, but it didn't hurt as bad as my first experience -- I opted for the deep bikini ($35) and she cleaned up very well! She even offered to trim the rest of my hairs. Mariana was very patient with me, even asked if I wanted more hair removed and I did not feel pressured at all! Even after each pull, she applied pressure to dull the pain, and put powder and at the end used a cooling spray. Some of these techniques I noticed were never done in the first place I went to, which was just all pull and pull with no mercy. Because my skin is so sensitive, threading can sometimes be uncomfortable, so I was especially grateful that on my most recent visit, Amy was very gentle and made the experience more comfortable than usual. Recently, Amy wasn't available, so I reluctantly decided to have Humera do my brows, and I'm so glad I did! She was incredibly gentle, careful and precise. Humera and Nazir, who manages the salon, also encouraged me to try brow tinting for the first time. Nazir gave me a small discount to try it and offered suggestions for next time. I loved the results and am so happy to have found someone else there I can completely trust with my threading. Marielena has been doing my hair for years, and she is wonderful! She's incredibly talented and really knows what she's doing. I trust her completely--I can sit in her chair, let her do her thing and know I'll be happy with the results. Mika explained what she was doing as she did the facial and asked how I took care of my face and gave some suggestions. She also massaged my neck and upper shoulders using her hands/knuckles. Wow did that feel great! My face felt tingly and very clean after my facial. She also applied some hyaluronic lip gloss to my lips when she was done.
