John wasn't available, so I was assigned to a new technician. Without my asking, she cut my natural nails extremely short. When I asked her to add extensions to correct it, she left a visible gap between my natural nail and the extension, which concerned me because moisture could become trapped underneath. She suggested filling the gap from underneath with gel, and at that point I no longer felt comfortable letting her continue. I went to the front desk and offered to pay for the work already done. The manager/owner apologized and told me I didn't have to pay. I left with my nails in terrible condition. Three weeks later, I called to book my usual appointment with John and was shocked to be told that I was no longer welcome at the salon. After more than five years as a loyal customer, I find this response extremely disappointing and unprofessional. I did not refuse to pay; I simply stopped a service that I felt was being done incorrectly. Mistakes can happen. What truly defines a business is how they handle them and how they treat a loyal customer when something goes wrong.

The cost of my nails don't match the quality. I got chrome and polka dots and that cost $25 for the design. On their website a builder gel fill is $45 but I somehow got charged $65 for it. I don't mind paying more for nails but the quality is terrible. I have 3 cracked nails already and the shaping is bad. There was no cuticle prep at all and the fill didn't seamlessly merge into my previous gel. Everyone there was nice but the quality of the nail service needs to improve here. Paying $93 for nails that barely lasted me 3 days is a bit ridiculous.

For years, Amy was the only person I trusted with my threading, and the results have always been great. Because my skin is so sensitive, threading can sometimes be uncomfortable, so I was especially grateful that on my most recent visit, Amy was very gentle and made the experience more comfortable than usual.
