Regardless of need, every resident is put in a diaper, as staff can take up to an hour to respond to call lights--even for basic restroom assistance. By the end of the hallway on the second floor, there was a strong odor of urine. Despite being fully mobile and independent before arriving, my uncle was often put back in bed after lunch instead of being encouraged to walk, simply due to a lack of available staff. The staff also shamed him into submission of never leaving the wheelchair even when he wanted to walk with a walker or visit another area. When we raised concerns about Nurse Sarah on the second floor, the administrator refused to take my call. If you're considering this facility for a loved one, think twice. The lack of staffing and poor care standards make it a place to avoid.

During mid November 2023, Dr. McCrackan adjusted my left foot many times. That very same day he had someone from his office call me and cancel future appointments until I had a reevaluation. The reevaluation occurred two weeks later, and he told me that I "was too messed up below the knees for him to work on, that it would take a long time to rehab my foot, and that he would only work on my back moving forward." My physical therapist discovered that my left heel was displaced to the left and that there appeared to be some disjointment in the foot. I am continuing to work on rehabbing the foot in physical therapy. Dr. McCrackan had also referred me to his associate for an orthotic fitting.I was instructed to break in the orthotics according to a certain schedule. Attempting to do this with an injured foot appears to have exacerbated my injury. Dr. McCrackan had not communicated my injury to Dr. Fergus prior to my orthotic fitting. Their website states that the average cost for a 30 minute appointment is between 88 -150 dollars. A number of my charges were over $200. I was charged $50 and more for one PT exercise. Reviews were solicited early on in treatment. The responses to my complaints about my injury and about the charges seemed defensive and uncaring about both concerns. I regret having sought treatment at Cornerstone.

The residents here are treated as human beings and not just left in bed. There are activities, a cafeteria for meals. In the cafeteria, the residents are matched so that relationships can form. Roommates are matched for compatibility. (My dad and his roommate are so courteous to each other that neither goes into the bathroom unless he has checked to see if the other one needs to go first). We had heard good things about this residence and it has proven to be everything we had hoped for for our father. There has never been a time when we, as his family, has reached out to staff, that we have not had thorough and meaningful communications about my father - from the CNAs to the chief administrator.

Buckingham is What a Nursing Home is Supposed to Be!…read more When it came time to find a nursing home for my father, I was deeply worried that my Dad's new home wouldn't be sufficiently caring, clean, comfortable or professionally operated. So, I researched well over a hundred nursing homes across Chicago and the suburbs. I am so glad that exhaustive search enabled me to find Buckingham Pavilion! Everyone was caring, understanding, patient and attentive to my Dad's needs. This was true of everyone on the team from the receptionists to the nurses, to the escorts, to the maintenance staff. I was never given any reason to worry about my Dad's level or care or comfort. During my many visits, I saw that he, and the other residents, were happy at Buckingham. Also, my Dad's room, the dining room and all the community spaces were always kept clean and the residents' room were significantly more spacious than at other homes. To top it off, one of the owners I frequently checked in with is not only caring, communicative and professional, but a person of great integrity. I could not be more thankful for everything that everyone at Buckingham did for my Dad and my family.

After purchasing my mom an outfit with extra pair of slacks and using gorilla tape that my 1st cousin was helpful in labeling her clothes, the help stole entire outfit. A friend of the family was on the list to take my mom to the Webster Dental and he phoned Mr while I was at work livid that the Lieberman would not allow him to take my mom and naturally her tooth got infected! Pain and suffering. This friend is like a mom and he is like her son since my brother is deceased. This way she could have enjoyed his company too. He goes back 40 years with my family. When my daughter came in for a visit her portable wheel chair gone so she had to somehow put the standard size in my trunk. Now she passed 1/15/24 and they keep sending bills. The 1st one 1800 and now 3800. My mom is teased so this is why you are getting a right up! They also opened up a credit card in her name. Wtf. The nurse Christina would always avoid me and when I called she never pu or returned my call. Way to go! She would pu the phone everything I walked toward her office. I would like an investigation to all her property that went missing. She fell one time and fractured her ribs so she was sent to Glenbrook hosp. I spent many days sitting and spending time with my mom. On 1/16/24 6pm I came to pu my mom's personal affects and they said Robert's gone for the day Wtf I came the following day so once again they must have been going thru her things. I called the Skokie Police for a theft report and mysteriously Robert turned up and I retrieved my mom's belongings. I'm sorry mom for putting you in this Hell hole but you could no longer take care of yourself! I miss you mom! Lieberman stop sending my mom anymore bills since you obviously no she is dead and you got all her money, Social Security checks, all the money you made for sending out countless bills to keep everything in house.
