Even towards closing because of bad traffic he was able to let me try out different hole sizes and he even analyzed my bowling technique to figure out how to best accommodate me. They have this mock lane that they let you throw into it's kinda cool. They were able to do same day fitting, drilling and the grip for the finger holes. My boyfriend and I visited Westminster Bowling Supply to look for a specific bowling ball he wanted and to ask about JoPo inserts. When we walked in, we were greeted right away, and two of the three employees working there were very friendly and helpful. However, the main person there (who I believe may have been the owner) did not come across as very welcoming. He was assisting another customer and seemed friendly with him, but when my boyfriend asked him a few questions, his responses were very short and didn't feel very helpful. At one point he approached me and asked if I was looking for something specific. I told him I was just browsing, and he proceeded to stand there and stare at me, which made me feel extremely uncomfortable. Because of that, I decided to leave the store. To be fair, they do have a decent selection of bowling balls, and one of the employees mentioned that the owner can order certain balls if they aren't currently in stock. However, from what we saw while shopping around at several pro shops, their prices seemed to be on the higher end compared to other places. Unfortunately, because of how uncomfortable the interaction felt and the higher pricing, I personally would not recommend this shop. read more

I got my bowling stuff stolen, so I went here because they have done me well for drilling before. This is my fault, but I needed shoes desperately... they didn't have much but the guy came out with some Hammer Blades... seemed nice enough. Asked him how much... he said I sell for $215 but I will do it for $190 for you. Just checked online... these shoes are selling for $120 on all sites. Bought a used ball from Jaime and his son about 3 months ago the ball felt good but they told me if it needed to be readjusted to bring it back and then would do it no problem it didn't seem to work out for me they had to do an adjustment with one of the inserts and they did not charge me anything because they told me any adjustments would be free when I bought the ball being 2 months later I thought they wouldn't even remember my face but they were honest very helpful and gave me lots of tips would definitely buy more bowling supplies from Westminster Bowling Supply customer service was excellent read more

Today we went into this store and this old man with black hair was so rude and unprofessionalism, he accused my son of walking around with white worn shoes. This is the 2nd time My son has a difficult time choosing his own style of ball, shoes. So we confronted this man trying to sell used worn shoes to my son. The older gentleman Javier, was kind, honest and knowledgeable. And he, along with his son answered all our questions and believe me we had a lot of them. But what I liked the most is that they sold me exactly what I wanted and didn't try to sell me something I didn't want. They happily fulfilled my request and politely offered their advice, nothing more. I like how they respected the direction I wanted go with my equipment. They both were very helpful excellent customer service the stores great selection of bowling balls accessories a few bowling shirts. Once you have chosen your bowling balls if you have to special order them they come in in a few days or if he has them in the shop they can drill the holes and they have a little practice lane for you to try out to make sure the whole state drill are comfortable and you're comfortable with your purchase. Incredible purchase experience for my wife! The store expedited a white Storm Mix bowling ball right before Mother's Day. On Sat 5/13/2023, Jon (bowling expert technician) prepared a 12lb, 13lb and 14lb ball and we decided on the 13. He accurately measured the span of her hand and used a commercial drill press for the custom fit. Do not try at home...go to a professional to do all this. The store has a built in lane for demonstration and Jon engraved her nickname on the ball with a variety of different colorways. Super affordable and amazing service. 5/5 read more

Been coming to Jonathan at Westminster bowling supplies for about a year and a half now. Jonathan is very friendly and knowledgeable and willing to talk to you about bowling equipment. Has drilled several of my balls and my teammates in the last year and a half and nobody has had any complaints on either the time it took or the final product. Butch is one amazing bowling pro and owns this store and knows what he is doing. I am a new bowler and I was referred here and drove from Laguna Hills. He takes the time to explain to each and every customer about what you want or desire. I bought a bowling ball from him and he custom drills the holes to your fingers. Your regular bowling ball is now custom fit just for you. It will help you bowl better and the ball will actually feel lighter. I also bought a Robby's wrist splint since I have carpal tunnel. Please be patient when coming here. He runs the store by himself and gets very busy because of word of mouth. Trust me this is the store you want to come too. A+ in customer service. PLEASE READ: WARNING!!! My wife knew I was in the market for a new bowling ball and so she did some research and got me a gift certificate to "The Ball Doctor". I went in on a Friday and spent nearly two hours working with Butch. We found a ball that I liked, went through the fitting process, drilled it, tried it on the lanes next door, etc. I spent about $300 on the ball and a bag when all was said and done. I used the ball twice and went to open my bag before leaving the house before my third trip and found the ball was cracked. I was pretty disappointed and upset, as I had just bought the ball a few weeks before. I called Butch and he told me the ball had cracked because I left it in my trunk in the heat. I explained to him the ball was in my spare bedroom and not in my car. He said to bring the ball in and he would see what he could do. I made the hour long trip last weekend and he basically told me I was SOL. I told him the ball couldn't have cracked from the heat and he basically called me a liar. I asked him if the ball had a warranty and he said no and that the company wouldn't help me. I asked him if I was basically out the $250 and he said yes. I didn't feel like making a scene, so I just left. I went home and emailed the company that made my ball. Butch told me not to bother and they wouldn't help me. I broke down what happened in an email and they got back to me within 24 hours and offered to replace my ball. They also said that if Butch had bothered to pick up the phone, they would have replaced it through him directly. They recommended I don't do business with him in the future I will never spend another $ in this store and you shouldn't either. Butch seemed like a nice helpful guy... as long as you were spending wads of cash in his store. Don't go here!!!! read more

It looks like the previous owner retired and a new owner took over. The new owner is terrible and tries to rip you off. The prices on the bowling balls are much higher than any other pro shop around. The customer service is terrible. You would expect the service to be better if you are paying a little extra to the ball. I ended up buying a spare ball there. I asked for finger inserts to the ball when I first bought it. The owner told me the finger inserts are included with the initial price of the ball. The owner leaves and has another man drill the ball for me. He tells me that the owner told him no finger inserts. I come back the next day and I asked for the finger inserts. The two men were horrible at the quality of the drilling and glueing of the inserts. They placed the finger inserts too low and left glue all over the ball. He didn't clean up the ball at all. After he finished with the inserts, the owner tried to charge me for these. I told him that he said the finger inserts are included with the purchase of the ball. He was definitely trying to pocket more money out of me. I highly recommend you look for an alternate bowling pro shop. Their prices, customer services, and quality is horrendous. Please save yourself some time and avoid this place. read more

The new business owner is shady, rips people off and keep your bowling ball hostage. I came here a couple weeks ago to purchase my first bowling ball. I had a bad feeling, as soon as I walked in, about purchasing my bowling ball from this business. I was given a price when I ordered the bowling ball, and then when I picked it up the next day, and went to pay for it, the owner raised the price. I asked why is the price higher and he said he made a mistake the other day. I went ahead and continued with the purchase. What a mistake! I was told at the time of purchase, to try the ball and if there's a problem to bring it back and they'll fix it. I played a few games with the ball and the fingers are too tight. I brought the ball back once and they made a slight adjustment. I was told to give it a try and come back if it still doesn't work. I gave it another go and the holes where too tight and hurting my fingers. I brought the ball back the next day, the owner had an attitude, I told him the ball still hurts my hand and fingers it's not right. I told him I would leave the ball so they can fix it, to give me a receipt that shows I left it. He got made and said why do I need to give you a receipt, just leave it, I won't keep your ball. I replied back I need a receipt, I don't want to come back and say I didn't leave a ball. He got made and wouldn't give me a receipt nor fix the ball the ball anymore. So I told him, If he doesn't want to fix it, give me a refund and keep the ball. I told him that's fine give me the ball and I will file a claim with my credit card company. The owner got really made and loud with me. He then took my ball to the back of the counter and wouldn't give it back. Ultimately, I had to call the cops, and have them get my ball back from the owner. This new owner doesn't know how to take care of customers and provides horrible customer service. I wouldn't recommend buying anything from this guy. Now on the other hand, the older gentleman who helps fix the balls, is a really nice guy. read more

Bowled my best series at league right after visiting this shop. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! I was referred to Jonathan from my teammate but was never able to catch him. My first two bowling balls were drilled at fountain bowl and I didn't like. For my 3rd ball (proton physics) I was finally able to speak with Jonathan and let me tell you the experience was top notch. He was asking me a lot about how I throw, my rev rate, speed, and etc to figure out what layout would be the best for me. One thing I appreciated that he did that fountain bowl didn't is that he took me to the lanes to analyze how I bowled. We figured out of axis, rev rate, and etc. The biggest thing he pointed out was that I was a full rotation bowler and gave me tips on how to fix my swing/release for a better shot. Got the ball drilled and Jonathan told me to send videos of me throwing it later at league to see how it is. I go on to bowl my best series at league ever (170, 185, 215) and I was trying out / getting used to a new way of bowling that Jonathan suggested. I was a loft bowler before averaging 160. Jonathan is a knowledgeable guy overall and I had a great overall experience. Definitely earn my business going forward and will be recommending him too read more
