I went here just as the lockdown took effect, and am glad I found it on the New York State Brewer's Association app. The location was easy to find, just off the highway. The owner was a gentleman, and helped me find just the right beer, which turned out to be the Irish Coffee Stout. I'll be back. I hope they stay open.

Beer here! Craving some hops straight from the source, already out on or near the south fork, with zero desire to battle Montauk traffic? Welcome to Westhampton Beach Brewing Company. The space and location are great. Located as close as you can get to FOK without actually ending up on the runway, there's plenty of seating inside and outside. Each table has some sort of game on it, there's live music and/or the opportunity for live music inside, with cornhole outside. But those are all just bonus items - beer time. Each of us had a tasting, which comes in a very cool carrying plank affording you the ability to walk around from bar to table to outside to inside to bar without worrying about spilling or having to take multiple trips. The beers? I really liked what we tasted. The Hampton Pumpkin, complete with cinnamon sugar rim, was excellent. Not as inherently sweet as some pumpkin beers can be, the rim added that welcome hint sweetness that reminds you that fall is here...and the days are getting shorter and swimming is gone and the beach is cold and snow is coming and pants are coming back and your tan is leaving and it's only going to get colder...but on the flip side, the air is crisp and fires are good and the holidays are coming... Apparently, the Hampton Pumpkin really makes you think about the seasons. Surprise of the night - the stout. Neither of us are avid Stout drinkers, but this one was exceptionally smooth and creamy. Definitely worth trying. Others worth mentioning and trying - IPA, IPA, Blonde. There was only one we didn't like as much and the name escapes me, but I do remember it was one of the lightest ones available. If you're in the area, or just need a pit stop before getting to Montauk (some beer before your beer) WHB Brewing is definitely worth checking out.

Hmm, my hoppy senses are tingling. There appears to be a new brewery open in Westhampton Beach. Armed with my trusty beer sidekicks, we ventured off a couple of weekends ago to fight against the evil doers....or maybe it was to drink good craft beer... Beer! That was the one, yeah. Truly, there's no need to fret because the slogan of Westhampton Beach Brewing Company is "Everyday's a beach day." If that won't put you in a laid back mood then perhaps the chill music and comfy setting will. Not so much a beach-y feel inside as it's more of a contemporary setup with nods to vintage vehicles. We were still diggin' it. Exactly at opening (or maybe a couple minutes before because the guy behind the bar let us enter), we strolled in and went for a few flights and a pint. Between the three beer drinkers, we were able to grab a taste of all seven suds and began our duty to sip and study. Here's a rundown: Westhampton Beach Blonde: A smooth and semi-crisp brew that lives up to the title of being blonde and fitting in for the summer months. Strawberry Blonde: Arguably better than its counterpart in this beer style with nice notes of strawberries from first sip to the taste left in your mouth. Thom's Elbow IPA: A respectable IPA with some decent hop notes through Cascade and Amarillo that lend to a slightly more subtle palate sip. Hurricane IPA: Probably my least favorite of the group though still full of quality. A little more hoppy with a stronger attack on the bitter landscape. Gabby P-47 Ale: One of favorites as it was smooth and malty with enough flavor to warrant a full pint. Jetty 4 Lager: Honestly, I had one quick sip of this guy and I can't say I remember him too much outside of a light and mildly hoppy finish. Perhaps one to try again next time? Irish Cream Stout: Though my recent beer taste buds have been evolving, a good stout is still a hard beer to beat. Definitely the best of the group with a super milky/creamy taste that results in a desire for more, and maybe a bit of buzz by the end with its 8.86% ABV. Overall, from what you (hopefully) read through, you can see that Westhampton Beach Brewing Company is a quality new beer spot. Nothing was necessarily mind-blowing, but the beers were respectably crafted and you get that from the tastes of each one. So next time you're driving along the south fork, if you find yourself near Westhampton Beach and you feel that hop sense tingle, you know you need to stop here.

Another great visit to WHB Brewery. Kevin the bartender was a great help with ordering our beer. He knows his product. The brewery is located in the commercial park at the West Hampton Beach Airport. There is plenty of space to enjoy your beer and a very nice selection.

This is actually not a pub or a bar, but rather a tasting room. I believe the owners are also involved with some vineyards at here on the East End, and they applied that tasting room concept to a brewery. The beers are solid, always rotating. The stout is the standout -- worthy as a dessert topping, it's creamy and sweet with an 8%+ ABV kick. Inviting venue albeit tucked away in an industrial park. They periodically have live bands and, at one point, I know they were talking about hosting food trucks. This would be a particularly good venue to host a group of 20-40 guests. Hours don't run that long and I'd suggest more in-site food. Maybe a couple of TVs for sports. But otherwise, a nice, upscale alternative for the WHB area.

I'm really excited for these guys. For a brewery that's just starting up, they have some very solid stuff. I really enjoyed their stout. It reminds me of Swiss miss marshmallows. The space is huuuuge! And very welcoming. Perfect spot to hang out, despite the location being a little awkward. I hope there are some outdoor food trucks in their near future.

    Suzanne F.

So a great space with lots of inside and outside space to hang and listen to music on a Saturday. Friendly owner Brian and bartender David. Really enjoyed the strawberry blonde and stout. Games to play and plenty of seating. Thanks for a fun afternoon. Bonus they are dog friendly.

Even at 5.5 months sober (pregnant) I'm still checking out new brews and this one is at the top of my list to try once I'm able to kick back with a cold one. Sadly, it's not close to the beach or anything but it is in a newly constructed industrial park which is actually quiet and near the airport so you see little planes taking off here and there. I loved the inside of this place, very clean and spacious. There are a good amount of tables both inside and outside so you can enjoy some fresh air with some fresh beers. The fiancée did a flight, as per my recommendation, and said they were all real tasty. I had a teeenny sip of the stout and my god, yum! It packed a punch at 8.6% as did both of the other IPA's being over 6%. One of the owners Brain came over for a quick chat which I thought was really nice and told us a little about the place. We really enjoyed our visit here and will most certainly be back. If you want a change of pace and want to try a new place, head over to Westhampton Brewing!

I feel like the beer and experience get a little better every time I stop in. I went early into their tenure, and things were fine, but between some warm pours and a few things being kicked, it was a little forgettable. Luckily, with age comes experience. The draft beers are tasting a lot more equivalent to what the cans are producing, and they are always well stocked, even having Crowlers ready to go alongside the canned beer and growlers. What I'm saying is...the whole operation has hit their stride and the product and experience is all really great. Not to mention the always stellar service. A needed commodity on the south fork that is really short on craft breweries. Admittedly, the acoustics in the tasting room make it reallllllly loud, but this is a business worth your support!

Nothing better on a cool fall day to have a cold crisp pumpkin from Westhampton Brewery

By far the best pumpkin beer I ever had. Great taste excellent finish. Smooth yet complex outstanding flavors Ladies & gentlemen this is The Real McCoy

Great local brewery! Sunny tasting room and a wide variety of beer. Strawberry Ale is tops. Get two flights, taste the whole menu, and find your favorite for yourself. Perfect after-beach stop! Or maybe I'm a little drunk :p Cheers!

It was the same beer called devolve. I liked the beer it was light with a nice fruity taste. Northfork looks like they set up shop in a garage which is pretty cool, they designed it well but I wonder how they stay open in the winter. I did like the atmosphere of nice fresh air coming in from outside. I liked North Fork definitely a good brewery to check out!

Super nice and approachable, let us sample anything we wanted. I went with a flight to start out with since there was a nice variety of options. I'm not an IPA person, so I opted for a peach sour, a pilsner, a wheat beer and one wild card that was bitter but in a good way. I love a good sour and had to get a second glass of the peach beer after my flight. Prices are reasonable, flights are around $12 for four pours, and a draft beer is $9. They also have cans to go if there's a beer you fall in love with and want to take home with you. They have a rotating food truck out back (it was Greek food when we came here) and also had a few empanadas. We did the three for $13 and got a variety. Our bartender accommodated us by leaving the black bean one on a separate plate since one of us don't eat meat. Ambiance here is chill and laid back, there are several games you can play and there was live music you could hear playing from next door at Montauk Distilling Co. which was a nice touch. A solid place to spend a nice Sunday - I was honestly surprised they weren't packed.

What really impresses me more than any beer writing is probably the last time I was actually blown away by a brewery. Luckily, I can tell you that Moriches Field Brewing Company has taken that honor. I visited with my fiancée and her family just last week with fantastic results. This relatively new brew spot revamped an old plane hanger and turned it into something special. The setup, decor of airplane pics, and logo all give homage to local aerial travel which creates a fun and unique vibe. It felt like a brewery which is perfect, though it didn't have a rowdy or loud feeling (and that was ideal). Some beer havens these days get a little too crowded (LIFB?), but on this midday Sunday time, the place was totally chill. What was also chill were the friendly employees and of course, the beer! One of the staff members behind the bar semi-helped me in going through a few brew choices as I attempted to figure out what I wanted for a flight (three 5oz pours). It was incredibly impressive to see their beer board with room for upwards of 15 beers. They only (I say that word loosely) had 11 on tap, but I mean that's often more than two or three microbreweries put together! Their guest taps of a Macari wine and a cider from the Best of LI award winning Po'Boy Brewery just added to the positives, especially when my mostly-non-beer-drinking soon-to-be in-laws (and wife) ordered that cider for themselves (and loved it!). For me, we'll get back to the beer. Of those 11 choices, I went with More Riches IPA, Festive Trickster (a festbier), and the Creamsicle Cream Ale. Tasting them in the opposite order I listed, Creamsicle was outstanding. It truly had a creamy consistency with wonderful orange and vanilla hints (I got a crowler of this before departing). But honestly I could've gotten a crowler of the other two as well. Festive Trickster had just the right zing of flavor from the yeast while More Riches had the perfect subtle hoppy bite while still finishing smooth. I was so tempted to get another flight of three to try their other potentially sensational suds, but alas, we had other plans on hand that day. All the more reason to return soon! Overall, there's really nothing negative I can say about Moriches Field Brewing Company (well, maybe just a note somewhere on flights and pricing perhaps?). They have a welcoming setup with friendly workers and (most importantly) a packed lineup of delicious beers. I can't wait until my next trip out there to load on the positives pics to this blown away-worthy five star write up.

Yeah I know we're still living in the Covid times, but grab that mask, squeeze on some sanitizer, and social distance your way over to Tradewinds Brewing in Riverhead. I did just that with my female counterpart a little more than a month ago. And that's why I'm flabbergasted! Tradewinds still has no posted reviews and that's a shame (because they're a pretty respectable brewery). Maybe it's the fact that many might not even realize that in a short chunk of time, Tradewinds morphed into existence from Crooked Ladder Brewing. It's the same spot and the same look, style, and feel, but don't expect the same beers. Well, don't expect the same employees either. I say that in a positive manner because when we strolled in the guy behind the bar was amazingly nice. Without asking, he explained everything on tap and even offered to open up a can of something not available via draft. The friendly interaction really set the mood for our brief time there, even if we were seated out on West Main Street at one of the tables setup along the sidewalk. Okay, beer time. No flights were available from what I gathered (at least at that time) plus I was the driver of the day so I went with just one pint. A few IPAs, a light lager, a hefeweizen, smoked maple stout, and one other (we'll get to him in a second) made up the menu. From the aforementioned employee's description of the beers, I went for HopShip, a New England style IPA with just enough subtle hoppy bite to work well on the palate and hit the proverbial spot on a warm September day. Honestly I might've skipped the review (perhaps like others?) if I had stopped at just this pint, but I did actually come with other drinkable thoughts in mind...that last beer I left out was actually Tradewinds' own pumpkin ale by the name of Incarnation. Instead of trying it there, I took the chance (which I don't normally don't) and bout a reasonably-priced four pack of this brew. Cans to go is always a plus, by the way. The next night, despite my own chagrin of saying I wouldn't drink anything pumpkin related until after Labor Day (it was two days prior), I popped a can and poured one out into a glass. Maybe my expectations were super high, but Incarnation didn't entirely hold the embodiment (pun intended) of a pumpkin beer I hoped for. Better than many basic ones, but not of the upper gourd echelon. I still have a few cans remaining to see if that changes. Time will tell. Overall, if I take the Untapped scores of the two beers I tried and average them out, I'd get a total that's close to four, and so that seems about right for Tradewinds on star total. I mean they have a lot of promise to be something spectacular. With a great location in the heart of Riverhead, super friendly staff, and a handful of beers that seem like they're trending in a decent direction, I'd say five stars is certainly (eventually) possible. Hopefully the word gets out (at least after this review) because I want to see someone else type up their opinion. Let's go Yelp fam. Drink up!
