I miss read their hours on the website. I thought they were opened today. When we got there, they were having a staff meeting but they insisted that we have a beer on them! Wow really?! Very nice for my first time stopping by I usually go to greenport brewery but was in the area and wanted to try something new.The garden is so lovely and relaxing so much quieter than greenport.The only thing that is different is that they only serve chips and greenport has food and more beer options.I would come back with friends as it has a more secluded atmosphere to it than greenport and you can really have a conversation with the people you come with without having to talk over the other person because it is hard to hear the other person at times at Greenport brewery because it gets really noisy and is always crowded and hard to find seating which you do not have to worry about here at all. read more

Cute spot! I feel like it's a hidden gem. The beer selection is small but the atmosphere makes up for it. It's walking distance to Love Lane. They have plentiful outdoor seating. It's great for a sunny day. The staff is very friendly too. read more

This was a very fun craft brewery. Although they only offer 5 beer selections, all 5 of the choices were great. I tried the beer flight of all 5 to start my night. My favorites of the five were the Ill Be Bock and Love Lane Lager. So, I wound up getting a glass of each of these as well. One of the choice was also called a Sexy MF, which was a funny name, and a dark beer. There wasn't alot of people in here, but I love it like that, so I was able to enjoy the space with everyone I was with here. We even went across the street to grab some donuts with out beers, and there was no issues. We took lots of photos and sat back and enjoyed some good tasting craft beers. I regret not taking pictures of the gardens here. If you go please walk through the grass on your bare feet as suggested and enjoy a fantastic beer! I had contacted the owner about bringing my dog Bella with us as we had sailed to Mattituck from CT. They got right back to me and I was was told she was more than welcome. So if you are looking for a place to hang with your well behaved four legged best friend... this is certainly it. The beer was great. The Red was probably my favorite of the group. It was nice to see a brewery not trying to make a million IPA style beers. The owner also collaborated to make a beer with other female brewers and the proceeds get donated. The owner stopped over to check on Bella and see how we were and was very kind. We got a tour or the fantastic garden and some great things to also check out while we were visiting the area. I've been to many a brew pub and tap room around the the Northeast, lived 6 months in London back in the late 80's before Bud Light took over the world, I've put away more pints you could bounce a half barrel off of and I truly adore this spot in the center of Mattituck that we just happened upon this spring when traveling for a funeral. Doug is a traditional brewer that fell in love with with German beers he drank while serving our country in the heart of Europe, (on the eastern front- get it??) Naturally he now brews traditional European beer- that means no weird unfinished sours, nothing with heavy fruit: They have real beer here: Miami Weiss is a wonderfully sublime classic German wheat. Autonomous Double IPA is a high gravity beer drinkers dream. The Altbier is a true top fermented Düsseldorf clone that is amazing. The TapHouse and the gardens have been meticulously decorated and planted by lifelong Cutchogue native Christina, Dave's partner in life and beer. She along with Doug, have created a unique space in Mattituck, that is a MUST stop and see and drink. How would I know all this? Because Doug and Christina are on site owners- and you will see them at the TapHouse any day you visit! EASTERN FRONT is also a fantastic Live Music venue several nights a week and is also a dog friendly bar- you may even get to meet Bob Barley, Christina and Doug's pup! Absolutely awful beer. We drank the Lager and Pale Ale, which had no flavor and tasted like soap. This is our second time here and we were really hoping this establishment being open for several years they'd figure out how to make tasty beer. Unfortunately, they put all their effort on decor and ambiance, rather than the product itself. Nevertheless, great location, very friendly staff! To the owners of this location, please hire a real brewer and you'll have a dynamite brewery. read more

On their way to 5 stars! Still brand new, small but cozy layout. They have 5 beers on tap, I only tried one but I just stopped in to get the ball rolling. The beer was very delicious, I think they called it a Love Lane. Once they either pave or gravel the parking lot & get some 2XL tee shirts I'm most certainly going to bump them up to 5 stars. Eastern Front Brewing is the brewery feel I've been looking for since Blue Point got bought out and moved! Set quietly in Mattituck and sinfully across the street from NoFoDoCo, this place is the perfect spot to grab a beer while you're cruising around out East. The inside is small but with enough space to hang at the bar or sit. There's a stage area inside for live music which they have on the weekends. The small patio area outside has a handful of beautiful Adirondack chairs where you can soak up some sun and chat with friends. There's also a lawn area which was nice to bring a blanket and hang outside. The beers here are pretty good, I've tried the IPA and the Belgian. There's only 5 on tap so I think in the future they will have more of a selection but for now I think they offer a lager, pale ale, IPA, Belgian and one I don't recall. The owner and staff are all extremely nice, friendly, knowledgeable about what they're serving, and helpful with allowing you to taste if you're not sure. Love this place - pay them a visit! Stopped in for the first time the other day. The beer was good and they have a few different styles of beer to choose from. Only had one beer as I was the driver, so I can't speak to all of the styles, but I liked the Oktoberfest beer. read more

We love coming to new breweries and took the half hour drive out here excited to try another. Let's just say they all had the same....uhm...taste let's say. They almost taste like they are rancid. Not sure if the stuff has been sitting for a while. I would go to Long Ireland, Greenport brewery, or North fork brewery instead. Even if it was free I don't know if I would order another..... Hopefully they work on their beers and we will enjoy in the future! read more

Stopped by this weekend. The place is sweet, and will be good in summer for sure. There were 2 other couples at the small bar, so I ordered and moved to a table. I ordered a seasonal beer and a scotch ale for my husband. He enjoys them. That was the start of a super awkward situation. The couple on the left (I think they were the owners) immediately started loudly commenting about how strong the ale is, how we will need a designated driver. I said yes, he knows them. Then it was just overly friendly, loud questions...just too much. I didn't really respond, but I did hear the man speak to the woman, who said I know I know...Im jumping on her. Then the bartender brought the beers, and said 'ok...whos the designated driver?' So awkward, waited for confirmation...wtf? For reference, a scotch ale is 12% abv...like a glass of wine. They are served in small glasses. We are in our sixties. These folks were legitimately policing my husband's beer. It was just bizarre, and I was really weirded out. Anyway, its fine. The beers were nice, the place is cute. Everybody just needs to relax and be cool. read more

Tastefully done new tasting room and staffed by owners who care about the product being created and served, & those that come to visit. Only 5 on tap thus far but owner Doug is bringing his concepts to the table as fast as he can. From what I've heard he has many interesting ideas and recipes. I genuinely liked the place. read more
