I'm not sure whether this could be considered to be the biggest shopping centre in Australia, but it probably is one that has some of the best views, especially around the food court just next to the cinemas. Look, while I'm not a big fan of shopping centres, this place does certainly have some charm about it. Happy 10th Birthday WBJ :) Wow, so fast. My time (lucky) at Westfield Bondi Junction is fab. It does spell luxe. Have been to many parties and shopping events here for work and leisure, as well as doing some private shopping. Lost touch as to how many times I've been here. You can easily spend your dough here if you're not careful. Faves: * Event Cinemas - love Gold Class here, as well as the CATF movie events. Heck, they even run a Christian church service at 10am every Sunday. Can't forget Max Brenners' nearby. * Fitness First Platinum * Swarovski * Mozi Boutique - great, cheap gems for the home. Hey, even brought an iPhone 5 cover here, and it does not break or show any signs of wear and tear! * Room 4 Pets * Virgin Mobile - upgraded myself onto a great mobile phone plan here * Great food including Food Halls * A brand spanking new dentist that is soooo affordable * Typo * Lululemon - especially for free yoga classes (bring your own mat) every Sunday morning at 9am for 1 hour * The Eastern! * A beaut little kids play area in the food court on level 4 A couple of negatives: * Those organic skin bars, and their hard sell tactics. * The smile bar...my teeth were only white for a couple of days. * Pricey acupuncture on the highest floor. Even after 6pm on Wednesday, it's still busy with lots of shoppers. Especially Coles Supermarket, Bakery Delight, Persons Flower shop and my destination Harris Farms Markets area. It's very good because people still can do shopping after work. This shipping Centre is closed 6pm but Level 1 which these tenants are located still open. Coles here opens till midnight and Harris Farms Markets opens till 10pm. read more

Westfield Bondi Junction is one of the larger of the shopping centres in Sydney and boasts some of the large retailers you would expect to find such as Target, David Jones, Myer, JB Hifi, Dick Smiths, Coles, Woolworths but to name a few. The shopping complex is divided into two sections of which both can be accessed by crossing the street or crossing a tunnel platform above the ground. One side of the centre boasts the luxury brands such as Channel, Jimmy Choo, Armani, Ralph Lauren and the other one is more mainstream so stores like Surf Dive and Ski, Oxford, Nike. The shopping centre can be a little confusing I will admit and sometimes if your looking for a store it might be in the opposite building and that can be difficult to find if its a different level too. Got a lot of food options here as well with level 3 offering your basic food court with choices like sumo salad, Indian fast food, subway, McDonalds and KFC. Level 5 then offers fancier dining with Luxe Bar, Thairiffic Noodle Bar, Fogo. Level 6 then has some fine dining choices such as Kelly's Bar and Grill, Ryu and Bondi Pizza. The centre also offers some other activities to keep every busy and out of trouble like Event Cinema or even Fitness First which included a child minding centre. You kind of get the feeling that when Frank Lowy designed Bondi Junction Westfield (also known as "The Junction") that he was creating a type of shopping experience he would like to have. This is no ordinary shopping complex - this a luxury shopping experience - which caters for the sophisticated Eastern Suburbs shopper. This shopping centre has EVERYTHING in it from a gym to Louis Vuitton to post office - if you want ANYTHING to can probably find it here... Its a massive building and uniquely designed so when you visit for the first time you will get lost (guaranteed) so try keep an eye on landmarks so that you can find your way.... the same is to be said for parking - there's LOTs of parking but its easy to loose your car...so try to remember what floor and what area you were on before you leave the car park area.... Parking is free for 2 hours and free after 6PM....plus if you see a movie they validate your ticket for free 3 hour parking... I love the junction...as a local I think we sometimes take it for granted...but I do think its a wonderful place to eat, see a movie, do your grocery shopping and buy clothes.... well done Mr Lowy! read more

I've gotten to know my way around the Westfield Shopping Centre in Bondi Junction fairly well in the years since it sprung up and turned Bondi Junction into a hive of activity and murdered the surrounding "village" areas like Double Bay and Edgecliff. Most people find it so much more convenient to just have everything in one place - and the behemoths that are Westfield shopping centres certainly provide that! The food court in the Harbour Room (under the cinemas) has a great variety of really good food- from Korean to wood-fired pizza, Mexican, South Indian... this is not your usual food court fare and has kept up to standard from day one. There are beauticians, fashion outlets from designer high-end to cheap as chips Supre, electronic stores, supermarkets, a multiplex cinema, pet store... most of what you could need can be found here. The centre is pretty clean and well-maintained but REMEMBER WHERE YOU LEFT YOUR CAR! You have been warned. There's 2 sides to Westfield Bondi Junction. Literally. You have the Myer and Coles side and the David Jones and Woolworths side - divided by the bus lane-way and joined together by glass bridges. The Myer side seems to be brighter (thanks to the massive skylight in the roof) and slightly easier to navigate as all's it's levels go straight ahead, as opposed to the DJ's side, where you go in one entrance, walk straight ahead thinking you're going to come out at the opposite exit, and somehow you've managed to go down a level! OK, that was just the first few times (sort of), but there were definitely two different architects working on this mega-mall. It holds all the usual suspects in the shopping world, and each side has it's own food court. The DJ's side is definitely the swankier of the two though - you can ever buy lobster there, although I've never been inclined to eat lobster in a shopping mall food court. There's also a Fitness First (Platinum edition!) located on that side, although I can't go back there as I owe them quite a bit of money! Like most Westfield's, it covers everything from the affordable to the requires-a-mortgageable, so most of your Xmas shopping can be done here with no problems or need to go out into the summer heat! read more

You'll find that purpose in spades at Westfield Bondi Junction, along with kitchen supplies, electronic stores, high end fashion, spas, sporting goods, food, puppies, video game suppliers, groceries, gyms, craft stores, beauty treatments, tea, homewares, tailors, Mexican food... really anything you could fancy at all. And it's all packaged up in a big shiny box for your expedited consumption goodness. Attempt to pull off the rare get-in-get-out if you can manage, but more realistically you should grab a Boost Juice on your way in and accept the fact that it'll likely be a few hours before you see the light of day again. read more

Crazy busy - but it's a week and a half before Christmas so that's out of the ordinary. This place is huge, covering a block and a half. It's a few years old since it's renovation but still fairly well respected in terms of mall quality. All the regular shops you come to expect, plus grocery stores. Has a Norton St grocer too which is nice. The fact that it has a movie cinema makes it a fave for many in the eastern burbs of Sydney. I wouldn't mind if they had more sit down areas, but I do like the fact that their food court has a wide open space for sitting. They also have some good selections for food throughout the place, though these tend to change fairly regularly (year-ish). Probably high rents. It's not enough to head back on a regular basis, but it's nice enough to make me not want to vomit with nausea when contemplating heading to a mall. read more

A playground to please parents, at same time annoy shoppers. Haven't been here for a while, now I can't believe they put a playground in level 4 fast food area. I know this is going to be controversial, but I can't enjoy some meal now... When I last checked in here and thought about writing my review, I thought 'hmm, how many times would I have been to WBJ?' I didnt know the answer. It would be more than 50, less than 100. WBJ used to be my absolute go-to when in need of entertainment by material consumption. Its a great place to shop for what you need and is designed to have enough light going through the building that you don't feel like you are shopping somewhere awful. A few shops have changed in the last few years but you can still get everything from Just Jeans to Chanel. And now a Zara, but sadly no more Borders. As online shopping increases I find myself here less and less, but it is a place you can go and find what you need, or if you are the extreme lengths of boredom - kill some time shopping or seeing a movie. The 'adult food court' as I call it (really named The Harbour Room) has a great view of the harbour (surprise) and above average food for a food court. Best coffee = Luxe espresso on Level 3. read more

Westfield Bondi Junction has improved from a shopping centre to a designer mecca. There are endless shops to tickle your fancy. Leona Edmiston, Peeptoe, Country Road, Ben Sherman and of course David Jones and Myer which are home to a plethora of mens and womens designer wear. It is fabulous to have everything in the one vicinity however the downfall of this is that you can lose time in this vortex. There is free parking for two hours underground, which is great, just remember exactly where you parked as it can be a little confusing and I have got lost on many occasion. There are the food courts upstairs to satiate you mid shop and on the lower level, Coles and the fabulous Norton Grocer. A cute little health food store resides there also. So whether it is cameras, electrical, art supplies or just a good old fashion fix, Westfield can be a convenient option for the Eastern Suburbs clan. read more

With hours to while away, money in your pocket, and no sunshine outside, Westfield Bondi Junction is heaven. You need time - I have trouble finding anything more than once, including my car; you need money - this is designer Mecca, though step outside the main Mall and you do have some cheap-and-cheerful alternatives. And there's no point going in on a sunny day, 'cos you won't come out for breath to see it and the architect has incorporated casino-like ruses to make the time pass from day to night without missing a beat. I'm glad I don't live nearby and need to pop by for a pint of milk ( ... I'd never find one ...), but as destination-shopping I love it. Dedicate a day - ideally a long way from Christmas or any form of school holiday - and enjoy an indulgent browse. You don't even need to buy anything. PS Beware the carpark: low height clearance, some tricky tight corners and no logic. Drop popcorn. read more

It's pretty easy to get lost in this place if you aren't too familiar with it - there's two separate sides to the shopping centre and a whole lot of bridged walkways and levels in between. Luckily the people at the customer service counter are happy to help you out (if you can find them) otherwise they have those nifty touch screen information kiosks that have seemed to pop up all over the place. They have quite a collection of designer stores here that mirror the ones that are available at the Pitt Street mall Westfield, and you can tell which of the people here shop at them. One third of the people here are tourists, the others are too well-dressed for a mere shopping day out and the rest are wearing swimwear that's seeped through their clothing - though perhaps there's even a good mix of all three. In my opinion, you're most comfy doing the beach thing or the shopping thing, but not both. read more

Ah.. Bondi Westfield.... where you feel that it's a 'privilege' to park for 2 hrs for 'free' - otherwise start to fork out the $$$$. I'd hate to see what this place is like during the week - suppose it's a bit of a ghost town - with the same same shops that you can get anywhere else - in any other soul sucking Westfield. There's not really much to see here in any case - a few levels of clothes shops that seem to be barely surviving; a nice big Harvey Norman - but you can travel to Moore Park and get free parking there, and the obligatory JB (again - 3 stores in the city that are easier to get too); Myers (barely surviving) and a few food places. Go ... if you want an hours walk around - then include the the 10 min to find a parking spot (unless u wish to go right to the bottom of the levels) - and then the 10min to get out. read more

Westfield Bondi Junction is like a mini-city. It has a HUGE shopping centre with a large variety of shops that will cover most people desires. I found it a bit confusing to work my way around it, although that may have been due to it being the first time I've been there. It is a short train trip from the Sydney CBD and you can always walk down to Bondi Beach from here which is a bonus! read more

Prefer Bondi Junction to the City or Chatswood. All stores are in one location, which makes it a lot quicker to get your shopping done.

What can be said about Westfield Shopping Centre at Bondi Junction. I love it and I hate it. Actually I don't love it, I'm male after all but I like it some times and hate it others. It's so big and gets so packed and that's when I don't like it but because it's so big there's plenty of stores in there to choose from I don't have to travel too far. I just have to find my way around the place. I do like the food court though when I want to reward myself and there is the Tea Gardens pub which is basically joined to it so when it all becomes too much there is an escape! read more

I have just returned from Westfield Bondi Junction .... Angry. What should have been a very quick pop in has turned into an hour long excursion, navigating myself through a maze of shops, levels and misdirection. The thing is Westfield Bondi Junction has good intentions. There is every shop conceivable in this one building so it rivals a trip into the CBD (especially with 2 hours free parking). But seriously, be prepared to get lost in this place. There really is no logic to the layout here with two buildings connected that share different levels so a simple 'where is the Nike store' elicits a very detailed response which is way too much to take in at one time. The icing on the cake is the carpark. You will loose your car. Or at the very least you will be a million miles away from where you actually parked bamboozled about how to get back there. I would say if you can avoid Westfield Bondi Junction, then do (unless you have the patience of a saint, which I clearly do not). read more

Max brenner chocolate cafe is certainly in the decadent category (for chocolate )..but unless you like your chocolate disgustingly super sweet its 'buyer beware'..ive tried the hot chocolate, the chocolate balls and a few other bits and pieces and they were all way over the top re a sugar hit...more like a sugar 'hit for six' ( home run)..the only item I liked and wouldnt put on the 'sickly sweet ' list was the chocolate bubka cake with a the chocky sauce on the side... that surely must be the 'go to' item here read more
