This company should make sure their drivers know how to drive. Someone just almost hit me then cut me off.

We hired Eastside Kitchen & Bath to renovate two bathrooms in our 1904 Victorian in Queen Anne -- a…read morefull primary bath with a clawfoot tub nook under a dormer ceiling and a kids bath with a tub/shower combo -- and they absolutely delivered. Drew, Alex, and Kate were all outstanding from start to finish. They were fair, clear, and upfront about scope, timeline, and budget from the very first walkthrough. No surprises, no hidden costs, no vague answers. When we asked detailed questions about framing, tile installation, and material compatibility, they answered with confidence and honesty -- including telling us when something wouldn't work or wasn't worth the spend. That kind of transparency is rare. The design documentation alone set them apart. Kate put together detailed material specifications, as-built plans, new floor plans, tile wall elevations, and full-color mood boards before a single tile was laid. Everything was organized, professional, and gave us complete clarity on what the finished rooms would look like. It made decision-making so much easier and eliminated the anxiety that comes with a major renovation. What impressed us most was how collaborative the entire process felt. Drew and Alex weren't just executing a plan -- they were thinking alongside us, offering suggestions that elevated the design, flagging potential issues before they became problems, and making sure every detail was right. They treated our home with respect and our vision with care. I did EXTENSIVE research before hiring Eastside Kitchen & Bath. They exceeded expectations. No crazy/scary remodel stories you hear -- if you have an older home in Seattle and want a team that understands the character of these houses while delivering a high-quality result -- Eastside Kitchen & Bath is who you want. We couldn't recommend Drew, Alex, Kate and the entire crew more highly.

I don't remember who I spoke to but I do remember that he said I would likely not choose them because they wouldn't be the cheapest. I don't know how or why he came to that conclusion in our brief phone conversation, but I told him I wasn't looking for the "cheapest", I was looking for the best solution. He scheduled a visit and did some measurements and we discussed possible options. I also let him know I was interested in kitchen redesign so that I could have a bigger fridge but he didn't seem interested and just went back to the powder room. When he was done, he said it would take about two weeks for a quote but I may need to reach out to him again. I asked if he had a card and he said no, then left. That was on June 11 and now it's July 28. If a business wants my business, they would send a quote. Maybe my little job isn't worth their time because business is booming, who knows. When your gut tells you they aren't interested, listen to your gut.

TASK: Remove existing backsplash and countertop and install a new backsplash and countertop…read more PROBLEM 1: NEITHER THE DEMOLITION CREW NOR THE INSTALLATION CREW WAS RESPONSIBLE FOR PREPPING THE COUNTERTOPS. Nothing was covered. All contents of the drawers were contaminated by demolition materials. In addition, during the demolition, the underlayment of the countertops was damaged. As stated in the contract, this was not to be addressed by Granite and Marble Specialists (GMS). Once the island countertop was removed, you could see that a heavy layer of glue remained on the underlay. The installers said that that was not their responsibility. They installed the countertop over the uneven underlayment of the residual glue. This meant that there were up to 1/2 inch gaps between the counter and the underlayment, stretching a span of 108.5 inches. Over time, this will lead to instability and breakage of the stone. The installers forged ahead and installed the new countertop independent of the gaps. The installers were adamant that they had installed the island countertop to level. RESULT: We had to remove the new countertop and have the surface sanded to level before having them reinstall the countertop. PROBLEM 2: NEITHER THE DEMOLITION CREW NOR THE INSTALLATION CREW WAS RESPONSIBLE FOR PREPPING THE BLACKSPLASH AFTER DEMOLITION. This meant that it was the homeowner's responsibility to install drywall and to make sure that the backsplash was level. The backsplash was 1.5 inches unlevel from one end of the backsplash to the other. Thus, in addition to the provision of drywall because the existing drywall was damaged during demolition, we had to shim the drywall to ensure the backsplash was level for the backsplash installation. RESULT: We had to go buy wood, cut it to the specific dimensions and install the new underlayment for the backsplash. IN SUM: GMS provided what the contract stated, an installed countertop and backsplash. It was not stated in the contract that it be level or that it be level to the degree that it was level prior to the new installation. The installers showed it to be level because the countertop was 108.5 inches long X 46 inches wide X 3cm deep. So, BEWARE. If this is the type of installation you are looking for, this is the organization for you.

They provided guidance, creativity, and follow-up every step of the way. Their computer-generated kitchen plans and visual images were very helpful in assuring us that the design they described is what we wanted and in the price range we were looking for. Adrian was our assigned on-site contractor. He was phenomenal to work with. His knowledge, skill, reliability, and "easy-to-work-with" personality made the process from demo to project signoff a smooth and stress-free experience. Adrian and Vered never let any unforeseen or unexpected situation alter or delay project progress. They worked together to offer solutions and resolution in a timely manner. Adrian and one or two other helpers did most of the work themselves, so we were never waiting on subcontractors. The project started on time and finished on schedule. We could not have been more pleased with the results. We are very happy to have selected Lux Design Builds and highly recommend them for your upcoming remodel.

The team worked efficiently, skillfully, and ahead of schedule! It seems like Eagle Construction can build anything you ask them to. Doru is someone I can trust. As someone who pays close attention to detail, I especially appreciated his precision and craftsmanship. I am so glad we went with him, and his pricing was fair. What stood out most was his honesty and thorough approach. We had reached out to several contractors for quotes, but Doru was the only one who took the time to measure our space accurately and fully understand what we wanted. He never pressured us into additional work and instead offered thoughtful guidance and expert recommendations. Despite working quickly, the final result was of quality and what we envisioned. I would absolutely hire Eagle Remodel again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for reliable, detail-oriented work, and people you can trust.

Attention to details lacking. Promises broken resulting in delay of installation…read more Asked multiple times before start of project for a crew to come out (at least 2 people) to ensure timely installation within 2 day window of time promised. We were assured by Salesperson and Manager that a full crew would be sent. Day of installation, only one installer showed up with only his personal pick up, which could not hold all needed supplies. I had to assist the tech and use our own hand truck and dolly to remove the tub. Tech ( very nice young man who, as it turns out, had only been with the company for a month) had to keep leaving to go to Home Depot for supplies which delayed his work. There were multiple issues with his not being able to connect with the company's supply depot and get all needed materials for the punch list. Due to these delays and only having 1 tech, the 2 day project turned into 4 . Could not take a shower until morning of 5th day! Also, noticed prior to installation that installation diagram had shower caddy in wrong corner. Again, told this to Salesperson and Manager Prior to the start of the project. Plans were not corrected. We told the tech at the start of the 3rd day of installation that the plans he had were wrong and the shower caddy needed to be installed at rear corner not the front. At end of day after all installation was completed, when he asked for review of his work, the caddy had been installed at the front corner, not the back as had been discussed multiple times! The next morning we discovered multiple areas where there were gaps of caulking missing , including a 4 inch length with no caulk at all!! You could put a credit card in the gap. The Tech had to come back on a 4th day ( his day off) to take care of all the missed areas of caulking. We discovered the shower curtain rod is too low and too far in on day 5. Had to install a second shower curtain rod ourselves at the correct height and depth. Overall not the experience we were hoping for or were promised. Materials seem OK, and we are so glad to be rid of the old tub, but would not recommend using a company that doesn't deliver what it promised.
