Snake River Angler - Michael, our guide was very knowledgeable about the river, the wildlife, and Jackson Hole in general! We had such a good time!

My nephew and I, first timers, appreciated Boots expertise and his patience. We began our 4 hour fly fishing experience at Jackson Lake dam (where we spotted a grizzly!) and floated down the Snake River. Just as fabulous as the fly fishing experience was, it was equally as wonderful to be floating down the Snake River through scenic, majestic landscape, and hear the sounds of wildlife and the running, gurgling Snake River. The stunning landscape is forever imbedded to a lovely memory. Boots taught us casting techniques, strategies and and tactics, and he tied our flies for us. He is an outstanding teacher because my nephew and I both caught, and reeled in, a Snake River Fine-spotted Cutthroat Trout. Snake River Angler services: *Fly Fishing Lessons, 2.5 hours on the water learning about casting, fly selections, knots, fish handling and etiquette. *Half day Guided Fishing, Up to 4 hours of Guided fishing on the water - 2 people per boat/guide. *Full day Guided Fishing, Up to 8 hours of Guided Fishing on the water - 2 people per boat/guide Lunch included. Their are two locations with full service fly shops in Moose and Jackson Wyoming. Additionally, they carry al large selection of fly fishing gear from clothing to rods.

Fished with Ryan October 2023. Initially was to be an all day trip, but I called and changed it to…read morehalf-day since the bite didn't start til later in the morning. Fishing was great. When I called to check out I was told the half-day charge was $695. That's 90% of the whole day charge! Now, this isn't my first rodeo. I've been fishing in Jackson for years, but this is much more than I expected for a half-day trip. But, I sucked it up....then Bruce, the guy on the phone starts complaining that my tip is too low. Really!? Not cool or appropriate. Well, I pay and I call Scott a couple of weeks later. He makes me feel like its my fault. Now, I know it's buyer beware, but, there was no sense of customer service or certainly any interest to have me use them again. Too bad, I really enjoyed Ryan, the guide. John B

Easy to book (got lucky and there was a spot for 2 for a half day trip in Summer, I booked it about…read morea week before.) I recommend you book months in advance tho. Got our fishing licenses there the day before. It's an easy walk from anywhere downtown to the store. Brian our guide met us there for our fishing day. He was great, we drove out and then jumped in his truck for the remainder of the arrival. It was July so the area was beautiful, still a little snow on the Teton's. Didn't fly fish, but we reel fished the float trip and caught a ton of fish. Brian was knowledgable, professional and fun! He knew a ton about the area, and we really had the perfect day. Highly recommend.

Wow. What a fly shop. Their file's are the best i have ever seen hands down. The guys/gals inside…read moreare very knowledgeable and friendly as well. We took a guided float trip with Chase. He was a PHENOMENAL guide! He was extremely patient, knowledgeable, and just straight up, cool as hell. From the first few minutes he had us on fish. He also had us bring our EURO rod so we could learn to use it and fish some faster sections using it. He taught us so much about the Euro rod and techniques to use with it. My girlfriend caught the biggest German Brown of her life! I know for a fact he used his own personal flies even though we got 24 flies included with the trip. Really appreciate him. The one drawback of the trip was they forgot to pack the meat for our sandwiches! Fortunately chase brought a ton of pasta and was kind enough to share it with us! Would never book anywhere else other than Three Rivers if i return to Idaho for another run on the snake. Will double check for the meat next time though!

My brother in law (thanks Tate!) took me for the day to float the river and learn to fly fish. Upon our arrival we met with guide Chad who gave me a quick lesson on the lawn out front of the fishing shop. This 10 minute lesson was so effective that it set the tone for the rest of the day. The fishing shop is beautiful with couches, a fireplace... and more flies (artificial fishing flies) than your local dump. I purchased my fishing license and we were off. Chad ( and as I can assume all of the guides ) made me feel like a pro even though it was my first time out on the river. We got a TON of bites and it was clear that this ranch is located in the heart of trout country. It is important to note that I was there as a family friend for the day, and did not experience the full overnight cabin experience.... and I am truly sad I didn't get to see this ranch's full potential. The cabins were beautiful and surrounded a common clubhouse with a full kitchen (and chefs of course) full bar, old style piano, and the feeling of good 'ol fun. I can imagine how relaxing it would be to come back from a full day of fishing to have a nice dinner and a drink while relaxing in the clubhouse. A night of quiet cabin sleep, and then back on the river with a guide the next morning. A MUST for any fisherman (or woman) in the area. Make the trip, stay the night and prepare to mount up some amazing memories.

Definitely, definitely, definitely recommend! I know there are a plethora of places to go fishing…read morein Henry's Fork, as well as guides who can show you the ropes but for a novice and a few amateurs Henry's Fork Anglers know their stuff. We had two guides on a four day fishing tour and each day was a different experience. We were pairs with a new guide every day and they all really knew their stuff. The area, weather wise made each day different but each guide made the best of it. I would say, overall the pro shop was well kept and clean and full of different items for purchase but getting down to the nitty gritty for fishing, exploring the areas best spots and each guide knowing their way around the area and really giving us the gold standard for treatment, I really felt it was a place I would want to return time and time again. Even if you just want to get a1-2 or4-5 day trip in, you can't beat Henry's Fork Anglers guided tour.

The weather was the worst ever. Our Guide, Pierce was the BEST guide we have had at Henry's Fork…read more He worked hard to help us "hunt" for risers and then took it to striking distance by walking the boat. Even with wild winds, we were able to get close to big fish and see a lot of action because our guide knew what he was doing. The first question he asked us was how long we had been fly fishing and what we wanted to do. Then he delivered. He was very enthusiastic and knew how to fish in the conditions that we were dealt. I have been fly fishing for 20 years. With what I learned from Pierce, the next day on the ranch I was able to get seven (7) large fish in one hour. That is the best I have ever done on Herriman Ranch. Next year when we come back, I will ask for Pierce. The attached photo is one that I took of my fishing partner and Pierce. I was in the high 40s with wild winds when we caught that trout.
