I don't recommend this butcher…read more First the lady at the desk is very rude. Talks with a harsh tone and down to you. This was my first time going to this butcher for my cow and I will never return. Online it says $.80lb for cut and wrap for hang weight and when I showed up they charged me $.96lb. When I acknowledged it's more than they said it's not our fault this is what we charge. Then when I requested my organs to my cow they said we just have to add the weight to the hang weight because it's not included and add the pounds. When I showed up they had a completely different price. A few almost $6 a pound. They said they get to keep the organs and sell them back to us at wholesale price. They claimed it's a law. I'm not sure if it is or not, though I don't understand why when I bought a full cow you take my cows organs and sell them back to me at a higher price. Also, I asked for 2lb packages of ground beef and the first two I ate both weighed 1.72lbs. I have bought many cows but never the size of this cow. The cow they cut for me was 40lbs heavier then my other cows cut by a different butcher and when I stocked my freezer it was significantly less meat then when I got a smaller cow. Usually I am sharing the meat with family because I have no more storage space. Doesn't make any sense. I have space for another 60-70lb of meat. They told me my cow would be ready in 3 weeks maybe 3.5 weeks. 2 days shy of a month I had to call to ask where my meat is and they said it will be ready in a day. A lot of inconsistencies with this butcher, no accountability to their miscommunication and inconsistency, don't quote accurate timing and I feel they stole some of my beef. I attached a screen record video of their site showing the info and my calendar on my phone showing you today's date. Also a copy of my invoice I paid for complete transparency.

I've purchased meat from this butcher 3 times. I buy the cow from somewhere else and this butcher…read morehas been excellent. My first time i had no idea what it even looked like to buy a cow. I was very impressed with the packaging. It's labeled well. It's sealed well. The quality is perfect. They also brought everything out to my car and loaded it for me. I let them know i was splitting the cow with a friend, so they broke everything up in half and put it into thick black bags so it was very easy to split up. Totally worth the 1.5 hour drive! I'll be purchasing again many more times.

I was lucky to secure a half a pig from a local High School that had raised this pig from infancy…read more Due to Covid and High School ending early they needed to harvest the pig. It was taken to Circle V meats for processing. I called them a week before and told them how I wanted it cut. I'm very fussy and borderline ridiculous in my requests. Not only did they do exactly as I asked they had it ready and wrapped and brought it to my car and loaded it. I'm squeamish when it comes to meat processing plants. This place is huge and amazing When I heard about all of the meat packing places shutting down I was beyond thrilled to buy local and know where the animal cane from and what it ate. You don't need your own animals they only buy locally grown animals and there are many farms in this area so they have plenty of meat in stock to purchase at reasonable prices.

I love the HomeTown burger. The sauces are really good on it, my son loves it too. The Ranch burger…read morewith jalapeños is also really good. My brother and I first tried that one at the Delta location. Great, high quality burgers. I have also bought sirloin steaks there a few times and bought a chuck roast for last Sunday dinner. The meats cost less than Walmart and are way way way better. This place is my go-to now for that, I like a high quality local product and was surprised that they cost less than the lower quality meat you can buy around here. A+ for the butcher side of this place.

I was excited to try the new Salem location after having such a good experience at Ashton's…read moreoriginal Delta restaurant. Unfortunately, my first visit didn't quite live up to my expectations. I went through the drive-thru, and the young woman taking my order wasn't very familiar with the menu. I asked about the Slammer, which was listed under the Brotz and dogs, but stated that it had tri-tip, I was trying to discern if this was served like a steak and everything but when I asked the attendant she couldn't really describe it. When I asked if she could check, she came back without any additional information and simply asked what I'd like to order. Since I couldn't get more details, I played it safe and ordered a bacon cheeseburger and a small order of fries, which are cooked in beef tallow. The burger had a few things going for it. It was on a toasted bun. The bacon was thick and cooked well, there were plenty of fresh onions, two pickle slices, and a tomato. Unfortunately, the beef itself was underseasoned, and the much-advertised "Ashton Secret Sauce" was surprisingly bland. I actually think the burger would have been much better with the fry sauce, which was easily the highlight of the meal. The fries had good flavor and I appreciated that they were fresh-cut, but they arrived lukewarm and limp, as though they'd been sitting under a heat lamp for a while. I also didn't receive any napkins with my order. That said, this is a brand-new location, and opening a restaurant is no small feat. I'm hopeful they'll work through the early growing pains because the original Delta location set a high standard. They also have a large menu, and burgers aren't typically my go-to order anyway, so I'll definitely give them another chance and try something different on a future visit.
